You're listening to the Epic Outdoors Podcast, brought to you by Fierce Firearms. Epic Outdoors choice for custom hunting rifles.
Alright everybody, here we are. We just drew the winners for the Epic Hunt Summer 2025 Epic Hunt giveaway. And it's pretty awesome. Great time, great day. A lot of excited people, they just don't know it yet. Nine really excited people that don't know it. Just don't know it. So anyway, we're going to give them a holler, tell them what they've got, and kind of record their expressions and whatnot. Pretty fun. Jubilation. Yeah. So anyway, we've got here, we're starting on the East Coast, I guess. So we've got Andrew Revach, he drew the Nevada elk with Deadline Outfitters up in the 076081 country. Pretty awesome hunt. Clues to land on our tags, we're going to give them a holler. See if he answers. These guys from Pennsylvania are elk hunters. There's a lot from that. Well, there's a million guys. A couple of them are going to hunt out. There are. But just...
Hello.
Hey, is this Andrew? Yes, it is. Hey Andrew, this is Cash and the entire Epic Outdoors crew. How are you? I'm pretty good. Good. Andrew, Jason Carter, Adam Bronson. Yeah. We're just checking in with you today. Just seeing if you're having a good day today. Oh yeah, I'm having a decent day. Good. Let's make it better. I'd like to make it better for you and tell you that you entered the drawing we had going and you won the Nevada elk hunt. I did. You did. Very great.
It's a pretty good day. Yeah. So you're... Pick your season up there on the 076, 081 with Deadline Outfitters this fall. Okay. Oh, it'll be rifle season. Okay. Yeah. Perfect. Awesome. Yeah. So... Most of the month of November to choose from there, right? It includes a landowner tag guided up there with Hobie Gartner and crew. They're super good guys. So we'll send you an email with all the details, but just an incredible opportunity. You know, very expensive hunt. Just awesome. Given this hunt away for four or five years now, we've had a lot of winters. They've all killed really good bulls. Really good bulls. Great elk. And so, yeah, hopefully you've got some time in November to head west. Oh, I do. I do. Perfect. Okay. Sounds good. Sounds good. Okay. All right. We'll be in touch soon. Yeah, you bet. Okay. All right. Bye. Bye. All right. Here we go, guys.
Let's call the Alberta wolf winner Richard Gorash in Florida.
I don't know. Give him a holler. See if he'll answer. We're going to need some warmer clothes from Florida going to Alberta in the wintertime.
Hello. This is Rich. Hey, Rich. Adam Bronson and the Epic Outdoors crew. How are you doing today? Good, Adam. How are you? Hey, we're doing good. Hey, we're calling you with some good news. Are you in Florida right now? Probably sunny down there. Yep. Yep. But we just did our 2025 summer membership drive, and you are the winner for the Alberta wolf hunt for two hunters next winter. So you're going to need some warmer clothes. Hot dog. Ha, ha, ha, ha. Hot dog. Yeah. That's great. All right. That's outstanding. Hot dog. Hot dog. No pun intended. Pun intended. Have you killed the wolf on some of your sheep hunts and whatnot up north? Have you ever killed the wolf? Yeah. We could help with this predator control thing. Oh, this is good. You know, I always want to hit the, you know, I would like going to do that desert with you,
Adam, but, you know, going up to Alberta and shooting some wolves, this is a great deal. Outstanding. Well, we'll be in touch in the next day or so. We'll shoot you an email with introducing you at Timber King Outfitters, the outfitter we bought the hunt from. It'll have your contact information, their contact information. You guys can kind of take it from there. It's kind of flexible between January and March next winter. In the meantime, you'll just have to be thinking, who's your lucky friend? You're going to be inviting on that hunt in the meantime. Wow. Yeah. I'd probably charge him. I mean, you could charge him.
Offset your travel or something. Where do I fly into? I believe it's Edmonton, if I'm not mistaken. Edmonton? Okay. But anyway, we'll send you all those details. Super. And I want to call and congratulate you. Appreciate your support as far as here at Epic Outdoors. And yeah, we'll shoot you an email probably tomorrow introducing you at the outfitter and let you guys make the plans from there. But thanks a lot. Great. Sounds good. Thank you. Congratulations. Thanks, Jason. Thanks, Adam. Bye-bye.
Greg Hanson, Gear Package, California. Here we go.
Yeah, good.
Hello? Hey, is this Greg? Yes. Hey, it's Adam Bronson and Jason Carter from the Epic Outdoors Bunch here. How are you doing this afternoon? Not too bad. Good. Didn't interrupt work or something, did we? Oh, no. Nope. I'm off work heading home. Okay. Well, we're calling you with some good news today. We did our summer membership drive giveaway today, and you were one of the winners. I'll be damned.
