Hey everybody, Jason Carter, Adam Bronson, John Peterson, Logan. How are you, Logan? I'm doing good. John, how are you? I'm doing great. We good? Great. Heck yeah, we're good. Why are we good? Because all of these deadlines are coming fast. And all the state magazines are done at the printer, John, or in the mail. And that dimension of our life is on pause for a couple months. Oh, it's so nice. Each and every, I think, after these heavy magazines, I think, how many more years do we have of the heavy season, right? So most people look forward to the red leaves in the fall or the snowfall or whatever, spring. And I look forward to it. May 1st. I'm like, crappy part of the year starts December and it ends May. And then May we have life again. Yep. Right? So May's our spring and fall combined. I don't know. Anyway, kind of fun.

Anyway, so I don't know how many more years we're going to be able to do this, Bronson. We're as good once as we ever once. I like it. We're going to be those old guys that they cannot get to leave the office. Well, Logan, good luck getting rid of us. That's like the worst thing I've heard all day. That's right. We're going to be like a Tar Heel. Move us if you can. That's awesome. All right. So anyway, here we are. So some of the exciting stuff, of course, Bronson. We've got some deadlines. We've got the Wyoming sheep, goat, moose, bison, April 30, right? That's tomorrow. Idaho sheep, goat, moose, April 30. Tomorrow. Montana sheep, goat, moose, bison, May 1st. Yeah, this is a week for those. If you're dreamers for the once-a-lifetime species in those three states, it's time. Might be worth mentioning.

A lot of people probably know this by now, but in Wyoming, they are going to have a random sheep tag in Unit 5. That's the only one. And for moose, they're going to give one random tag in 26 and 1 in 25. Nothing in 28 like there has been. 38, you mean. 38. Yep. So 26, 25 and 5 for sheep. That's it. And of course, there's other non-resident tags for the high point holders. Go look in the publication. EMAG. If you don't got 25 plus, though, don't waste your time. And for those beta testers, you could go on the app and look. Whoa, bigger. Whoa. Whoa.

Whoa. We already did that? Logan, are you? Was that my cue to take the reins? No. I'm just seeing how that feels for a second. This is what happens when May 1st hits and we got other things to talk about. We say and do what we want, and we want to talk about it. I'm good. Are we going to do it now? Maybe sweat a little. Are we going to talk about the silver state or what we're going to do? I guess since you brought it up. We should talk about the silver state, but let's leave that. Let's leave the best for last. I'm just teasing. Silver is not the best. That's second best, but whatever. It's kind of high, but a little bit low considering the high. That's right. Where's the gold state? Gold, it's kind of high, but it's really high, but low considering it was at the high. All right. So, anyway, if anybody wants to invest in gold, go do it. Silver, too. All right. So, moving on.

We're coming out with an app. Okay. So, Epic's going to have an app, and it's going to have everything on there. And I didn't realize how cool an app would be because I'm thinking from old school, Bronson, when we go log into the website, that's good enough, and that's pretty cool. W-W-W. Yeah. Right? And so, it turns out. Logan, don't shake your head at me. Come on. Turns out people that's Logan's age are like, you have a PC. What are you still doing with a PC? How are you going to walk around with a PC everywhere? I do it. We're blowing right past you. I have a little black bag. Have you ever seen it?

It's called the briefcase. It never leaves my side. A pager clipped to your belt? Come on. That was in 1993 and four. Pager? I can't even believe you know how to spell pager. Not without an AI spell check. I never had a pager, Bronson. Did you? 93, 94. You did have one? Oh, my heck. Yeah. I like it. No, I never had a pager. I never had one. Yeah. I wasn't a doctor. Well, I was not a doctor, but I was. But you were pageable. I was pageable. Yeah. Well, this app is pretty cool. We're going to start off in course. Bronson, you and I are excited about it, but we didn't really build it. We obviously critique it because we critique about everything that gets in front of our face. I'm good at that. John and Logan and Kurt really cranked through this and did a great job. Logan, thank you so much. John, awesome work. You guys both, great team. Yeah.

It's not something we whipped up in the last few weeks. It's been. In the making. Months and months in the making. And we're approaching some, I guess, periods, Logan. I'm going to turn the time over to you in a minute. But we're going to let a few eyeballs look at this. Yeah. A little bit. So this thing's gone. I don't want you to talk yet, Logan. Okay. Adam and I are going to keep talking. I just tried to make a segue and Jason just kicked me back. Yeah. We're keeping it here, Bronson. Keep it real. Let's do it. So when you go to the home screen right off the bat, you've got upcoming deadlines. Of course, you can view that. Great. It'll go through everything. It'll be awesome. This also has notifications. You get texts from us on deadlines. On that, too. It has the links directly to the state websites. Yeah. It's kind of cool. Okay. So cool stuff.

I mean, you're like, okay, well, that's cool. But, like, what else do you really got? Yeah. And so, anyway, we've got all the deadlines. The minimum points query, which is no joke. Yeah. Same odds that are on our www. Yeah. Right, Logan? The old school website matches up. But it's actually better. There's interactive maps that are just easier to use. Yeah. We've done some mapping so you can see where you're going. Research by mapping on the minimum points instead. You can touch it. Go look. Minimum points tracker. You can plug in all your own information. And your families as well. And your families. Then we have guided hunts. A whole outline of that, right? To be able to book a hunt, possibly. Just more information when you're not in business hours or not dealing with this on email. Things like that. License application stuff. Optics store. Saved hunts. Trophies of the day.

I mean, all kinds of stuff. And it is, like, it is really no joke. And so, nobody better than you guys who built it to really auger through some of this. And, of course, we've got the big screen up. Maybe, John and Logan, you guys kind of walk us through some of that. And then maybe we also, all of us will chime in on the thoughts behind why it looks like it does. Because we make changes daily on this. Yeah. And updates. Of what we would want to see personally. Yeah. This will have the e-mags on there. It also is going to have units, comments, all of these kinds of things. It's a no joke app. State of the art. Yeah. We wanted, I mean, we want to be the best of the best. Because, you know, we have the best data, the best information out there. And we wanted to present that to everybody so that they can be the most informed. And you covered all the tools pretty well. One thing that.

Logan, I find it interesting that you've got your notifications off because we were talking about it. So, we can't see any things that come through. In the past, I've had notifications come through that I didn't want people to see it. So, when I'm hearing to the big screen. What are you worried about, Logan? What a breakup once. It's like I've had a breakup once. One time somebody knew about a breakup before I did. Are you not so proud of some of the things that may or may not come through on your screen? I'm fine now. It's just force of habit. PTSD. When it happens once. When I get dumped, I want to be the first to know. Yeah. When you hand your phone to a buddy and say, hey, tell me what this says. And I said, it looks good, but you got some problems. It says you're going to have a bad day is what it says.

You're going to have a bad day and probably ought to just not look at it for a minute. It's going to get better. Oh. All right. So, anyway. Logan's screen sharing. One of the features I think we spent the most time on was the minimum points query. Because when you're getting to the application season of a state and you want to know where your points can take you, either in the future or this year, it's probably one of the most important features. So, what we did was build in our standard minimum points query like we have on our website. But when you do a Colorado deer query, you'll have all the quick information. You'll know how many points it took to guarantee a draw. Your percentage of odds with the next point tier that gave you a chance at a draw with the preference point system. And then you can also tap on the map right above the list of units that comes up.

