I told you. The pride and joy of Beaver County. I got a good solid eight in me last night. Feeling good? I'm feeling good too. It's amazing how my age, speaking of Carter, happy 2025. You're going to turn the big 5-0 this year. Why do we have to tell everybody that? Well, it's just, there's personal things. We lived my life a year ago, now we're going to live yours. He's already sensitive because you two have to have glasses now. Oh, that's the other thing. We can't pod, or what do we call YouTube these episodes because of our glasses. I'm over that. Josh can out you anyway, so it doesn't matter. Whatever. Whatever. Bronson and I have to wear readers when we're freaking typing up the magazine and writing things out. This podcast room is a little bit dimly lit. Let's blame it on that. When I start to get in my truck at night, I can't even read my phone when it's dark.

What power are your glasses on? There's just, I buy like three for $10. So they're like, whatever. Basic readers are, I don't know. What's standard? No, I don't know. I bought a three-pack for $10. But it's a certain kind, like a one or a negative one or whatever they call it. All right. But anyway, way past that. Happy 2025. Happy 2025. We are super stoked about 2025. I'm excited. New slate, new year, new me. How about you, Bronson? Absolutely. Pollock? Like I always say, we're batting about it. Are you going to go a little easier on the elk this year? I don't know if I can help it, but I'm not very optimistic. Maybe that's a good way to start. What? Plans. What are you going to target with a vengeance this year? I don't know. And then we'll go around the little room right here. I don't know. We did just look on my way in, my New Mexico hunting odds of drawing that tag that I had

were 0.14%. Yeah, but more like one in what? I like to say one. 714. 714. 714. Yeah. Kind of interesting. That's pretty good. There's a living, breathing person at the end of a statistic. Yeah. You know who that person is. So yeah, I don't know. Sky's the limit, I guess. Well, so you've got enough elk meat in the freezer. We know that. And antlers, you don't have any more room in your office? Can't eat the antlers. So what are you going to do? I don't know. I mean, there's plenty of applications to apply for. Who knows? Who knows? Wow. He's being vague and ambiguous. He's kind of sheep. Sheep. Goats, mooses. Oh, wow. He's going for once a lifetime. I mean, Jason, I know you, but I mean, what do you mean? And I'm like, I'm sick of saying mule deer because you're setting yourself up for failure. Failure. Well, mule deer, or just frustration. Never been tougher right now. Never been tougher.

But with that, people are trying harder than ever, and we're going to be trying harder than ever, and we're going to continue and never give up on all of those things. But what we are doing, and you've started to do it in other facets of your career. You're trying to. Some weird stuff. White tails. Exactly. White tails. And I'm kind of, same thing. Yes. Whether it be a coos, whether it be a real, what do you call them? When I say real white tail. Well, they're a mini. Let's call them a midget white tail. They're like the toy. They are like the toy. The toy white tails or whatever. The little gray coos. Yeah. Exactly. Whether it be those or regular white tails, like, they're anything big. And if it, I mean, for me, I've said this on this podcast since last year, but if I shoot another antelope, it's going to be with y'all, and we're going to have some fun. Having a good time. And dares.

And maybe my kids. And it's the best meat on planet Earth. That's Devin. According to Devin. Hey, there's a pretty big antelope dare. It's going to be a group hunt, or they're going to be big. There's a pretty big antelope dare on the table, I'd say. What is that? Who? Mind us. Wyatt. What did he say? Wyatt's hunt that he found for all of us. Oh, yeah. It was archery in Idaho. While he was up there hunting Milder, he saw some big antelope. And he was so adamant. He hit me direct, hit all of us individually. Not me. Well. He knows where I stand. He hit Devin. I know. He knows. And it sounds like. But it's an OTC, basically, a guaranteed tag for archery antelope. And we're like, archery antelope? You're going to drive like 10 hours each way for that? I've been very outspoken. And the fact that Jason has taken three or four good lunches for me at $9 or $10 a point

in Colorado for three or four years. I've been building points there at your request. And I regret it. No, you don't regret it. I do. It's chicken feed. Speaking of chicken feed, I think that's part of applying in the West is gaining points anywhere and everywhere. By the way, I want to talk a little bit about our online odds, Adam. Just before we get really cranking, our online odds are no joke. And it's part of 2025. Yeah. It's time. It's time to start planning. And so we've been working with all these minimum points queries. If you'll go to Utah, and of course, I mean, just because we worked on Utah yesterday, you can do a minimum points query on the general, on the dedicated, on the limited entry deer, all kinds. And so pretty fun, pretty easy to use. The easiest online's queryable odds of anything out there. They're just slick. Slick.