I saw this number. I saw the Utah number come up. I'm like, you've got to be kidding me. Did I really win some? Well, you did. You won the gear package with over $15,000 of guns, bows, optics, and everything in there. So, congratulations. I'll be damned. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. Coa, Swarrow, Six Hours, Zeiss, the whole thing. So, anyway. Fierce, yeah. We'll be getting with you, and we'll get this package out to you. Yeah. We appreciate you. Perfect. Appreciate your support of us here. I'll shoot an email to you the next day or so. We'll get an FFL from you to ship your firearm, too. But the rest of it, we'll verify shipping address and whatnot. But congratulations. Yeah. Well, thank you, guys. Yep. That'll work then. All right. So, we'll be looking forward to it. Okay. Sounds good. Thanks a lot. Thank you. All right. Bye. Bye. Bye. Okay. The bonus. John Devin. Maybe Devin.
This is when Devin gets the place. Santa Claus with this guy. There you go. Brad. 15 G's. Hutchison.
Where is he from, Devin? Templeton, California. Yeah, that's something.
This is Brad with Bradley Engineering.
I thought it was a real one. He had me. Hello. Brad. Hey, it's Devin, Jason, Adam, John, the whole crew here. Epic Outdoors. How are you? I'm good. How are you? You still at work? Yes, I am.
Maybe push pause or something. All right. What do we got going on? No, we're calling you. You are the lucky winner for the winner's choice hunt. $15,000 to whatever hunt of your choice.
Oh, geez. That's great. Yeah. It's not a prank call. This is real. How about that? It's awesome. Yeah. So if you've got any plans, call me. We'll figure it out. Yeah. Let me get off of work here and stew on that little bit. Yeah. Yeah. We'll send you an email. We'll have all the details in there. And then you can just kind of stew on what you want to do. Yeah. No rush. We've got, you know, Devin will work with you. When is that hunt? Is that November or the winter hunt? Well, this is the winner's choice. You get a $15,000 hunt credit to book towards any hunt of your choice. This is the bonus giveaway that we had. So you get to choose what hunt you want to book. So anyway, just be thinking about that. You and Devin can work through a lot of options. Sky's the limit on that. From prairie dogs to brown bear. Yeah. I think I'll be going out to do a little prairie dog hunt.
You can do a prairie dog hunt for 20 people. Four days. Food and laundry.
All right, you guys. Thank you very much. All right. Sounds good. Congrats. See you, Brad. Thanks, Brad. Bye. Bye. That's awesome. Maybe his boss was standing right there or something. Well, you can see he was running. He was running. He was running. Yeah, he couldn't hear very good. He had to stop the machinery. Before you hit a gas line, stop digging for a minute.
All right. Let's see. We got New Mexico elk with John Bowers.
Who's up? John Peterson? Yeah. New Mexico elk with Acoma. Somewhere I can't see. John Bowers. Acoma. Okay. Okay, here we go. John Bowers. John and John. Just, yeah. Easy.
Hello. Hey, John. This is John at Epic Outdoors. How you doing? Hey, pretty good. How you doing? I'm doing good. Hey, I've got the whole Epic Outdoors crew on the line, and we just had our membership drive drawing. No kidding. Yeah. Yeah. So, do you by chance have an elk hunt booked this year? No, I really don't. What do I get? Well, let's send you. Let's send you to New Mexico on the Acoma Reservation. Holy shit. Really? Please.
I'm never this lucky. Yeah. You are today. Today is your day. You're not even the runner up. You are the one. You're the actual winner. I need to go buy a lottery ticket. Yeah. Well, you did. This is the win. This is it. This is what you want. Golly, that's so awesome. So, yeah, September 29th through October 3rd, and that's this year. And the last winner killed a giant bull. It's going to be awesome. Oh, my God. I'm so excited. Pretty awesome. Pretty awesome. Wow, man. We'll send you an email here in the next day or two and just introducing you with the folks at the Acoma. You guys can make your arrangement and plans there, but everything's fully paid for by us. They're super good people. Man, that is so awesome. God, I'm so glad I bought some tickets. Yeah. Well, we appreciate the support. Yep. Thanks, John. Oh, man, you guys are awesome, man.
I really enjoy your information and your magazine. You bet. Well, appreciate it. Awesome. Thanks a lot. Congratulations again. We'll be in touch. All right. Appreciate it. Thanks. All right. Thank you. Bye. Bye. Okay, here we go. Jason Young, Alaska Moose Hunt winner.
