Epic Tripod FAQs
Which Epic tripod should I get?
If you glass sitting down and count ounces on backcountry hunts, get the Lite. If you want one tripod that does everything including stand-up glassing, get the Ultra. If you run big binoculars or a full-size spotter and want maximum stability, get the MAXX.
Will they handle a full-size spotting scope?
Yes. Every head in the line is rated to 9 pounds and handles large spotting scopes, and the MAXX legs are rated to 33 pounds for the biggest glass you can mount.
What comes in a combo?
Legs, the Epic fluid head, a Quick Release Arca Swiss mounting plate, a short center column for a lay-flat setup, and a soft carrying case.
What makes the Epic head different?
It was designed by the Epic Outdoors crew specifically for glassing. The side friction knob locks your tilt while the pan stays fluid, so you can grid a hillside smoothly without the image drifting off your line.
Are the heads Arca Swiss compatible?
Yes. Every head features an Arca Swiss mount and includes a mounting plate, and quick release plates and anti-twist plates are available separately.