And you can search visually that way. If you like to stay more in western Colorado, you have a part of the state you're interested in. Everything that comes up on the map is something that falls within your minimum points search. And when you tap on a unit, it gives you the cluster of units that falls underneath those hunt codes. And you can go right to research that way. And the filter options are amazing. You can filter in or out anything you want. Weapon, land type, season, anything. Well, there were some of these things that we use all this stuff ourselves. And so, when we went on, I was like, well, with Utah, when we did a minimum point query for elk, it would bring up all of the any weapon seasons. Well, there's late. There's mid. There was early on elk. And so, then I was like, no. We have guys that want to know. Just give me my September rifle options.

So, it caused us to adjust this app a bit and then also adjust the web and make everything a little bit better because this is feeding off the web. Right? Exactly. And it's so fast. It's just like at your fingertips. Boom, boom, boom. So, Logan, talk about what you're doing right now. Like, you're doing a zero to three point Colorado deer query. Yep. I did a zero to three points Colorado deer non-resident. I only want public land hunts. I only want rifle hunts. And I want to hunt the third season. So, initially, it popped up with 488 hunts that I could go on. After filtering down, I'm down to 41. And I can see that most of them are in the central western part of the state. And then, instead of scrolling through 48, 41 hunts on the list, you can tap right here. Like, let's say, you know, oh, I want to go around the Gunnison Basin. I want to hunt equal.

You can click on there and you can see what units are around those. Yeah. I can hit 35. It's popping up within my query. I can see that I could go 35 third for those points. See what kind of points it takes and the information we have on that unit. Yeah. Yep. And you can click in, view the map. It's got the boundaries on it. You can really explore, okay, what's in this unit, what's not in the unit. And one thing it used to not tell you on our website and just by the hunt code was what cluster, what units were clustered with the hunt that you were going on or looking at. So now you can see the entire cluster. You can see this hunt. Graphically. Topographically. 35, 36, 36, 36, 1. On the map. Yeah. Where 35, 36, 36, 1, 45 all is. And it's just cool, right? It's integrating a little bit of everything. And then what I'd like too is Adam and I use this for consulting really heavy.

And so we would always like, if a guy says I have eight points, we would do a query from six to nine because what it did was 100% draw with a certain amount or a percentage with a certain amount. And we wanted to know exactly what we were looking at. So 100% with two, 17% with one, and then we're better able to help a guy because last year he had one less point than he did this year, right? And so we're looking through that trying to decipher. If you had one last year, you were at 17%. Well, yeah, but I have two now. Okay, but you know what I mean? So does the rest of the guys that didn't draw the other 83%. Right? And so anyway. No, that's a good point. You can see the trend. You can see where you sit even looking at last year's data, more what you're going to be looking at for this year.

The next thing, as you're researching, doing minimum points query, looking at specific units, you can hit this little star in the top right of the unit. This is one of my favorite features because this is something that I usually have to go click on one unit that you're looking at, go back, click on the next. Then you've got to go back and look at that first one again. Ring around the road. Yes, you're just doing a whole bunch of stuff. So now when I'm researching for my Colorado deer application, I've saved five hunts, and now they're just all sitting underneath my saved hunts tab. So if you're on the job and your boss is coming, then you can click out of this app real quick, you know, all gone. But then when he leaves, you can pull it back up and you're right back into your saves. Exactly. We don't have that problem here. No. Our job is to look at this stuff.

But, yeah, now you know you can continue looking at the hunts that you were looking at, and you can compare them and decide what one is right for you this year or what one you can get in a few years. I really like that one because you can't. It's really – I think it's really cool because, like, Adam, like you and I are, like, some mornings we're just on a tangent. And all of a sudden we're thinking about something, even, like, a couple years down the road when season adjusts or things like that. But we might star some things because I forget. I actually have, like, a Google Doc for myself, and I put in units and information that I'm thinking about for the kids down the road even or myself or whatever, point boosters, like friends that are wanting to do some things or whatever. Yeah. Right? Even hunts that we've booked in advance might be Canada Whitetail or it might be whatever.

And I'm like, okay, so it just reminds me, oh, yeah, I've got that. Oh, yeah, I've got that. But you can load all this kind of personal information into the app if you want. Yeah. Yeah. Between the saved hunts and underneath the hunt tracker, you can take notes. You can put notes on specific units or underneath your – So talk about that a little bit. Yeah. Notes on a specific unit. So, yeah. So within your saved hunts, when you star a hunt and go back to all your bookmarks, each unit that pops up will have a little note paper icon. And you tap that and you can type in for your kid. I was thinking about this one for me or for my kid. I was talking about to Adam. And Adam says this would be a good hunt in 2027 because muzzleloader dates kicked back a week later or whatever, right? He's going to make a note. Yeah. And then a lot of times you star something and you forget why you start it.

Exactly. Yeah. So for my once-in-a-lifetime in Utah, I've got a note. This is the unit that I want to apply for for my once-in-a-lifetime. I'm not close to drawing it, but it's nice to remember that that's the one I'm looking at and the reason that I put it there. Just taking a lot of what's in the e-mag or the data that's in the magazine, making it personalized, I guess, to allow you to personalize how you interpret it, how you remember it, how you store it, how you make notes about it. Because that's where a lot of the data, all the data is pulling from our drawing odds section and our comments in state sections or in unit write-ups in the magazine and things like that. So it's not like we're turning this over to AI or something to tell us about it. This is our stuff that we input into this. This is our stuff.

This just allows you to add a few more layers of personal touch to it, if you will, and store it, remember it. Not everything, like Jason said, not everything we're thinking about this moment in a month or two months from now I even care about sometimes. But when I want to think about that eight months, ten months from now, I'll go back and remember, oh, what did we talk about last year? There's some times that we're passionate about javelina. No, we're not. Let's pick something believable. Let's call it Cous Deer in New Mexico. Okay, that's believable. And then we're like, man, we're hearing about this or we're hearing about that, but it's not something we really apply for on the regular. But I kind of want to keep that information. Remember it. Yeah, in certain years, you know, certain years maybe, you know, without a point system in New Mexico, you say, yeah, I'll take a champ.

Three Cous Deer hunts this year. I'm not out any points. No, whatever. I always have those kind of like, I'm going to be a big Cous Deer hunter, you know. And then I'm like, no, I like these mule deer. And, oh, I'm already booked for mule deer. Well, one more wouldn't hurt, you know. So I can hardly ever really find myself doing it. But there's times when we, well, especially when we're researching and writing about them, we get wound up over some things. Yeah. I mean, it could be an obscure white tail. Even antelope at times, Jason. In Colorado. We did see a big buck there one year. We need to kill them all, you know. I mean, I don't know. I'm just throwing something out there. Antelope, I don't know. Yeah. Yeah, you do. We killed some. I mean, they're fun to kill. So anyway.

To your point, yeah, when you go to apply to Arizona one year and you're unsuccessful, but you start all those hunts, and then next year it's time to apply again, I think you'll be glad that you had those. It's just a starting place. Hey, I was flirting with these last year based on my points. I didn't quite get it. Maybe double check the odds, what they came out to be later that summer or fall whenever Epic updates them. Oh, it looks like that's outpacing me even further. But no, this one that I didn't apply for stayed roughly in my point range. I might look at that for the next year. Yeah. You know, it just allows you to, you know. So there's a general notes section for like, let's just look right here in your Arizona. Yeah, so this is the points tracker tool also on the home screen.