Jason, you there? Yeah. Hey, Jason Carter, Adam Bronson, the entire Epic Outdoors crew. How are you? Good. How are you? Good. Good. Hey, did you throw a few tickets here in our Epic Membership Drive this year? I did. Good. Well, we're calling you. You're not the runner-up. You're actually the winner for the Moose Grizzly Wolf. The Alaska Moose Hunt. The Alaska Moose Grizzly Wolf Hunt. Wow, that's terrific. Pretty unbelievable, actually. Hopefully, you have a gap there in September. Yeah, this fall. I am a retired guy, so I have a gap in my schedule, yes. That's awesome. Okay, it's September 7th to the 18th, 2025, with Alaska Wild Wind Adventures. We're going to email you all the details, get you guys in touch so you can get things squared away. Of course, time is of the essence. So, anyway, we'll be in touch by morning. Okay, that's fantastic, man. Thank you. All right. Sounds good.
Well, it looks like your fall just got pretty booked up. Yeah. Yeah, it did. That's outstanding. Okay. All right. All right. Sounds good. Congratulations. All right, man. Thank you. Thank you. You bet. Bye. Bye. Bye. There you go. Okay, here we go. We got Steve Wise for the Alberta Whitetail Hunt. Let's give him a call, see if he'll answer.
Where is he spelling? I'm going to give him a call. We probably should have tried him on Pollock's cell. He's going to need that number. Yeah, you guys can do that. Hello. Hello, is this Steve? Yes, it is. Hey, Steve, this is Josh Pollock with Epic Outdoors as well as the entire crew. How are you? Good. Wait, who are you with? Josh Pollock with Epic Outdoors here in southern Utah. Jason Carter, Adam Bronson, the crew, Epic Outdoors. Wow. Why are you calling me? Why do you think? Are you freaking kidding me? Did I win something? Do you like snow? Do you like being cold?
Do you like sitting in a blind for whitetails for 10 hours a day? No. Are you guys kidding me? No.
We picked your name out of a big bin today, so you're going to go to hunt with me up there in Alberta this year, hunting whitetails in November. In Alberta? Yeah. Alberta whitetails. You are kidding me. Are you? You and Josh are going to be blind buddies out there. You and Josh are going to be blind buddies out there. Hold on, guys. Let's make sure we got the right guy right here. Yeah, we got the right guy. No, no, no. We got the right guy. Wow. This is amazing. What so?
It's going to be November. November 11th to 19th. You and Josh will meet and become blind buddies for 10 days. No kidding. It's going to be awesome. That is crazy. I went on this hunt last year. It was awesome. These guys are no joke. Best of the best. Big deer. Yeah. Wow. Very serious. That's awesome. Yep. Wow. I'm stoked. This is crazy. It's fun. Great lodge. Great accommodation. It's just a lot of fun. You know, you get a lot of, you know, not a lot of daylight up there. So there's a lot of lodge time and it's just a good group of guys and good food. Great accommodation. It's just a lot of fun. I've, I've, I've watched a few videos and is it the same type of thing you got? You have to wear the, the white suit and all that stuff. Yeah. Not white on this one. This one, you do have a heater body suit and Jim, you remember Jim in the heater body suit doing those ads? Yeah.
Like, and that's no joke. That heater body suit saved me. Yeah. These are, it's, it's Alberta. So it's, it's not a baited hunt. You just, you're, you're in a blind. They're putting you in a spot where you're going to be hunting bucks on. During the rut. Peak of the rut. Yep. Peak of the rut and bucks cruising, looking for does and hunting rub lines and in the trees. And it's pretty awesome. The year before, the year before Josh and I didn't have a heater body suit. We froze. Yeah, we did. Close your butt off. But you'll get a gear list and the whole thing. Yeah, we'll send you an email in the next couple of days. We'll introduce you at the outfitter. And like I said, Josh here, he's going on the same hunt. He's, he's booked a hunt to go there. And we, we bought these, we bought two of them to give one away to go with one of us. And this is Josh going. Anyway. Yeah. Just kind of keep that.
This is crazy. I saw, I saw the Utah area code and I'm like, well, this could be a buddy of mine, you know? And I was like, I'm like, I have to answer this call just in case. Yeah. This is nuts. No, it's better. It's better than your friends. None of your friends have ever given me a hunt, boss.
I'm, I'm ecstatic to, um, to have won this hunt. That's awesome. So will you guys, will you guys like, okay, no, I, I appreciate I'm, I have, this is the first hunt I've ever won. I'm 53. So I'm ecstatic. And so this is one of those things where it's like, you're sitting at the computer and you're like, should I really spend the money to buy these tickets? Yes, you should. You know what? There you go. I mean, I probably, this would probably be the only place you'd spend money on tickets right here. Epic outdoor. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you know what? It's, I will tell you, it's a good thing you guys put out a lot of emails because I do, I always open the email and it's always like, oh man, these, and you guys put out a bunch of hunts. That's another thing that's crazy is you have access to a lot of fantastic hunts. Yeah. Yeah. Best of the best. I really appreciate it.