You don't have to filter a bunch of stuff in or out. You can just go look exactly what hunt you're looking for. That kind of stuff. And the Montana. We did the Montana elk and deer. Same thing. You can go on there, do the odds based off of the point. With the squared. Yes. Kind of like we do in Nevada. And you can see the whole list of this is what your odds were, but then this is what actually happened. Yeah, because it's really probability, or I'm not a statistician, so I don't want to get emails and texts from people that are college professors in statistics, okay? Yeah. So if I use the word odds or probability, and I use them inaccurately, I'm talking to hunters, okay? I like it. Do not rebuke me. But it is. It shows you, you square the points, and this is how many names you have in the hat divided by how many total names are in the hat divided tags, and do all the math.

And you can only do so much on paper in the magazine. Yeah. But like Nevada, too. You can go look at your point level and look at what your odds were at your point level. Yeah. And it gradually, with every point, mathematically, gets better the more points because you have more names in the hat. Now, can guys draw with one point when you have 20? Absolutely. Yeah. That's the randomness to a draw. But the probability goes up, and it's nice. And so... Oh, our online... I mean, trust me. If Bronson and I can use them... Every state I'm using... If Bronson and I can use them and we like to use them, then they're freaking easy. Well, and if they're not easy or if they're not... We fix it. User-friendly. Let's call it user-friendly. Yeah. Our computer guy is awesome. He can do anything. Well, Wyatt was working on some of our guys' Utah stuff as far as trying to figure out...

They had zero points. What can I draw dedicated on them for zero? Well, and here's the other question coming out for Utah this year is you have to either choose between your general or dedicated. And now guys want to look at their odds. I have four dedicated and three general. What's my best chance to draw this year? Which one should I go after? Yeah. And they have to analyze it for that reason. Part of that comes into what your schedule is like this year. Would you be sad if you didn't get drawn this year? Can you go ahead and wait on the dedicated? Also, dedicated changes from year to year depending on how many tags are available to get dedicated and who retires out of the program. Three-year period. Things like that. But nevertheless, and Utah's not even coming up. We're just using it as an example. But all the states that we've been rattling off are done. And I haven't...

They're awesome. I just got back from the holidays. Oh, yeah. And hunting, which we want to dive into that. A couple states are probably not updated, but I don't know many. Nevada. Is one. Nevada is like one. I think the only one. More complex report that you get from them. But this is so easy. So awesome. Easy. People love it. We've made this a priority to get these out earlier by the first of the year. We built this for us when we're consulting. So, yeah, we, you know, Bronson and I and Josh and all the consultants here, we're nonstop on the phone talking to you guys directly. And as we're doing it, guys are like, well, I have nine points. I have a guy right now. I got nine points in Utah. You know what I want, which is, you know, rough, rugged, you know, backcountry type stuff. Give me my options. Well, it's really easy to do a minimum points query.

And I would do like a, let's say, six to ten or eleven. And that way you can say, well, and if you're willing to wait a couple years, here's a couple other options that may open up to you. We're already getting calls from Colorado. And Colorado's a great one to do the minimum points on because nothing really changes year to year. They did reset their new five-year season structure, which is basically a day earlier next year than it was last year. And so it's, you know. It'll be interesting as like the archery elk will now be on a draw. And now this year, this year is going to be a crapshoot. Who knows what's going to happen? But next year, that minimum points query is going to be interesting. Now you're going to have a list of all of these units that used to be just done OTC. Well, hey, you, me, I mean, we've used our elk points over there before.

I mean, I'm not, may not give us, but there's going to be some options to use your points on. Don't paint me in a corner. I'm not going elk in Colorado. Why not? Archery in 2026. No, that's what you're saying is don't paint me in a corner. I want to talk about it, but don't let me do it. Well, what else are we going to draw with minimal points? It's okay. We've got 14 other states, right, Josh? Exactly. Well, I mean, there's whitetails that need to die. But we need to argue. I'm not even in this country. We can leave the country if we need to. Really? Well, the 51st state. The 51st state. Eh? Eh. Trump's going to make that the 51st state. Yeah. And we're going to go better. We're not going to have to cross the border and be dealing with weird border agents that are, you know. And I'm going on vacation this winter down to the Gulf of America. I like it. I like it.