You can have, for yourself to start off, you track all your points through whatever states you apply for, any species. Which right now I have a Google Doc, right? Yeah. And Adam. I mean, we've talked about this. I mean, tracking all the kids and mom and everybody, it was just. It's a lot. It's been a lot. And Devin, we actually had Devin kind of test this feature out for us before we put it on the app because he's got people he tracks for and applies for. Does he? Yeah. Well, yeah. How could he have more than me and you, Jason? I've got, and I've got like six in there and it's just awesome to be able to. John does have. You can track. Can you just name it? You can track all of their. Put in my dad and start tracking his points. Their CID numbers, all of their passwords, all of their usernames. It's awesome. I haven't seen this. Go back. So here's my points. Points tracker, me.

Here's my points. There's Paul. And then I can add a profile for my dad. And then you add all of his stuff. Yeah. And so then I can go. So I can add Jenna, Ashley, Justin, Sean. And this syncs. So the nice thing is this syncs with our website immediately. So when you're doing your first move everybody over to this new system, your Google sheet moving five people over, go on your computer, copy, paste, copy, paste from Google Docs. It took Devin. On the computer. So this is what you would do on the PC. Then open up my app and boom, there it all is. Everything's there. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So if we go to the website, you'll be able to see. I go to the points tracker on my website. Use the double screen. All that information is right here. The right screen will have my Google Doc. My left screen will have the. Copy, paste, copy, paste. My dad's profile already showed up.

I've got all of mine in here. Check mine out. Yeah. Jeez, John, you've got people I've never even met before. It's just true. So I've got my points, passwords. You've got people in France.

Everybody's stuff there. It's awesome. John, are all those people alive? Are you getting points for dead people? I'm not getting points for dead people. It's too expensive. That's not. That's right. All right. So yeah, I really like the points tracker, especially if you apply. This is really cool. The points tracker is pretty intense, but it's a really good tool.

Really cool. And all this is happening as a member benefit. Yeah. We're doing all this. We've invested this time, money, know how we're getting. We don't cost you anything more. Nope. It's going to be included as a member benefit, just like everything else. So just added value. Want to make your membership stretch further, be more important to you, things like that, and evolve past what, let's just say 50-plus-year-old individuals, you know, maybe would have let it stay. There are some 80-year-olds out there that email, and it's impressive. Yeah. They're no joke. There's some 80-year-olds that listen to this podcast. Yeah, that's right. That's impressive. We love it. I mean, I hope I'm staying up with the times and keeping up with people like Logan when I'm 80. I doubt it. The new little Logans, whoever they are, the ones that are just born. You struggle to keep up with me now. Come on.

I pretend I am. I'm in the game of making you feel good about yourself. Oh, I see. Okay. Trust me. We're fast. Making sacrifices. He's helping you or a farm as best you can. I think this is, for some people, this will replace the magazine. Yeah, all of the information's there. It's like you have a whole year's worth of magazines in your briefcase. You can take notes on pages. You can look up anything you want all at the same time just in your phone. What's this hunt research? You got this hunt research. So hunt research, that's to your point of the magazine's information being on there? It's like the first six or eight pages of every magazine. That's a lot of that stuff. We cover all the new changes to regs in the magazine in a paragraph. Click on something. For example, what I just did was Arizona, Deer. Yeah, so you'll be able to see the epic take on Arizona. That's elk and antelope.

All the things. Sheep, deer, bison. It's all the current. Yep. That's all the current. As soon as we go to print with the EMAG, this stuff will get populated with that state species. So this is a good place to look before you apply and after you get a tag. What are the changes to the regs for 2026? Group applications. Yep. What are my options for turning back? Do we average a rundown? Well, it's right there in the app. What's the point guard plus program? Where did this extra loyalty bonus point come from? How does Arizona work? So that's a good one to look at before and after you get a tag. Now do you have the units on there? Yep. Specific? So we've got all the states we cover. Let me see. What do you want to see? I want to see elk unit one. There you go. Season? Jeez. Archery. Late archery. Jason's interested in that late archery. Oh, no. Huh? I did one. I'm good. Late archery.

September archery. It cured me forever. Yeah. You got your odds. 23 late. Cluster. All right. So there you go. You went and clicked on it. There's the random odds. There's the point levels needed. Non-resident 22. And then you can actually go look at the actual table and it'll give you your random odds at the point level you're at. Right. Correct. I mean, all of which, that's archery, hunt code 3126, September 12th. That was obviously last year because there are odds that deal with last year. We don't have odds for this year necessarily uploaded already. Right. Because it's not time to apply in Arizona again. So that 2026 odds will be relevant for the 2027 app period. And so anyway, but as we get them, we upload them. So you've got that for all states, all species. Yep. All states, all species we cover. Everything. It'll tell you if there is a non-resident allocation available.

That's the nice thing that I like about the app is it can tell you before you get six taps deep, no, there is no allocation for this unit. So there's no point in looking. Things like that. Do you have one? Yeah, let's do a Nevada Desert Bighorn Sheep unit. Yeah. 262. Yeah. All right. There you go. Non-resident. I was going to say 271, but yeah, that works. Non-resident Desert Bighorn Sheep. So you can see, here's a list of all the SKUs in Nevada that have Desert Bighorn Sheep. The highlight is. Oh, that's pretty awesome. And you can see no allocation for non-resident. And then if I went back, selected resident. Everything's lit up. Desert Bighorn Sheep. Yeah. Everything that has an allocation is here. So that just saves you some time, lets you know what your options are before you get too deep into researching it. And another thing. Same with like antelope muzzleloader.

There's only certain, hey, I like them. There's only certain units that are available to non-residents. And there's other units available to residents. Yeah. Is that loaded already? He wants to see the Nevada non-resistant muzzleloader antelope. Logan, let's give him what he wants. Give the man what he wants. So what unit has. Wow. So these units have no allocation available at all. If we go to a unit that has, I don't know if we'll get lucky and find one. But if, okay, right here, no muzzleloader allocation, but there is archery. 032, 034. So it stops you at muzzleloader, but it gives you rifle and archery. Who did all this work? That's me.

That's pretty awesome. That's a pretty good job. In-house. This makes it easy when we want to fix something and change. It happens at about how many? 3.426 seconds. Jason was watching it in real time the other day with the Utah search filters it. Yeah, there were some things we were kind of augering through just because we want it. Bronson, we want things the way we want it. Yeah, we want it to portray a certain way, which is going to lead us to, you know, at some point when we're done talking about all what this has, the, yeah, letting some eyeballs start looking at this and providing us some feedback. This is, let's, all right, so go back to the home. Well, so at the bottom, we got magazine down there. So this is something that's a work in progress, but you will see it if you're a beta tester, you'll see it grow as we get closer to our public launch deadline.

Our magazine covers some pretty good details and even gives unit write-ups for a lot of state and species units. And so we're starting to import those into the app. So, for example, Unit 205, Nevada does a big horn sheep rifle. You've got the write-up that the consultants here at Epic Outdoors did. You've got some more information, like the best ram harvested in 2025. And so this is updated each and every year, so it's like real data. As soon as the e-mag goes live, that year's mag. It's not a write-up from 2017. No? And you'll be able to see, like, under 2024, the data changes. Sure enough. Wow. You've got all the years loaded. Look at 2023. Look at that big ram. It was in 2023. 169. No. 23. 179. Wow. Holy cow. That caught my eye. So, yeah, you'll be able to see the trends as you tap through the years on this. That's the one thing about desert sheep.