We put stuff out there that we'd want to go on ourself, you know? Yeah. So our members, our members are a lot like us. So, all right. Okay. We'll be in touch. So are you going to send me an email or something? We will. We'll send one out in the morning. Yep. Wow. You guys are awesome. I, I, I, I thank you so much. This is very special for me. Sounds good. All right. All right. Okay. Take care guys. Thank you. We appreciate the support. Yeah. No worries. Thanks guys. All right. Take care. All right. Bye. What are we doing? We got these two. Let's do it. Let's do Sean Caffrey. And he's got the Nevada deer. Who else? Who needs to do it? 2026. What about Wyatt? Wyatt. You're up. Greggy. Here we go. Sean. Okay. Okay.
Where's he, bro?
Yeah, come on.
Good afternoon. This is Sean. Hey, Sean. It's Wyatt. The Peppic Outdoors. How are you? Wyatt. How are you? Good. You probably listened to a little bit of our voicemail. Yeah. And I still don't believe it.
What did we say? Nevermind. It didn't happen. We called about it. It was a mistake. It was a mistake. I wasn't surprised, but not from you guys. You guys are solid. Well, we appreciate that. We're not spammers. We appreciate it. We did robocall you there for a minute, but anyway. So, have you ever hunted mule deer in Nevada? Never have. Well, you want to hunt there for this next year. 2026. Yes. 2026. 2026. Nevada mule deer hunt. With a mogel and rim outfitter, Greg Krogh. Phenomenal outfitter. Kills some of the best bucks to come out of Nevada every year. And it is your choice of season. So, you get 231 and your choice. Includes a landowner tag. So, yeah. Tag alone. I'm extremely expensive. I can't talk to you. Yeah, absolutely. I'm with a guy. His first day at work here. He's riding with me. And I told him I denied the call because we're running around seeing customers.
And I'm like, I've never won anything in my life. And I said, I'm going to call these guys. Are you training? Is this a new employee that you're training? He's new, but he doesn't need training. Well, you've got to tell him it's okay for you to answer your personal calls, but not him. When he's on the clock, he doesn't answer his phone. You know what I mean? That's exactly right.
But you're fine. You're fine. So, anyway. I really appreciate it. I'm super stoked. Can't wait. Pretty awesome. We'll send you an email with all the details probably in the morning. But it is for 2026. So, it's for next year. You'll kind of plan around that. It'll be a big deal. It's a big deal. Yeah, it's a big deal. Oh, absolutely a big deal. Drawing a tag. You can't command a tag with even 25 points, you know, to draw a tag like that. It's crazy. It's tough, tough. Right. Absolutely. Well, guys, I really appreciate it. I can't wait to tell my family about it. Yeah. Well, that's great. Congratulations. Yeah. Thank you very much. Okay. We'll be in touch. Okay. Thank you guys very much. You bet. Bye. See you. Okay. Bye.
Okay. Let's do the desert sheet. So, this is Jeff Knapp. Okay. Huh? Jeff Knapp. Knapp. Yeah.
Hello. This is Jeff Knapp. Hey, Jeff. Adam Bronson, Jason Carter, and the Epic Outdoors crew here. How are you doing today? Well, good. How are you guys? Good. You probably have an idea why we're going here. He's laughing already. He probably got an idea. I'm sitting at the airport now. Where do I need to go? Well, hold on. So, he put tickets in a variety of hunts. Probably. I don't know. You probably did. You are the winner of one of the hunts at our 2025 summer membership drive. And I don't know. Do you remember? Did you put them all in one bin or did you spread them out? No. I had tickets and everything. You did. Okay. Yeah. Well, if you had a preference, have you ever hunted sheep before? If I ever had a what? Sheep? Have you ever hunted sheep before? Just one time. I got a doll about three years ago. Well, how does the desert sheep in Mexico sound for you? That sounds pretty cool.
Well, I'm going to. I was really hoping for the gear package.
Yeah. Well, that's what you got drawn for February of 2026 with Rancho Noche Buena. Roberto Noriega. I'm actually going to go with you on the hunt. You might have read about that. So, I'm excited. I've been down to the ranch before. It's awesome. A lot of sheep. Great accommodations. You guys need to come pinch me. Well, somebody else can have to do that. Josh. I'm good for it.