That's got a ring to it, by the way. Speaking of, Carter, we have guys telling us, they're just calling us. Tell Wendy, when you, I know you're working. Will you not answer my phone call? I'm going to call you back. I just want to listen to your on hold message. Hey, hey, hey. I got to jump. Trump's a big fan of Epic. So anybody that wants to call in, just call in and just say, hey, put me on hold. Call in at 530 at night. You have to be on hold. You can't do after hours. You actually have to be on hold. Oh, that's right. So it's the on hold thing. And so people are calling in and telling Wendy, will you just put me on hold for a minute? I think they want to put it on their voice or on the speaker in their office and let their friends hear. It's kind of cool. Let's just say Trump's a big fan of Epic Outdoors. But anyway, pretty fun. All right. So moving right along.

We built this for us, Bronson. So that's the one thing about our service here at Epic Outdoors. We're so involved in Western Big Game Hunting. We built the entire premise of the business was built around what we like to do and trophy like, trophy hunters mindset similar to ours. And so when we go on to do a minimum points query for ourselves, we're like, well, Kurt, we call up Kurt. Kurt, fix this. We want to see this. We want to see that. That's what happened yesterday. Why it's like, I want to know minimum points for generals. I want to know minimum points for dedicated. Let's segregate those out. It's done. CWMUs are only available, you know, drawing a CWMU is only available to residents. It's like, there's a few things we should. Those are all done now. All done. In a matter of. Overnight. 15 minutes. Oh, yeah. If you get our guy. If you ask Kurt, it was 10 hours.

If you ask me, it's probably 15 minutes. Kurt, we love you. We're just. He's good at it. He's so good at it. But anyway, he built it from the ground up. He can do it in his sleep. But if there's something on there that you're wondering about, I have, we have a lot of guys that call in, don't even know this is available. They don't even know it's available. And so anyway, after hours, you're chilling out at the house, go scroll around. Look around for a minute. Well, and if you're looking ahead, I mean, the magazines come out strategically, you know, in the months that they generally become open to apply for. That's why we had to cover Wyoming elk in January. It's why we cover Arizona elk and antelope because they open up first. They're due the end of January and 1st of February, first week in February for Arizona. And then, you know, naturally the next states will follow.

But sometimes you're eager. Sometimes your whole year might revolve around, hey, I'm going to burn my points in Colorado for deer. Well, go search. Go do the minimum points. The magazine's yet to come out. We also get to assess, you know, the winter and precip in some of the states, which, you know, some states that has a big impact on how aggressive you really want to be. And speaking of, I hope this farmer's... Almanac? No. What's it called? Farmer's Almanac. Is that what it's called? Yeah. I hope it's right. Josh, wasn't it you? They fortune tell the future of the weather. Yeah. And they use willow ditch witching sticks and stuff like that. I don't know that. I mean, how do they know that? What do they get there? Ocean tides. Okay. Temperatures of the water. The numbers are using, you know, what's going on in Tahiti. I don't know. They know what's...

The vibe is in Tahiti and that those... I hope they're right because right now we are dry. We're so dry. In Arizona? We're so dry. Trust me. Arizona, New Mexico. But having said that, like, we don't have to put the plow on the freaking skid. How nice is that? Yeah, but at some point... At some point, we'll be dragging it out. Hopefully. We're praying for it. I'm just saying. Yeah. So it says here, this is what the... Southern Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico. Says... We need it. Utah, Colorado, Lake Tahoe, California. Yes, precipitation and snowfall will be average or above average throughout the Intermountain region. The snowiest periods will fall in mid-November, which... That didn't happen. Well, we had those. We had that stuff. We had one storm. Right around mid-November. You guys... We're going to call it significant so we make ourselves... Late January, mid-March.

Late January is coming upon us. I kept hearing February and later. From multiple sources, and it's probably within this office, but I hope these guys that are at Market Grill and just the farmers that are talking, I hope they're right. Wherever the... Wherever that... Wherever they get their hunches. Because we need it. It's bad. We do. It's so powdered. But hey... It feels like my allergies have never been worse since January. The whitetails in the 51st state are going to be just fine no matter what happens down here. Are you nodding your head? Oh, big time. Allergies have been off the charts this winter. I know. December and January. I'm glad I don't have any allergies. I had to go to a doctor and see what the heck I could do. My gosh. Got it all fixed up. Really? Oh, yeah. Sinus rinse. Changed my life. Oh, disgusting. I don't want to hear about... A sinus rinse?