They kind of come and go a little bit. They have. But that one's dead. And then there's an actual magazine. Like, if you literally want to open the magazine and look at it, just the e-mag, it's all there, too. Yeah, all of it. You want to see the big, beautiful covers and, you know, whatever else is in there. All the stuff. Stories. Reader soapbox. Stories. You know, different things. And then, of course, you're going to get the paper mag, too. All the same. All is well. Don't freak out. We're not changing that. We're just adding to it. Yep. Kick us back. All right. So, at the bottom, there's four main taps. We've got home, state info, draw odds, and magazine. And then the bulk of it. Scroll up. So, the bulk of it on the main screen, all deadlines, points query, points tracker, guided hunts, license application. I've got to add to this license application. Let's log into that real quick.

So, this is when I'm not. I don't have Epic do my application. So, it just tells you a little bit about the service, what states we cover. Well, there's some clients we don't want. There's some clients we don't want. You guys couldn't handle my abs. I'm an aggressive guy. So, this is really cool because I do have us do our apps. And similar to the points tracker, like, I have every family member in here. Like, if I want to see my wife's and all the apps, you just click at the top. And I can see all my kids at the click of a button. And all their points. What Jen costs you. Yes. You know? So, it would be like, okay, to do Jen's app, it was this. Yep. Which isn't the full thing. Is she actually doing certain things for her and not? Yep. And not for others. Not for others. If I click on Arizona, boom. She has five deer points, seven elk, and seven antelope. Yep.

And that, if you're. Then there's also some receipts. If you're a licensed application client. Then we track your points. There are receipts on this app. Yeah. We track. This is for licensing. I did not know we were doing that. You can learn about our license app service if you're not using it. But if you are, this is a way to, as soon as you get applied in a state, your receipts will be uploaded here and you'll know, okay, I didn't get the email from the state. Some states don't email you. You can go there and look at the receipts, see what they applied me for. This is kind of funny. Or, you know, prompt you to maybe, you know, add something that, hey, I didn't tell those guys initially I wanted to get a bonus point in Kansas or Iowa. Call her out. John's no joke. He's applying Jen for sheep and goat and he has weighted points and all the things. And the notes.

Speak to John before applying. John, are you ever going to let her take control of her own ass?

Yeah. It'll also show you your new status. Oh, here's an interesting one everybody might want to know. Utah. Notes. Resident. Drew. PV. Had a terrible hunt. Lots of orange. No, I don't. It doesn't say that. It doesn't say that. General deer. Elk. Bison. Pretty, really, pretty dang cool. You're on a waiting period for elk, John, for another year. Questions or change, email or call, boom, automatically from the app. Yep. How about that? Right at the bottom. So, yeah, if you're a member of our service, we just wanted to make it better for you. All your information right there at your fingertips. Jeez, this is no joke. And then we want your pictures and stories in our magazine. So straight from the app, straight from your camera roll. You can load from your camera roll right into a submission. And it'll tell you what you've submitted to us in the past. So here's John's submissions.

It goes under the My Trophy section. He's got a mule deer from 2005. Obviously, we were just testing it to make sure everything works. But he's got a 2005 mule deer. His Nevada buck from last year, if he wants to do another one, he could just say. John, you didn't hunt that unit. Go back. Which unit? Colorado mule deer last year? That's 2005. 2005. 2005. 2005. 2005. Oh, I'm thinking 2025. That's 21 years ago. Okay, there was that great big private sign that year on that property. Yes. I mean, a giant. The deer were chewing on the private land sign. Okay. Hand painted with a brush. It was just kind of bad. Okay, because I'm like, you did not hunt that. Somebody's poaching? I'm going to get a poaching reward from it. No, no. Put you in the clink. That was for back in the day. But it's kind of cool. You can have your own little trophy room. Well, that's what I'm doing. All in one place.

You just flip through. You want to show somebody. You just open the app. You can show them all. You know how many times I can't show people my own photos. I have to scroll and scroll and scroll. Oh, yeah, scroll and scroll. No, they're all there for you. Anything that you've submitted, which we hope you submit your best stuff or all your stuff or whatever. Yeah, you can submit it all. Submit it all. Keep track of it in here. It doesn't matter. We love to have everything. Is there a limit to how much data you would store per person? Yeah, so right now we're limited to three photos per submission per person. But you can submit unlimited amounts of times. That's what I'm wondering. But per kill, we can only take in three photos right now. Yeah, and then John or whoever. Just pick the best one maybe that's got the best pose. And that's a little bit different, too.

If you're doing a story, you can do multiple submissions, right? Yeah. Or go back to the end. Or go online if you want to. If you want a story, go online. We'll have more options there, more photos. This is just something if you want to. Some guys write a story in notes or dictate it in notes. Yeah, you could do that. And then upload the note. Yep. Do we have a way to do that? More options are coming. Yeah. It's hard to take in that much data, but we're almost there. Okay. You could just do the microphone thing and talk into it, and you got your note there. Yeah, dictate that. Yeah, dictate that. This would be good for two. If you have an outfitter review, you go with an outfitter that we sent you with. You could upload a picture and send a brief little review on that. Yep. Something we're excited. The last thing I think we're excited about on the homepage, Trophy of the Day.

From our submissions, we're going to randomly select one person's trophy every day, and everybody on the app will see it that day, and you can drop a heart on it. Just something fun. Just kind of cool. Yeah. Yeah. Just to give people hype. We like the trophies. So, can you think of a few changes that, like, Wyatt and Devin, of course, they're busy right now. Of course, it's app season and going crazy, but some of the things that we've all talked to you about, Logan, and maybe had you change. You know what I mean? So, like, I know Wyatt's hit you up and said, I'd really like to see this, or I'd really like to see that. Do you remember any of those? Yeah. So, one thing was that they wanted to see on the deadlines when the results were, so they wanted to see the draw deadline and the results more geared towards, like, odds.

One thing that I think everybody told me to put on here was instead of having to tap and go into a unit to see the information on it, they wanted as much information as possible, quickly viewable as possible. On the quick view. So, you can scroll to see. On our website, you can see a quick view, but then you have to tap on that exact hunt code or whatever. Yeah. To go see all the layering, to even see what you've got here. 6.1% drew with zero, 100% with one. We wanted to be able to see that on a quick view format. Yeah. And the nice thing, this was one of Cash's ideas, that I have a hard time giving Cash good credit, but he deserves it on this one. So, if I've got one point. You guys have a weird relationship. It's not. It's just we don't like each other. No, I think it's the opposite. I think you have men crushes on each other. He definitely has a man crush on me. I would say you.

Who wouldn't? I would say you. I mean, Lord, did you give him a mic with him not here? Who knows what's coming out of this one? Him crushing on you, some issues.

You crushing on him is on. There's an age gap there. It's on both ways. All right. Keep going. So, for example, on the minimum points query, if you have one point and you want to do research only for one point and you want to know what you would have been guaranteed in our most recent data. So, right now it would be 20-25 draw results. Or does every 100% with one. You can put one to one point in your query. So, one point only. And go into our filters and hit guaranteed draws only, where one point would have 100%ed you a unit. And then you filter down to units where one point guaranteed it. And you can see that all. And it'll show you down there below, hey, 40% was zero, Drew. So, that teaches you a little bit more right there on the quick view. See a little bit about the trends. If you click on that, then it will probably pull up the actual draw page from our website.