Yeah. Well, you're doing something right because, yeah, you're the winner. Congratulations. Pretty awesome. Pretty awesome. That's awesome. Thank you guys. When we verified your phone number, we looked up. You were one of the very first members we had back in September of 2016, like member 131. So, you've been with us the full time. We appreciate it. I've got to say, yeah, when you guys, when that whole thing happened, I think I signed up when I first seen your thing and you were coming. Yeah. Well, we appreciate the support. This is fitting. Yeah, it is. It's awesome. Yeah, it's great. Very cool. Congratulations. So, we'll be in touch with you in the next couple of days. The dates are a little bit flexible. Probably be the mid-latter part of February. But just kind of keep that in mind now. And then between myself and you and Roberto, we'll get on a phone call. We'll put you together.
And we'll get the dates hammered out. We've got some time for that. But just kind of block off the latter half of February next winter. Going to Mexico. February 26th is when it is. That's right. Okay. Okay. Perfect. I sure appreciate it. Yeah, you bet. Congrats again. Yep. Thank you very much. All right. You betcha. Bye. Bye.
Oh, is that it? That's it. That's it. That's it. That's what I mean. That's it. That's it. That's pretty good. We got the gun guy. Do we want to call him? Oh, yeah. The what? Yeah. The guy that won the Reaper. I think I'll just text him. Oh, yeah. Let's call him. Let's call him. All right. Why not? The weekly giveaway. Yeah, the weekly giveaway. You want a gun. Epic, this is Devin. Devin, this is Dean Wang in Montana returning your call. Yeah, how's it going, Dean? Well, it's going much better after your call, I think. You got my voicemail then. Yeah. Good. Well, you're calling us back. We were out doing a podcast and calling some winners. And you won a rifle. So, we figured we'd call you while we're at it. What a deal. Well, thank you for the call. You guys will get a kick out of this. I am probably the least likely feller.
I looked up the Mountain Reaper, Fierce Mountain Reaper, didn't even know what it was because I am an old 700 BDL bowling pin finish guy. Nice. Pretty piece of wood. And that's what trips my trigger. This is the opposite of that. I hear you, Dean. I thought you were going to say you were a felon. So, we're doing better. Yeah, I may be now after this.
So, my kids all grew up shooting. You know, the first rifles they shot were the old Remington 660 222s with the dogleg bolts and those types of things. And they've always shot stuff with the pretty pieces of wood on them. But most of them have converted to what I call the plastic guns. There's one of them that still shoots a Remington 700 BDL and a 300 wind magnets are really pretty gun. But most of them shoot the plastic. Yeah, I'm with you, Dean. There's nothing better than a nice piece of Turkish walnut, is it? Those warp, don't they, if they get too much weather? It is Turkish. Oh, is it? Hey, Dean, to make it feel better, though, I actually just bought one of these guns and they're actually made to look like distressed wood. So, the Cerakote on it looks like a distressed wood. They're just trying to fake their way to what you'd like.
However, Dean, if you would, yeah, they don't make any wood stocks at Fierce, but they do make some carbon. They do make normal bolt guns. If you wanted to get one of those, we don't made, you know, you don't have to take a. . . We could take similar value and get you a normal bolt gun. Oh, I don't care. Okay. Well, just be thinking about that. We're not going to force you. It's not like we have the exact gun. You were going to tell us the caliber you want anyway, and we're going to have it built for you. So, you might as well just start. This one folds it half. Sure. Well, as long as all you guys are in a group there. So, again, we're not caliber guys. I'm the only person in the history of the world that's never owned a .223 or a 6.5 Creedmoor. I grew up shooting a .222, and then, you know, I still have an old .25-06.
The kids, when the kids first started shooting years ago, the 6.5-284 was pretty popular, and we wore out some, they were the Savage Max 110 Predator Camo with the AccuTrigger, and so they all got one of those. The guy that helped us shoot our bows, he was a, or he is a long-distance shooter, and he was a 6.5-284 fan. Oh, yeah. That was it. So, he helped us. So, we got started with that instead of what turns out to be what should have been the Creedmoor. So, we've always shot just .222 50s, .243s, .300 Win Mag. The kids are good hunters. We've killed lots of stuff. I won a PRC, a 6.5 PRC custom-made at the Sheridan-Wyoman Rodeo Club banquet a couple of years ago, and I have to admit that that PRC is oodles of fun. It really shoots. They're just a souped-up 6.5-284. They're awesome. They've caught fire. Yeah. So, that said, knowing what we have and don't have out of these calibers,
should we pick another 6.5 PRC? Should we try a Creedmoor? You know, none of us own a 6.5 Creedmoor, which is embarrassing. We get made fun of at party. I would go PRC. Usually, people that have the Creedmoor get made fun of. Yeah. The PRC guys make fun of Creedmoor guys now. Oh, I see. Okay. Creedmoor came out first. Creedmoor came out and was exciting for a minute, but now it's been blown away. PRC's its older brother, and then they just tease the little brother now. I see. That's what happens. So, we'd go with a 7 PRC or a 6.5 PRC. You could do a 7 PRC, a little bigger bullet on it. You've got a heavier-grained-weighted bullet. If you hunt elk more than deer and antelope or whatever, but if you hunt deer and antelope as much as anything, I think a 6.5 PRC is really hard to beat. It is. Hard to beat. Yeah. And we have the 300s that we carry around to shoot the elk with.
