EP 381: The 2026 Epic Outdoors Winter Hunts Giveaway

Hey everybody, Jason Carter, John Peterson, of course the entire Epic crew except for Adam. He's just coming home from a desert sheep hunt that we gave away with Roberto Noriega in Mexico. It was a successful hunt. It was just awesome. And anyway, so he's not here with us today, but he is here with us. I want to say in spirit, but on the phone because he has been hitting me nonstop. It's kind of fun. We love giving these hunts away. We're giving a grundle of hunts away. We're giving a gear package worth $15,000. We're giving cash worth $15,000 basically to go toward a hunt, not a truck or quad or something like that, but toward a hunt, Texas Barbary sheep. It'll be awesome. New Mexico antelope for two. Utah mule deer on a CWMU ranch up in northern Utah that's always been awesome for the guys that win. Nevada mule deer hunt with Greg Krogan, muggy on rim outfitters.

Includes the landowner tag as well as Utah elk with a landowner tag here in the southwest desert. Guided the whole thing. We purchased the tag already. Alaska caribou hunt for two. One winner. Party of two. Get to go. And then, of course, the Yukon stone sheep. Kind of did it in reverse order. I don't know. John tells us what to do, and we do it. And so that's what we did. You know, build up to the grand finale. I'm personally, I mean, Nevada deer or something like that's my grand finale. But it's awesome. We appreciate everybody's participation, and it's way fun. We'll, of course, continue to give hunts away as long as it makes sense. It's helpful on a membership drive and everything else that goes with it. Thank you all. We appreciate it. I actually talked to him today. Yeah. We did actually. He was excited. Yeah. He knew this was happening. He was excited to hear who the winners are and talk to him and get it going. So yeah. So he shot his first deer last year. And so, um, awesome. He wants to go hunt antelope. So yeah, that's fantastic. Okay. Perfect. All right. Well, yeah. He won the New Mexico antelope hunt for two. It'll be three days. Uh, be late August, August, 2026 this year with TG. Oh, that's awesome. TG's trophy hunts. And so we'll be hitting you Monday and give you all the details. And if he has to miss the first two days of school, he'll be all right. Yeah. Uh, yeah. He misses a week for deer season and all that. So yeah.

How many days do you think I've missed over the course of my life when I was young? And it makes no difference. I'm still stupid. It doesn't matter. It does not matter. And look at Wyatt. You have to miss more days than me. Turned out all right. And it does show, by the way.

I just love that at the end, Devin says something, Wyatt throws down his fork, he's like, I knew it. It was a slightly spicy ranch dressing. Wyatt took a long time to eat this salad. Finally, I was like... There's some things that are just spicy. Right, Wyatt? Yeah. And we don't appreciate it. Orange chicken at Panda Express is my max.

That doesn't even have the little pepper by it. Sometimes it has those red flakes and it gets you. Especially if they accidentally use a dish that they had already used for something else. Pretty awesome. So, is Adam there with you? He's not. He's actually on his way home from a hunt we gave away, a desert sheep in Mexico. I was going to say, I have his cell phone. That's funny. That's borderline Harrison. I had a, man. Well, I'm pretty nice when they call. Like, I just say, I'm not interested. She's too nice. Thank you, but I'm not interested. I'm just like, I'm like, what? And this guy went on and on, you know, how they keep trying to pitch you their line, and I'm like, honestly, like. They're trained never to take no for an answer. Just like, I'm not interested. And so anyway, then I hung up because it, you know, he wasn't getting the message. And pretty soon I get a text and it's the bird. Just the emoji. That's it? Just the emoji. That's it. I'm like, oh, wow. That's probably the only way that guy can just be happy in life. Yeah. Yeah. I got her. Because you know some people have to text him back like, really? Oh, he's got to be a miserable person. I mean, he does that. His whole life is misery.

And what's interesting is that's the universal sign. It doesn't matter where he's from. We all know what it means. We all know what that means, right? Yeah. It's pretty funny. Pretty funny. Last night, I got home last night. This random girl knocks on our door. We have a ring camera. It doesn't ring in or nothing. We're like, who's that? Throw the dog in the garage. Answer the door. I kid you not. Her face could not have been more than eight inches from my door. I open the door, and I'm like, have to step back like, whoa. She's like, oh, you're not who I was looking for. I'm like, who are you looking for? Some other name. He must be down the street. Gets her car and drives off. Like, totally normal girl, but you could tell she was like starved. You think she was looking for Logan? That was a meetup. She was about to kiss you. No. Well, I don't know.

It was like, you open the door, and your face is like normal, and it's like she was uncomfortably close already. This is weird. To answer your question, they're all looking for me. They just don't know it yet. Wow. Coming from a guy who's in the prime time of his life to be single, women all around, and he's been single for how long? And literally, literally. Ouch. Do we really want to compare numbers at this table?

Numbers of what, Logan? What numbers do you want? We'll bust out all the stats. Every one of them. I don't know if this is a fight you want to get into. Who even says that? You're dealing with college professionals, Logan. These two spent eight to ten years in college. 16 combined. We've got two doctorate degrees. They are married now. They wouldn't dare speed those stats. When we were in high school, we did stuff. We were out and about. We didn't sit at home and snap each other. You've never played Xbox then. Poor amigos. What kind of numbers is an Xbox going to get you? Thus they are married. That's my point. Double digits, baby.

How old is Brody? Brody's my age. A little younger. That's also his mom. Mom.

So like. What? At 18, your mom's decided to do anything with you. You don't have time with you. It's true. Mom will do anything. She'd probably be psyched to shake your hand.

I'm just glad Logan has thick skin. Me too. It's fun. You take some heat. We have a good time. Take a while. But how do you. I'd probably cry. I want to know your approach. Like how do you ask? Oh, dude. You just say, hey. When you're texting the girls. You get like for dating apps. This is great. So you're texting them. You just tell them. Like do you want to go on a date? They say yeah. And then you say we're going to build Legos. And have some crumble at my house. You just go right to it. Yeah. Some crumble. You spice it up a little. But I've heard as long as you come at them with a plan. They're in. Should we try these guys? Just dating is phenomenal nowadays. Just having an official date. You ask someone out. You're a hero.