You can see, oh, what did 40% with zero look like? Oh, that was 4 out of 10. Or that was, you know, 40 out of 100. Or how many people you see the raw data. But the quick view gives you something just quick to look at. Yeah. Good addition there. I really like that. That was a really good change. How about the hunts, that guided hunts? Yeah, Devin works hard on this. And we wanted to make sure that these guided hunts are awesome. So, if you go to the homepage, hit the guided hunts. Devin does some of his favorites that he's got on the list right now. So, there's five featured hunts. And it'll pull up. And it'll give you some of the pictures from the outfitter from that hunt. The location, the timeline that you're looking at. The weapon choice you're looking at. The type of tag, species. As well as the price right there. So, you know what you're getting into.

And one of the cool things is, like, we'll send out an email once in a while. Like, we get a cancellation or, you know, a discount or something that's awesome. And we can email it out. And people don't see it. This will allow you to set a notification. And you'll know immediately if there's a discount that you're interested in. Yeah. You can load a foghorn in whenever you get one of these. Right, Logan? Your phone starts blaring like a foghorn on a ship. So, eventually when you've selected, I am looking for a mule deer hunt in this state. When one of those gets uploaded or when a new one of those gets uploaded, it'll ping your phone. And you'll be the first to know. Now, talk about the notifications. People will get to choose what they get notified for. Eventually, yeah. Right now, it's only deadlines that we have notifications for. It's very close in the works. That's the default.

We figure that's a safe one. Everybody wants to be notified there in case they're going to get off the deadline. But at some point, it might be whatever. Yeah, these hunts or, you know, giveaway stuff or whatever you want to add. Optics. You'll be able to opt in to additional. So, you'll opt in or opt out. Yeah. Opt out if you don't want application deadlines. Right now, we recommend turn on notifications for the app. It's natural for me to never allow notifications on any app that's on my phone. We put a disclaimer on. It's a little bit different because we're dealing with deadlines and hunting. And, I mean, if you're even on the app and active on there, that's a benefit. There's nothing more important than those notifications. It's your life. I mean, it's your hobbies. It's your vacation. It's your family time. It's whatever. Well, it's all time sensitive.

You need to know right when it's available or else you might miss out on an opportunity. Same thing we do. We send out emails two days before and a text the day of. It's the same type of stuff. This is what's wrong with hunting.

What? All of this. Really? The information highway. This is costing deer lives. Like, this is why we complain. People are remembering to apply and they draw. Otherwise, they wouldn't. Right? Or, like, say, I'm very cognizant of what I can and can't get and I'm able to dissect my options and actually have real valid opinions. Not just my buddy down the road said that he had a good hunt in 62 in Colorado or whatever it is. Right? So, like, this is like Onyx. The mapping of the world has killed deer. It's changed lives. It's less big deer on the landscape. Well, you don't. You don't turn back time. You're making hunting great again, Jason. I don't know, but I'm so impressed. And it's just, it's those kind of things that you're just like, man, this is wild. You know what I mean? If you're tuned in and you use the app correctly, you're absolutely going to find hunts that you

would have missed out on. Yes. And you're going to find opportunities. Yes. I just, I don't know. Take me back to the flannel phase. If I developed paper apps, block letters, black lettering only, blue would get you rejected. The first Garmin, we were in the Wanaha wilderness in Oregon, and it was like, we were in this rainforest, and this thing was, it felt like taking us around in a circle, and it was raining, and it was cold, and it was after dark. 100 foot tall trees. Oh. Canopy cover. And I was like, this thing's jacked. These things are never going to catch on. Give me a map. Never. And it was 14 hours to get it to find the satellites and log on, and you could see the bars on the signal strengths and all the things. Anyway, and we walked out into a meadow, and we could see the white truck and the little starlight, and that was ours. And I was like, it worked. Wow.

And it was just like, ever since then, things are going downhill. Instead, you had a compass. Yeah. A compass and a paper map in a rainstorm. When people died in the hills, there was big deer. Take me back. Now we have side-by-sides that take every jank road in the world. Before, we used to have to really risk our truck. Yeah. Helicopter search and rescues. All the things. I mean, everything. Safe. What you're saying? Nobody even takes a lighter. Good food. Good clothing. Good guns. Good optics. Good bows. Nobody takes a lighter. Nobody. I mean, we have computers and things that tell us what to dial to. You have little electric lighters that torch stuff right out there. But snipers in the 70s versus hunters in 2000, they don't compare. The hunters would have whooped on the snipers. Yeah. You know? Is that going a little too far? No.

No, it's just advancements have happened all across the board. But this is amazing to me. To me, this is cutting-edge stuff. And so that goes back to me saying also, if they allow crossbows, are you going to go take a longbow?

Or if it's any weapon, so you have rifle hunters in the field, are you going to be that guy with a longbow or a compound bow? No. You're going to use what you can. You want to be. You've got to stay competitive, right? You've got to stay up with the times. I don't know. Does anybody want to like? You're not going to give yourself a disadvantage and not using this information is giving yourself a disadvantage. This is free, too. This is not charging anybody for it. It's an addition to what you're doing. It's just on top of the magazine. Talk to the bill to talk to a live breathing person. But there's a lot of information here, honestly, that helps. Will help a lot of people build answer some of their questions. Doing a deeper dive. We're always at a page restriction, John, when we go to print in the magazine of what you can put in there. The app allows you to filter a lot more.

Have a lot more unit comments. Biologist notes in some cases or consultant notes in some cases. State write-ups. Whatever. Just a lot deeper, thorough review of each unit. Yeah. You're looking around the West. And the awesome thing is, let's say you're listening to our podcast and we mention a unit and you're like, oh crap. I want to... You can go in and put notes, save about that unit, look at it immediately. Jason slipped up. Yeah. I know what unit he hunted last year. Right. Exactly. Hey, has it ever occurred that I know you know?

Good luck. I did it on purpose. If he didn't kill a big buck, there's a chance he ain't going back. I had a good friend of mine. He was like, when you said this, I know what you know and I know you know. And I was like, yep, I know. I did it on purpose. I know. It's good stuff. All interesting. This information age, the Instagram, all the things, you know. It's just, it's cool. It's different. You're not turning back the clock no matter what. And so anyway, here you are. It's pretty amazing. It's pretty awesome. There's more to it though, Logan. Like I don't even know how to explain it. All these individual things that you've been working on. Maybe talk about a few other things that aren't loaded yet. Yeah. We've been in development for months. There's a lot of layers. Some things we haven't even covered today that I forgot about because I built a while ago.

And somebody will, I'll find it one day and it'll remind me. Some things that are coming is we want to hear from you on these units. We want to be able to know what experiences people have on these units and be able to build ideas and profiles for units based on the experiences hunters are having in the field. And so coming will be. The ability to put your comments. Yeah. Tell us what you thought about a unit. Tell us what you saw. We see those a little bit like in the snapshots, John. Sometimes you put in the magazine. I mean, it'll be maybe a condensed version of that type of stuff. If it was something that you can impart to somebody, you're not going to be back to a lot of these units in your life. So you don't have to ever do a report on something that you're going to hunt every single year as a general season unit. You don't have to do that.