I don't want to hear about muci. Oh, it's life-changing. It was beautiful. What? It really is life-changing. You've done that too, Paul? I had my kids doing it. They're loving it. What do you mean? My 15-year-old, he can't live without it. I didn't know. I never knew there was a sinus rinse. I think I'm addicted to it. You guys are having nivage parties? You do it regularly? Every night. Yeah. What? Every night before you go to bed. It's changing. No way. I'm addicted to it. A sinus rinse? This is disgusting. Yeah. No. It's life-changing. It's a really beautiful thing, actually. Okay, salute. It's like... Who do we work with, Carter? Two of the most important things to me in my life is... That's like saying I like to get an enema every night. I like a good clean-out. So, sinus rinse or my bidet? Like, those are the two most important things in my life. I've heard the bidet is no joke.

I'm going to separate myself from Josh on that. I just am the sinus rinse guy. Yeah. Some days you will see the light or the darkness. Go ahead. Tell us about the rants. No. It's disgusting. What is it? Either one of these. You just put some salt... Basically, it's salt water. You buy it at Walmart. Salt water into a squeeze bottle, and you stick it on your nose. I do it. And you squeeze it? And you squeeze it, and you can feel it. Yeah, but it comes through your freaking throat. Does it come out your eyeballs? You have to... You squeeze it soft, and I have to put my tongue back to kind of plug up my sinus hole back there. Disgusting. And then... This is so disgusting. It just goes up, fills up your sinus, washes everything out, come out the other end, and then that's half the bottle, and then you do it again on the other side. And it comes out the other nostril? The other nostril. Weird.

And a bunch of stuff comes out. We are done talking about this, Jason. The first time I did it, it was crazy. Is this why you have a cold or something? No, all the time. Usually, but... Yeah. Usually, that's when it works best. If you're congested at all and you do it... It's amazing. Do you think you would recover from a cold faster or something? My whole life, I got no less than seven sinus infections a year, at least. I was always sick. Okay, so let's say this. If you've never had a sinus infection... Yeah, don't start it. I wouldn't do that. What happened with Grandpa? How did he ever live? He just lived a harder life than I did. I'm willing to admit that.

I want to Google benefits of the sinus flush. Okay, guys. Let's move on. I didn't... Okay. Tell me. I want to know what the benefits are. Is it just something that is euphoric? It might be fake, but it's working for me. Placebo. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. It's kind of like... It kind of stops this podcast for a minute. Take this pill every day. Take this pill every day. I'm disgusted. Don't know how to speak. I don't. I just made a comment about this being such a long, prolonged fall. Like, winter hasn't even happened. And how I have allergies. And my daughter, these guys chime in, and then I find out I'm not doing anything right with my life because I don't use a bidet or I don't nasal flush every night. We should get you guys one. And then we'll come back for a weekly update. So do you... All right. No. So the bidet just kind of clean out the chunky monkeys and you're good? I mean, what is it?

I talked to a guy yesterday, Bronson. Talked to a guy that was points only for like the last 11 years.

And then this year again, he wanted to do points. But he just wanted to kind of go over it like, what am I doing by doing this? Because it was a buddy of his that actually got him going on it. I said, you're electing never to get a tag right now, but you are preparing for the future. And he goes, yeah, I don't want to tag this year again. But he kind of wanted to go over it. Is 11 points good? What does that look like? How does it look for the next 10 years? And kind of get a basic idea and a plan. Anyway, we're good at that. That's what we do. We can help you do that. And of course, to get these online odds we've been talking about, to go get an e-magazine, to get a real paper magazine, all of that. It's $150 a year. There's not... We don't stratify our service and say, well, for e-mag only, it's this amount. Or for online odds only, it's this amount. All of that.

It's a full service or nothing. $150 a year. Well worth your time. Well worth your money. And we work hard at it every day, all of us, the entire crew. So I think without fail, once a year or two, I talk to somebody who misses a deadline. Usually more than once a year, somebody who misses a deadline or has missed a deadline in the past. And there's some times where missing just even one year could really dampen your odds and really affect you. When you're right there at the top end and then all of a sudden you get moved down to the next group of guys that are below you. And then you're five more years trying to get through those guys again, especially in some of these states with preference points and that. So, yeah. Yeah. It's pretty important and big, though. So license application, we're going to make sure you're never going to miss that.