Hmm. Interesting. Be thinking about it. You don't have to decide today, but we'll be in touch with you. Probably Devin, but, you know, we can give you a couple options, too. If you don't want the, you know, the Mountain Reaper, the fold-up, lightweight, you know, more mountain rifle in what a traditional, you know, bolt-action, you know, carbon-barreled, fierce, we can go that route, too. We'll make it work. Okay. Yeah, I'll visit with the kids and see what their thoughts are. We've never really had a, I mean, we don't even own anything on an AR platform as embarrassing as that is. So you guys, on your rifles, do you use scopes or open sights on them? Yeah, no, scopes and suppressors and brakes. And we're relatively tech-savvy. He's modern in some regards. So, Dean, when you're talking to your kids about the caliber, ask them barrel length, too, if it's going to be suppressed. Yeah. Yeah.
Suppressors add a length. So I would think probably, yeah, 20 or 22. Again, depending on all your collective advice, do we lose velocity by a shorter barrel, those types of things. We don't want to. Yeah, a little bit. Just a little, but not enough to worry this day and age. But suppressor, you've got to make up for it. You can't put it on 24, 26. It makes it really long. Yeah. Okay. Oh, this is exciting. They'll be pleased. I'm kind of to the point. I'm just a sherpa. I don't get to shoot much anymore, but I'm tickled to tag along. Yeah. Mostly deer and elk and antelope. Oh, I drew a moose tag in Montana finally after 100 years of applying. And, of course, just used a 300. A moose in Montana? Wow. This year? This year? Adam's got max points. Been trying forever. Yeah. Yeah. As you guys know, Montana is the worst in the western U.S. And so I've been applying. I'm 58.
I've been applying since I was 15 and just finally drew one. Wow. Never have drawn a goat tag or a shoot tag. Montana is just awful. As you guys know, you're in the business. But, yeah, I drew a tag and stumbled into one over between Dillon and Wisdom in the Grasshopper Valley there. Got to take my son and son-in-law. As you know, moose hunting isn't terribly difficult. It's just a matter of finding one. Until they hit the ground, then it gets a little more difficult. Oh, my goodness. Yeah, had I known, we'd have just turned the tag back.
I'm right there with you. Oh, boy. It is. Good eating, moose. The meat's good. Oh. Once you start eating, then you're glad you packed it out. Yeah. Yeah. And the people that hit us up as soon as we knew that, or they knew that we had one, hey, if you want rid of any roasts or any burger or just all kinds of requests about the people that moose is very popular, very surprising. It is. And it is. It's good. It's very good. Yep. Yeah. Dark red. All right. Okay. Are we good? Yeah. We're going to get with you. Think on those things. Of course, Devin will be the one ordering it for you. Okay. All right. Sounds good. Well, thanks, guys. Certainly appreciate what you guys do. You bet. Thanks for everything. Appreciate the support. Yep. All right. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. Bye. All right, everybody. That kind of finishes off this summer membership drive. Pretty awesome. Oh, it's fun.
Good group of guys. It was fun. Those are always fun calls to make. Yeah. Man. Pretty awesome. Some of these guys have been with us since inception. Just awesome. We sure appreciate everybody's support out there. Thanks for participating. And congratulations to the winners. We'll be posting those up here shortly. Probably when you're listening to this. They're already going to be posted. Right, Logan? Yes, sir. All right. So, anyway, there's a few other opportunities out there, Bronson. I mean, you've got second draws, turn back tags. You were telling me even about Idaho. Idaho's got their list. Yeah. Well, by the time they hear this, it'll be over. But they do sell those once every, what, month or six weeks. They have the turn back tag sale. Yep. Colorado will be starting that in early August. You know, their weekly sale of their return tags.