But other stuff that you feel like was, well, that was a tag that I think I could help another self-guided or, you know, Epic Outdoors member, you know, hit the ground running easier. It's going to create a community. It's going to create a community out there eventually. Yeah. And it's all voluntary. You know, who knows? We may incentivize to build some, build unit comments on there. We've done that in the past when we got started through the Epic Outdoors and our member experience program. But, I mean, it'll just allow you to do it. If you've got places to stay or, you know, a meat packer in a certain unit, I don't know. Who knows? All that. There's guys always asking us, like, are those roads, can I rent a truck, a little half ton or a suburban or something, and go out and do that hunt? Or is it such that I need E-rated tires? I need my own gear. Four-wheeler. And it's no joke.

Understanding that before you apply and when you draw the tag before you go is huge. And our member experience list, where you can talk to guys that have hunted that unit before, does this. But this does it at scale where you can talk to a lot of people at once. Yeah, and that one's after the draw. Usually this one might be able to glean some information to help you make a little bit better informed decision about whether you think this unit's right for you before you apply. I think the other thing that's worth mentioning is the quality of the information from our members. This is a closed system. So this isn't, you know, every Joe Schmo out there can look at it, can read it, can get the information. And so we've got, like, the best of the best hunters that are a part of our membership that are sharing information. And our stuff is some quality information.

A lot of times, like, you know, like the Internet, you search Google, you're getting information that's bad. My favorite is we've had, my AI agent says this, what say you? I mean, that came through. Yeah. It's like, oh, gag me. Well, and that's taking everything everybody's ever said and trying to condense it into one answer. On a forum or anywhere. I will tell you this. I was really impressed with AI. The last, I would say, 10 queries I've had with AI, not hunting related, other stuff, everything in life. You load up a part and it tells you what part it is and where to buy it. Whatever it is. Even just a picture. But it's been wrong. Yeah. I even did the 0% Chevy financing. I heard, like, Wyatt, or not Wyatt, but cash, I think, or somebody, Wyatt said something like, you know, 0%, Chevy's offering 0% on da-da-da-da-da trucks. And I'm like, uh-uh, really? I hit AI. Is Chevy offering 0%?

No, it's not offering 0%. Probably one truck, one model, maybe. And I said, you are not correct. They are offering 0%. Upon further review, yes, that is correct. 0% is being offered on certain, certain models. And I'm just like, AI has not been right multiple times. And that brings up a good point. Like, with our website always, but with this app, too, since it's new, all the data that goes into that, everything we write. It's from us. It has eyes on it. It's been reviewed. And that's why we're asking for beta testers, which I think we'll talk about in a minute. And you have to, AI cannot get to this because it's behind password protection. It's behind our stuff. Cannot get to it. Yeah. There's no, uh, Chad GPT is not quoting Epic Outdoors. Yeah. Neither is Grock. Nope. Not even Grock. Yeah. And I think Logan made a good point that I've had the same experience that you have, Jason.

And like, I'm like, geez, AI seems to be getting worse. It's worse. And, and Logan's like, yeah, because there's more and more information. And it's misinformation. That's bad. And it doesn't know. Doesn't know how to necessarily ground truth. Oh, this is all false. Sean had the same thing. He was, he was doing like a security system or whatever. And it wouldn't log and it wouldn't load and get figured out. And it was like a Starlink issue. And Starlink doesn't like let outflow a certain way because, you know, Musk has restricted that. And anyway, I don't understand it all. You can, you got to bypass it and stuff. But anyway, I mean, he was diving into the middle of the system when really it wasn't the system's fault. It was the Starlink's fault. And finally, AI said, yeah, Starlink does offer some data. And sometimes it will not work with the certain brands of systems.

You know what I mean? And you're just like, yes, literally. Yeah. And a little tantrum and 14 other, you know, who knows, right? Like frustrations, right? And so I'm just like, man. But like 30 days ago, I was so impressed with AI. It was never wrong. I don't know what the deal is. They had a massive problem with when you tell an AI thank you, it actually messes it up more than it does any good. Really? Like people will say, what's the recipe for this cookie dough? Thanks so much. And it believes that that's the perfect right answer when. And it loads everybody else with that recipe. But then when it compares that exact response against everything else, it gets screwed up. And then it actually makes a worse response for the next person down the road. And so telling an AI thank you, now they've coded it so that when somebody does that, it ignores that.

So the hunter in me wants to say thank you every time after good hunting information. So it messes up the next guy. That's perfect. Misinformation. That's exactly what you should say to everybody. Everybody that we end a call with that today we say thank you, they're going to be like, what do you mean by that, Jason? What do you mean? I'm trying to throw you off. Also with our data, our data is in a closed system.

You guys.

Let's start throwing some stuff off. What, John? Our data is in a closed system as well. And so our draw odds. That's proprietary. We've been doing this for 20 years. And there's specific ways that we do our calculations that we feel are the most accurate out there. And it's been, you know, we've proven it over time. And it's in a closed system. And we've got, like, our draw odds are so good. So that's what I was thinking. I was telling Logan and Adam and I were in on this conversation of, like, hey, so Gomer Pyle gets on there and makes a comment and says, I saw there's 170 bucks. Well, how do we know that Gomer Pyle knows what 170 is? But then, like Logan said, there's this law of averages. When so many people go on, the data gets tighter and tighter and tighter tolerances and more and more accurate on the average. Yep. Right? Yeah. Standard deviation curves.

As you get more input, the truth comes out because most people will experience the truth or be able to relay the truth. You get three guys make a comment where there's 1,000 deer hunters a year. Three comments a year is nothing. Right. So then one guy's like, place sucked I left in a day. Well, you don't even really know. I could have said that about a certain unit in Colorado. And actually on day five or seven, I was like, oh, I kind of like this place. I'm glad I stayed. Yes. And what product do you trust? You weed through some of them. When you go on Amazon, if you see two of the exact same product, one's got two reviews, one's got 499. I go 499. Every time. For that reason. It's the exact same thing. I used to not look at the reviews. I used to have 10 or 20 bad ones in the 499. I used to not even look at the reviews because I know they can be like plants. Yes.

Especially when you're down to five or 10. Now, if you're into 400, you're not finding 400 plants. But anyway, and then after a few jank purchases and you're like, okay, I'm going to start looking at the reviews. I'm going to go where the masses go. Oh, there's four and a half, four and three quarters, five stars for 400 people. There's 4.5 million people have bought this thing. And they're 4.8 out of five. Yeah. I'm going to go there. It's Amazon's choice. Ta-ching.

All right. So anyway. What else have we left out, Logan, as far as just we've kind of. We've got stuff coming down the pipe, but I've got a whiteboard in my office that is just full. John's handwriting is microscopic, and that thing is chock full of ideas we want to put on. I can't remember them all, but we've got stuff coming. It'll be active. It'll be, you know, morph however we want it to morph. We can love this whenever we want. It's just a matter of what do we want. And we want it to be the best it can be. Yeah. And that's why we want the help of. Yeah. Tee it up. Yeah. We're opening it up for beta testing. It's not a public app yet, but we want to give you podcast listeners the first opportunity to lay eyes on this thing and help us develop it. Because apps are a big product. Actually fine tune it. Yeah. Let's put it this way.