Or with the magazine or you become a member, you're going to get text messages and things like that. Reminders. Either or. Well, and this isn't just texting. This is so much deeper than that. Oh, yeah. It's so much. But like you said, these are just a couple of the things that we hear of that people like, right? You get a magazine. You get a text. You get an email alert when deadlines are. And so if you are the guy that likes to be in control and do your application, it's fine. But if you're finding yourself too busy, your life circumstances have changed. You've got such a big raise and so many people that you're over in life and business and work and all that. You can't even pause to apply for a point on the application. You might better have somebody do your application. Yeah. And there's some things like Montana is kind of a crazy system.

And so, you know, it's the bonus point system, preference point in the general. When do I get that point? I need it a year in advance. So I know I'm going in 2026. I need to do that this year. If you're not going this year, you wouldn't have got the preference last year, but you would have got the bonus. There's just things like that that's knowing the ins and outs of a system and not having to know every little thing. Like your tax accountant. Bronson, how about that tax? The tax accountant since the last few weeks. Fun stuff, eh? I'm sick of them. Okay. But the good thing is I'm not sick of them. I'm grateful for them. Just year-end stuff. It's brutal. But we don't need to know the ins and outs because they do. And we trust them. And that's the way we look at it here at Epic Outdoors as far as hunting applications and preparing for hunts and booking hunts.

This is also heavy time for guys lining up, you know, for this year, next year, two, three years out on getting hunts booked with guaranteed tax as well. So a lot going on. I think we should dive in. There's a lot to dive in. We got a lot to go. Oh, dude. You got notes there? We're going to hear about your Creedmoor kill, the most recent Creedmoor kill. Creedmoor is not even, it's not even production. It's not even scope. So we're lining up another story as well. And then possibly talking about the show season. Dude, we're going to be, if we sell you a fierce rifle and a scope, we're going to mount the scope for free if you'd like. I mean, we've got deals coming up for show specials. And we're going to be at the expo and the wild show. Cheap show next week. I also want to, before we dive into that, though, I want to remind people we are the best deal out there.

Yeah, we're just starting to get loaded up. I've been working, getting a bunch of stuff ready for this week. So, yeah, we'll be leaving Tuesday morning, heading out to go to Reno. Holding a trailer out there, a trailer that's got optics in it. So we're going to be bringing a bunch of stuff. And even if, let's say, you show up there and you don't want to take something home with you, we'll have the option that you can talk about it there, look at it, hold it. You know, we're going to be bringing lots of new stuff that's just come out this year. Can we talk about some of that? Yeah. New, because I think it's important. I agree. There are a lot of stuff that's going to be new. Yeah.

Some of the Zeiss stuff, you know, they've come up with a new HDX line of binos. Those are awesome. We were just looking at them yesterday. Incredibly affordable, but no joke, clarity of optic. Yeah. I mean, yesterday a guy was looking at him and he's like, wow, no kidding. Like, you know, these are awesome, significant upgrade to what he had. And the price was even a second wow when we told him, you know, because for the quality that you get with that bino, it's pretty awesome. How about the V8 scopes? Yep. We're going to have those too. So we'll have both of those probably the first time you've ever had them in your hands. And there's going to be an even extra HDX binos. There's actually going to be a little bit of a show special on those as well, more so. So they're going to be a 10 power. Hoping to have the 15 powers there. They'll probably have one in the Zeiss booth.

We're hoping to have them there as well to sell. But got a bunch of Swarro stuff. You know, we got the new EL Range 12s that just were announced earlier this week. I held a pair, you know, at that. We had a little shooting event because they unveiled their new rifle scopes, the Z5i line, Z5i Plus or whatever. Z5 Plus I and the non-I. Anyway, there's a whole new lineup and it's that mid-range, kind of that mid-range for Swarro. You're talking, you know, down into the 16, 1700 and to 2400. Yeah. Somewhere in there. Yep. And incredible rifle scopes, you know, with 40 minutes of adjustment on the exterior, two revolutions, 30 millimeter tubes. All of that came out. And while we were down there shooting, they also had the 12s, right? The EL 12s. And it was no joke. You got to look at them, hold them, play with them, you know, test them. All of that was awesome.