But other than that, I mean, it's this Arizona came out, and then this membership drive of ours pretty much finishes up a lot of the big draws, with a couple exceptions. You know, I guess we're dealing with, yeah, what are we down to, Jason? Nevada Dream Tags. Yeah, the Nevada Dream Tags are due by June 30th. That's right. So, you can participate in the Nevada Dream Tags. It's kind of like a, I look at it as a glorified landowner tag. It's a landowner tag, like say you were to get the deer, landowner tag, it's basically like a PIW tag. Good for any open season. Any unit in the state, you've got to hunt with a bow when archery season's open, muzzleloader when muzzleloader's open, rifle when rifle's open. Of course, on the sheep and things like that, there are units that have different opening dates,
as there are with deer and elk and antelope and whatnot, but you just have to adhere to the regulations, but you get to hunt pretty much statewide on everything. Sheep, they may have some slight limitations on those based on harvest and things like that from previous years or this year, but overall, they're just exactly what their name implies. They're a Dream Tag. You get to go and do, and if you have an open schedule, or if you don't even, you've got so much time to hunt, good grief. You've got, you know, if you've got a busy schedule, you still can fit this in. Yeah, anybody that gets one of these tags is going to be able to fit them in. So it's $5 for each ticket, and then the application fee will be $0.75, so it's $5.75, and you can load up, you know, you should at least have one ticket in the bin. I always have more than one, maybe more than I want to admit to Jana,
but anyway, you can go to nvdreamtag.org, so www.nvdreamtag.org. You can go on there, and you can get into the, let's call it a drawing. It's a state-funded drawing, you know. What I like about supporting some of these states is Nevada manages wildlife the way we like to see it. They're very conservative. They love, like, let's talk about bucks and mule deer, but high buck-to-doe ratios, and they like people to have a quality product. When they have a tag in their hand, they've got something. Yeah, pretty much everything. Every species is that way. So when you, yeah, so if you don't draw, just applying and funding that state makes more sense to me than some other states. You know what I mean? I just, I'm kind of partial to Nevada a little bit, of course. I think we all are right here close to Nevada. But anyway, wide variety of species available, from sheep to deer to antelope.
You have to scroll down. Both sheep, right? Yeah, we've got sheep, desert sheep right here, elk, mule deer, antelope. And then you can go and add them to your cart at the nvdreamtag.org. Add as many as you want and check out, and off you go. So pretty awesome. Again, you know, another opportunity to grab a desert sheep tag. I mean, those are rare, right? Yeah, just gave one of them away earlier this evening. And, you know, there's another one up for grab for somebody else. And an elk tag, I mean, could you imagine? What are some of those Nevada landowner uptacks going for? $50,000, $60,000, why? For tag only. Yeah, $50,000 to $60,000, yeah, just for the tag alone. And that, you have to choose a season. Yeah, you have to choose a season. This one you can go any open season. You can fail during the archery, go muzzle, go rifle on these, and multiple unit hop. Yes.
It's like, so it's, we're three times that. Yeah, you can go to 111 one day and 220 is the next day if that season's open. 13, 231. Pretty awesome. Even their mule deer tags have a $40,000 to $50,000 upper end tag tags to all the way. Yeah, the upper end mule deer tags are 50 plus K. Many of them, multiples are well over $30,000 for a tag. And so, for a landowner tag. It kind of bypasses the draw system. And that's what we're talking about here. Anyway, so basically it's kind of like a PIW tag again on mule deer, any open season. And, I mean, that could cause a guy some marital problems. I mean, we're talking August 10th through December. Well, that's what I was going to say. Were you? Yeah. August 10th to December, roughly 31st. So, Devin, let's just say you had an open tag for a PIW deer tag, and it was December 1. Like, what are you thinking about? Where are you going to be going?
If I hadn't killed by December? Not many options. Yes. 081, come on. Then, well, it'd have to be that one and maybe the 190. Yeah, 194, 196. That's only your two options or 115. Yeah, 115 on the rifle. Oh, yeah. I checked that out. Devin, let me check. I'll be ping-ponging all around the state. Like you had the last three months. You and your tire plugs. Yeah, you'd need a few probably. That little blue Pioneer.
Right? I don't know, maybe. I don't know what you're talking about. Anyway, pretty awesome.
Wyatt, where would you, let's just say you drew the mule deer PIW tag. Where are you headed? Jeez. You know, probably start early in some of these desert units here and hopefully get it done. If not. 241 archery. Yeah. Start off with the archery seasons here, maybe closer to Cedar right here on the border. And then you'd have to work your way north as the season's got later probably. You know, the one thing I think about some of these tags is that November 1st to the 5th. Some of these units go until the 1st to the 5th. I call it the 1st to the 5th. Just that last five days. It's legit. With a gun rifle in your hand. Yeah. But we're so trained now. We're conditioned with trail cameras and things like that to get it done early. Well, go play and belly crawl with the Mojave greens and stuff like that. Okay. You know, it's what we've done before. Jeez. All right.