It's saying, I think you'd go live right now and 98 out of 100 people would think this is awesome. It is. We use it. It's not like it's being under construction. Yeah. But there's always a little bug, slightly way to portray data, you know, different things like that. Or just preferences. Just preferences. Yeah. So tell us what we're going to do, Logan. We're going to, you know. So the first 100 podcast listeners that. That we approve. Yeah. What does that mean? Well, they've got to load their social. Can I? We've got to do a background check. Credit check. We've got to know where these people are from. Anything under 680. And who they're affiliated with. Yeah. Update what? A hunter safety card.

Update a hunter safety card and a picture of the dead animal. So we know you're actually a hunter. I like it. What are you saying, Jason? I like it. In the description of this podcast and in our Instagram bio, if you can't see the podcast description for whatever reason, but there's going to be a link. Fill out the Google forum. First 100 people. It's going to have to be members because, I mean, I'm just viewing this as a non-member. You're not going to have access to this. So we're going to have to. If you want to do it, if you want to be a beta tester and you're a non-member, sign up. You'll do it? You would let them do it for 14 days or how long? Yeah. Yeah. We'll just put a limit on there, I guess. So we'll give you a. Might give them incentive to join in the future. New app users, 14-day free trial, if you're a non-member. We may do a 14-day trial forever. I don't know.

That's sounding like it. We can do that later. That's for later when we actually go hot. Yeah. If you're not a member, don't let it shy away from you. Try it out. Decide if you like it or not, and then hopefully sign up. But yeah, go to the Google form link. Submit it. First 100 people. We want to hear your thoughts on the app feedback, typos you see, some ideas you have. Are you guys ready for this? If we blow this podcast out tonight, is it ready? Yeah. What do you mean? It's ready. No, it's ready for people to sign up. Yeah. We've been using it all. I'm testers. Yeah. The potential testers. I'm ready. Come on. Yeah. I'm ready. How come it's beta? Just talk that through. Why isn't it alpha testing? Alpha testing is what we did. This is what we've been doing. When you do people who are involved in the development of the app.

Beta testing is people who've never seen it before, but are before public launch. But they still have opinions and can make changes. How come we went alpha, beta, and then public launch? What's C? I guess there's no group. Omega. There's no group after B. Is that what you're talking about? Yeah. No. I just mean you've got alpha testers, and I guess that's us. Jason, how does it feel to be an alpha tester here, Jason? That's pretty good. I think somebody should pay me, actually. I'd like to have some image and likeness. Oh, and some jangle. Me too. Go back to the gold and silver we started with. Then we've got beta testers. Then we've got, you know, I don't know, public launch. Just doesn't seem like it follows any pattern. A, B, public. Whatever. There's only two steps. What about Zulu? Let's make it whatever you want it to be. We can't get all the way down. That's too many people.

All right. I'm not a coder. I'm not a computer programmer. Those are questions I just thought of. All right. Is it clear? Did everybody get that? All right. Do you need to say it again, or is it all going to be clear? If you've hung around this long and you're interested in the app, go to the Instagram or go to the Google form link. Sign up. We want to hear what you have to say about the app. Where is that? Yeah, where can I find it? You said Instagram. That's going to be in the podcast description below or in our Instagram bio. Okay. Either or. All right. So I made a comment that this is what's wrong with deer hunting. And it's just not necessarily true. You know what's right with deer hunting this year? What's right? Weird moisture storms and red things and green grasses. And all the green forbs and bushes. Yeah. Talk to me.

There's like bitter brush that's blooming like I've never seen in some places. In fact, a good friend of ours came in. They run cows in a certain portion over here in Nevada. And he's like, in my lifetime, okay, the kid's 25 years old. So it's not, I mean, it's not crazy. But he's like, I've never seen it better conditions this time of year. He's also lived through some bad droughts the last few years. So I'm taking that as, it's going to be legit. From what I've seen, it's pretty legit. Yeah. What's the tallest bitter brush you've ever seen? Oh, way over the truck. Yeah. I have. Big trees. Trees. Old stuff. Old decadent, but they're gross. I came across some in Nevada last year and I was like, geez. It scratched the hoodie or the very top of your truck. I'm not sure this is bitter brush because it's so big. It might be cliff rose, but it's just a cousin. Same thing. Same. Deer love it.

It's just bigger variety. Bigger. Yeah. Tree. Semi-trees. Almost like pinyon tree tall. Yeah. So it might have been cliff rose, but it looks the same. They're really very, very close. They eat it. We're getting lucky in some of this, you know, after no snowpack and all that, we're getting lucky with some very timely storms. That's really all that comes down to. So yeah, hopefully it continues. I know. It's beautiful. So anyway, here we are. We're coming up against Nevada. We're excited about it, Bronson. We've got a May 13th deadline. So a lot of guys are thinking about it. You can apply. Plug and play for free. Go on there. Adjust your choices all the time. It's kind of fun. I applied, what, 14 years ago? I don't know. It feels like when it first came available this year. I don't know why you did. I mean, I don't either. I didn't even do Utah. I was like, I don't care about Utah.

I'm like, what are you doing that? He goes, I don't know. In case I die, I'm in the draw. Yeah. He'll say something. All the time. Well, if I'm in the hospital unconscious, I want to make sure I'm in. I'm going to haunt some people. I'm coming back. I'll be back by August 10th. I'll be back. August 10th, our tree opener, I'm back. Better than ever. Coming back in a worm form or something. I love it. All right. We're going down some roads. So anyway, Elk and whatnot, Bronson, they came out with some of their tag allocation projections. Obviously, the commission gets to veto or ratify it or adjust it, and so that'll happen. That'll happen within five days or so of the deadline, but you'll have a chance to, if something changes there or goes through as presented, a lot of guys, kind of like Wyoming Deer and

Antelope, you can apply based on projections, and then if something changes not to your liking, you can go back and plug and play up until June 1st. In this case, you can apply now, see what happens. If something, you know, you see tags being proposed in the unit you think you're wanting to draw, I'm all for it, and then all of a sudden they don't go through with it, which sometimes they don't. The commission has the final say on what gets approved. I'm just going to say I kind of like this commission in Nevada. They're pretty conservative, good people. They're trying hard. Anyway, so we'll see. Nevada Department of Wildlife does a good job, too. They are, you know, obviously fairly optimistic and want to issue tags where they think they can, but they like high buck-to-doe ratios. The state, the residents, the commission, they like high buck-to-doe ratios. They like old deer.

They like big deer. Well, and they know we've been living through a droughty period, especially when it comes to, you know, say mule deer. I mean, elk numbers have stayed somewhat similar, permit numbers, and slightly increasing. Yeah. Mule deer have been, man, they took it on the chin hard in some of these years, and I think they're just some of the folks, whether it be in the county advisory boards or the commission themselves, that just want to see true progress in numbers of bucks before we really increase tags too much. That's all it comes down to. Cautious. I don't care what anybody says, though. Big deer, they taste better, and there's more of it. You know what I mean? Let them get old. Amen. Amen. You get to chew them for a while. A crock pot can cook any deer on the planet. 100%. Just saying. Lowry season salt. I mean, I don't care. Come on. Coat it. Anyway, pretty fun stuff.

Also, antelope tags. They're cranking antelope tags. Of course, it's a factory. They come back way quicker than mule deer. But I still, I'm kind of. I'm not going to say I've got passion there. You're not going to say me. But I'm telling you, I'm kind of like, man, they're doubling the tags in certain units that I just want to see big bucks. Big antelope. What are you reading here? No, I just didn't. Oh, anyway. So, yeah. Kind of fun. Also, how about this? Colorado also has their tag quotas out, Bronson. Yeah. And we got to look through a few of those. And they constantly are wanting to maximize. Tinker. Tinker and maximize hunter opportunity. I want to see big deer. Yeah. And what's interesting, you'll see some units like all in a cluster. Not a unit cluster, but like neighboring units that you can kind of feel that it's maybe a biologist or somebody. All right.