And that was the, they had a little contest while they were down there. And somebody they know may have took first. How about that? Have you got a prize for that? Hey. Hey. Well, have you got a prize yet for that? It's coming. It's coming. Yeah. It's six months. One a rifle scope. I think, didn't they say, wasn't it like it was because they were shooting like an antelope target? Is that what it was? Like, that's why he was so tuned in. Okay. That's why he won. It was wild. Okay. So they line us up. And these guys are no joke. Okay. So little do I know. I'm just chasing. You know. And you're bringing down some of the sharpshooters across the West. The guys that are selling the scopes. And, you know, revere themselves as I know what I'm doing on the range. This is my job. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. And I'm just Jason. I like to kill stuff. You know.

That's how I was at that Zeiss thing. We went to this summer, too. How did that go? Same thing, though. I was just shooting guns. And all of a sudden, they're like, oh, this was a competition. No, this is a no joke competition. Yeah. Like, this is what we came for. Yeah. You know, we're going to wipe you in the freaking dirt. You know what I mean? Some people put some things like that on their calendar at the start of the year. Oh, man. Anyway, I'm just like, okay. So, anyway, they get going on this whole competition thing. And it's really good because it makes you use the scope. It makes you dial. It makes you think. You're ranging, dialing, thinking, all of those things. And it's timed. And so, anyway, you're shooting the long-distance target, whatever it is, 400 yards or whatever it was. Well, not super long distance.

But once you hit it, then you rotate, dial down, and you're shooting 100 yards. And you've got playing cards. You know what I mean? Just tiny little playing cards, spades. And anyway, I missed the freaking out because I'm so focused on having all the time in the world on the 100-yarder. You know what I mean? And so, then you've got to go back and shoot it. This is all timed. So, I go back to shoot it. And everybody's mostly just barely making the time within a second or two, three seconds, whatever. And I'm like, how do you miss? Like, who misses? And it's straight up, the only thing I'm doing, I'm swinging before I pull the trigger. I'm swinging to the 100 because this is no joke, the easiest target in the world to hit. I've hit it before I've even pulled the trigger in my mind. Freaking miss it. I don't know. Jank it. Total jank. And then I've got to go back to it, hit it. It's fine.

Nothing illegal about that. It's just eating up time. And then I swing on the 100 and I pull the trigger before I even feel, like, before the gun even stops, I just pull the trigger because you've got to get a hole on paper. Yeah. Before the, and then I'm sitting there and everybody's like, huh. And it's silent. They can't see a hole. They're just like, huh. Wow. Good work, Jason. How many deer have you killed with a gun? You know what I mean? Kind of thing. Don't worry. You'll get it someday. Yeah. Don't worry, Jason. This will get better for you as you practice. And so anyway. So then you walked up there, marched up there. Well, no. I'm just like, whatever. The guy goes down. Everybody's already looking through spotters down there. And they're like, oh, it looks like so-and-so probably won and this and that. And I'm just sitting there silent. And I'm like, I know I didn't miss.

Like, I just know. I just know. Anyway, the guy goes down there, throws it. Here's number six. Yeah. He throws it in the trunk or whatever, the hatchback, whatever he was driving. And he throws it in the trunk, it comes up, and he goes, who's number six? And I'm like, that'd be me. And he goes, dead freaking center. And it is no joke. Look at that. Dead freaking center. And it's just part of the whole gig. Who's the other kid next? Oh, no. Sorry. That would be Kobe. Okay. Little feller. Anyway, good friend of ours. And, of course, awesome guy, supportive. We appreciate his support, too. So, anyway, yeah, I didn't know it was a big deal. Of course, I had to hoot and holler for just a quick second. Now, look at me like they're ready to throw me in the dirt. So, whatever. Good times. Anyway, so. So, yeah, we're going to have. We do have new product coming. Yep. Well, it's here. Well, yeah.

How about the 14th? Coming to Reno. Yep. People, you might have seen them. You know, I mean, we've sold, I don't know how many pairs of those, but we've got them through our waiting list for a while now and got them on the shelf. So, we'll be having those if you want to. So, we're going to have one there for you to look at. We're going to hold one for kind of a display model. So, that way you can have one. And whoever, probably the first person to come up and ask if we have one will get one. It's hard to quantify going back to the 12s a little. I do. Yes, the 14s are huge. And we do have them. And if you want one, call us. And, by the way, we're the best deal out there. But on the 12 EL ranges, people are like, what's the difference between an EL range 12 and an NL 12? And I would say like the comfort light, not the bulk. Quite a bit. Ergonomics is completely different.