So, now we asked Jason with the antelope tag. You've got the antelope perfect dream tag. Where are you headed? I've seen some big bucks I have not shared with Cash because I'm afraid.
I'll never get any work done. He's going to want every photo I got. For the tag I don't have. I sent him a couple of my janky bucks. I know. Is this a good one? No. I cannot believe the antelope in Nevada right now. I'm just telling you, it's no joke. It's no joke. I normally don't buy antelope tickets over there. I usually do deer elk. You should. Really? Yeah. Yeah. You should. I'm looking for mule deer and I'm looking for the wrong species. You're seeing big antelope. Oh, multiples. Okay. It is no joke. I'll have to drop a few in there. This one right here, that's chicken feed compared to what I'm doing. Come on. That's a good one. What about this buck, though? They got posted here. That's a no joke. Big old buck. Three-point frame on that far side. You can see right here, there's a split on that. Big old beam. But I got a shed just like that. It doubled up 215 out of 242. Jeez.
All right. Well, anyway, and Wyatt, you've hunted elk. Devin, Adam, I've done it. We've hunted some giant bulls over there. Yeah, the September archery season would be pretty amazing to just unit hop the two or three units. I don't know if you'd even unit hop. You'd probably get one or two bulls that were in your sights and wouldn't leave because they're all next to each other. It would be hard to know. I mean, you've got some decisions. That's a hard one. When you sit at camp and say, where are we going in the morning? That's a legit question. The problem I have, you can only do so much when you're a one-man band. Like, you can only do so much. You can only be at one place, one time. Yeah. That's a problem. Anyway, desert sheep, pretty awesome. There's some, I know, we know it's had its challenges with the drought and whatnot, but there's no joke some great rams. There always is.
There's always a few surprise rams that show up and, you know, not always the famed or most popular units sometimes as well. So, yeah, give me that tag. I'd do something good with it, I'm sure. Figure it out. Just have a fun trying. They do have a little $10 resource enhancement stamp. It's just a feel-good thing. I mean, they say it on here. You're no longer required to buy it, but if you choose, all the proceeds will go to Endow, Nevada Department of Wildlife. And they could use it, and they're good dudes. So, anyway, great department, doing good things, doing the best they can with the resource they have. Great trophy quality, considering the quantity and the arid environment. So, anyway, we're a fan. Nevada Dream Tags, NVDreamTag.org. Go get in. What do you got, basically, Bronson? We're talking five days. Yeah, five days. Pretty much it. Yep.
By the time you hear this, you better jump online and get it. NVDreamTag.org. And buy some tickets at the cart. Check out. Because it's not going to have much time. I'm adding the cart here, John. Out of zero or two behind those. You on Logan's account? I don't know if I'm logged in, but my card's saved on here. You see a stupid over there? How do I go to my... You're making Logan sweat. Finish checking out. Finish checking out. Right here. 100 tickets for each species? I can go back and buy more after this, right? Antelope. Oh, yeah. Okay. Okay. Let's do four antelope. Do a believable number. Let's do five on the deer, four antelope. What do you think on the elk? Do 10. I mean, geez. It's only 50 more bucks. Whose money are we spending right now? Logan's. Logan's, yeah. Do you even want a desert sheep, Logan? Uh, no. John doesn't. How old are you? You don't bring... You don't qualify.
You don't beat the threshold. Zero on the desert sheep and put it up on the antelope for me. Logan's not 25 yet, so he doesn't qualify under John's circumstances. No, it's 30. You're not 30 either. Oh, John. No. Type in Logie Bear. Can't do that. God, I'm 25. Actually, I can move it up. 25 is when your brain's mature. Yeah, I can move it up to 50 now. You can't be a Gen Z. Cash, I'm arguably more mature than you. You know what? I would like you guys to go tell Jenna that you think my brain's mature. Let's see what she says. I'll say it. I'll ask her. I'll say Jenna. No, I don't know that it's mature. It's just fully developed. That's as good as it gets. That's true. I like the word mature better. I like the distinct. The distinction. It's more believable. His brain is fully mature. Fully developed. Excuse me. Fully developed. It's just not mature. Not mature. All right.
But anyway, anybody that's interested, doesn't have something going, or could fit something in, definitely go support Nevada. Nevada Department of Wildlife, NVDreamTag.org. Get a few names in the hat. You can't win unless you're in. I like it. How about that? I like it. All right, boys. Let's call it a day. Let's face it.