All these units are getting increases and all the ones right next to it are staying actually status quo. And you're just wondering like, how consistent can you see? Even, you brought up 35, Logan. And even that with tag decreases. Which I'm grateful for. I mean, the best genetics in the entire state. It's a deer factory. But then you get other units that are just pouring to it. Yeah. That you feel like don't have like any more deer and actually maybe a little bit drier, arid, you know, conditions and things like that. That biologist. Well, and back in, I mean, they were, you know, when they were trying to deal with CWD and whatnot, they were pouring the tags to 35. For just an example, a lot of other units. Anyway, like you brought up 25, 26 right next to it. Cranky. Pouring the tags to one side of the river, cutting them on the other side of the river. Yeah.

And they're both generally managed for pure opportunity. They're not like, it's not like 44 south of the highway that's managed for real. Not like they got heavier predation in one side of the river versus the other. Or heavier winters or anything like that. It's just like, okay, why? Why? One side of the river, they're just adding it like crazy. But knowing that commission, they'll just ratify it. Nevada's going to fight back a little. Yeah. But lots to consider in Nevada. Of course, the five choices, we've talked about that, like beating a dead horse. What would it be like if you had two choices? It'd be different, yeah, especially on certain things. Elite deer units, desert sheep or non-residents get to put in for about 12 units. Most everybody puts in for five now, so you're overlapping, whatever that is, 40%. Everybody's overlapping.

But if I only could put in for one or two choices, I wouldn't even be in the draw for something. Yeah, exactly. But it should be a great year in Nevada. It's a state that's more of a long-term approach. You don't draw a lot of tags often as non-residents in Nevada. Let's just freely admit that. It's kind of like a Utah, other than the general season tags in Utah that you can draw somewhat regularly. You eliminate those. Utah tags, Nevada tags, kind of similar. You don't draw them very often, even for deer and elk. The only benefit about, like, deer in Nevada, there's no waiting period. You draw a tag, just go right back in the draw and start trying to draw another tag. That's a beautiful thing. As you want. But anyway, we're optimistic, you know, this year in Nevada especially. It feels like there's been progress. Light winter. Good moisture up north.

You know, light down south, but timely right now in the spring. Antler growth in that northeast corner is no joke. You know, on elk anyway. You can tell on elk, I think. I don't know so much about mule deer. It's pretty... It's got to start warming up. You're not really drawing on my face. They're just... Anyway, a little shout out to Koa Optics. Pretty incredible. I had a friend, actually, who's looking at a 55. Kind of comparing the new Zeiss, Appia, Swaro, you know, STCs, and then obviously this Koa. Koa makes a great product. We carry them. Of course, Zeiss and Swaro do as well. They do have a promotional going. We've got great pricing on all Koa products and have them all in stock. Except for, I guess, we need to reorder on a 66. Yeah, we sold our last 66 straight today. Come on. We'll have it in soon. All you straight users, don't fret.

Yeah, we've got deep promotions going right now. So good, good deals on those. You want something, give us a holler. Pretty awesome. 435-2600-7700. We're going to help you out. Pretty awesome. Also, shout out to TS Customs Rifles. It seems like we've got some rifles being built here in the office. I've got mine. I like it. If you go on our Instagram, you'll see we took out Jason's new rifle, and he shot 1,100 yards, and it was unbelievable. I've got a .300 PRC being built right now. I'm going to use it this year. Oh, I like it. 300 PRC. I like it. It'll be great. Don't have one of those, so might as well have one. There's some times you need a .30 caliber. I think all the time. Except for the .7 PRC has been doing well. You can't kill them too dead, but I like them pretty dead. I'd also like to give a shout out to St. James Sporting Properties.

They've been a longtime partner of ours, and they specialize in hunting and fishing properties. So kind of like you're looking for your dream property, that's where you go. That's the catalog, the old Sears catalog for toys back in the day. Well, if you want a hunting property, then St. James Sporting Properties is the place to go. So, sjsportingproperties.com. Good dude, knows what he's doing. Pretty awesome. Last shout out we wanted to give was to Vortex, Vortex Optics. We carry all their stuff, like to use all their stuff. One thing they just came out with was the new Vail 400 Thermal Monocular. Pretty awesome, affordable range Thermal Monocular. If you're looking to get into it, the Vortex Lifetime Unlimited Warranty is pretty awesome for an electric optic. It's a 2.3 magnification, OLED HD resolution, and a 12 micron thermal sensor. So that's pretty good for a new release there.

Yeah, pretty good for an entry-level thermal product if you're trying to get into it affordably. We use a lot of thermal in Texas, I heard. Texas is one of the last great states. You kill everything, do whatever you want, whatever. There's no rules there. A deer, I don't know. I honestly don't know, but I know deer are protected wildlife. There's a lot of other stuff like elk and things that aren't. Desert sheep are. Barbary. But Barbary or not. Javeline. Call it peccary. Javeline. What's that, Jason? Yeah. They are protected. I think they are. They have a season. But there's a lot of other stuff that if you can get an identification on them, send it. It's kind of a fun state. I'm not going to lie. I've never hunted that. It's just interesting. Myself, but it's just a unique. Yeah, it's unique. If you're going to Texas soon, go to epicoutanyway.com. Safari of the West. Predator hunts.

I know there were some technology changes in Idaho with the exception of predators, namely wolves too. So anyway, kind of fun. There's still some fun opportunities out there. What else we got here? So with the wolves, are they under, in Idaho, are they under the predator rules? Yeah. You can use them for wolves. Yeah, you can use them for wolves. Very cool. Yeah. Yeah, we'll see. I've got my gun set up. You're going to do it? Oh, yeah. No, not for wolves. Oh. Predators. But for coyotes and predators where, I mean, night hunting is legal. Yeah. In a lot of places. So get ready to go try that. It's fun. It's no joke. Pretty fun. All right. Adam, do we have any other words of wisdom or anything else? I think that catches up to speed for the, you know, a lot of what we want to talk to you about the app today.

A few deadlines tomorrow and Friday, moose, sheep, and goat, like we talked about in Idaho, Wyoming, Montana. And then, yeah, Nevada will be front burner for the next couple of weeks. So, other than that, it's a lot of waiting on results, too, right now. A lot of results come out mid to late May. Pretty fun. Good time of year. Good time of year. May is a great month of the year. Anyway. All right. Okay. Well, Logan, let's put this out. Let me know what goes on and how we get people signed up and what it's all looking like. Yeah. I appreciate everybody's willingness to look at that and give us feedback and use it and use it like you would want it, want to, you know, if it was yours, if you were a king of an app for a day. I'll bet it helps some beta tester kill something. If I develop the app that helps somebody kill a 200-inch deer, is that, do I get credit on that?

Is that my 200-inch deer? Yeah, you're going to get fired. Their name's going in the record book. It's their name in the record book. You're going to get fired. It's only the shooter. We want big deer to live. All right. Have a great weekend, everybody. Let's face it. If your goal is to kill big stuff, you need to draw quality tags. Quality tags are typically hard to draw.