But then when you look at the actual dimensions as far as the specifications and the field of view, I would say it's like 20 or 25% difference in field of view, less field of view on the EL 12s. Having said that, I don't think humans could tell the difference in the clarity, quality, light transmission, things like that. What about someone like me? Could I tell the difference? I don't think you can tell the difference. I don't think you can tell the difference. You're saying I'm just an ordinary human. Well, I think you're extraordinary, Mr. Bronson. So no. I think you're extraordinary. Whether you're a bottom of the barrel human or an extraordinary human, you can't tell the difference is what you're saying. I don't think you can tell the difference. There is a difference in size and there's a difference in some of that.

But if you want an EL range finder in a 12, you mount this on the tripod, okay? Yeah. Standard from the factory. If you buy the factory tripod adapter, you're going to be able to put a 12 on a tripod. We all do that. You're going to want to do that. Well, it comes down to personal preference. Jason and I have long said. We have standalone range finders. We like just the binos only. That's just what I like. Good, close family friend, Reed Miller, yesterday was telling me, I like an EL range. I don't want a separate range finder. Wyatt, I don't want a separate range finder. Pollock. I don't want a separate. And Pollock, you seem pretty good at killing stuff. So whatever you're doing is working. I'm saying there's no right or wrong. But partly for me, and I even guide, so it does have benefit to have them all together. It does. At times.

But for me, as much time as we spend glassing, scouting, all of that, we look through my glass. I'm going to say 99% of the time, I don't need my range finder and I'm looking through it. You need it for the 1% or less, right? Yeah. So I don't, I want the comfort. I want all the ergonomic. I want that for me. And they're smaller. They're lighter. I have all those outweigh that benefit for me. And yeah, in the moment of truth, sometimes, oh, you don't have to switch. Usually when you get ready to kill something that's already out of your little pouch, it's laying right there. It might cost you a second or two, three, whatever. But all of the other 99% of the time, when I'm scouting all year long, you don't need a range finder. When you're hunting and you don't have anything you're going to shoot and you're just looking for your animal, you don't need it. So that's just me personally.

Other people have a different take, just like you're saying. Some people like the 10 by 32 EL ranges. Don't you have a pair of them? Yeah. Well, I mean, may or may not. If it's green, I pretty well got it. That's what I switch to. And I think you're the same way. I switch to the 32. I feel guilty at times. And I don't get rid of stuff. I don't. I've got my regular old ELs, and I like taking them when I just archery elk hunt and I'm in thicker stuff. And that's the one thing about buying a quality optic with name brand recognition. We sell it such a deal, you're not going to lose much, if anything, when you go to resell it in a couple years if you want to trade up, trade down, whatever. Change models. Pollock, what were you saying? Tell me again. We breezed over your comment just barely. Oh, no. I just said I switched to the 32s. The 10 by 32. Yeah. Yeah. And how have you liked it?

Tell us a little bit about it. You got the button on both sides. It's awesome. It's awesome because I don't, like Adam was saying, I don't, yes, I glass through them a lot, but I don't glass through them a lot. Like, they're kind of a, and it all comes back to just muscle memory. For me, it's just so much faster. And I can see with both eyes open, having the 10 power. I've just learned that, and that's why I like it. But because I usually use a 12, a 14, something like that to glass with, the 10's just kind of on my chest, and I don't need another big set of vinyls. And that 10 by 42 is a little bit larger, especially than the 32, for sure. So I do like that. You're trying to get the same ergonomics that I have with my 12 Pures by going down to a 10 by 32. Like a rangefinder. More electronic capabilities. Okay.

But, I mean, you know, I just, I'd look, a couple years ago I was in Colorado with my brother, and he'd killed a buck, and he'd hit him and knocked him down, and it was in some thick oak. And he was trying to get a range from him because he had his ballistics built into his handheld rangefinder. And when you're looking for a seven power, trying to get through there, it was hard to pick that deer out. But I'd put my vinyls up and like that. I will admit that. So that's where some of that stuff that I just, I just go with it. Especially like Coos deer. You can't even see them. Yes. You have to find a green rock or a bush that you're hitting. You cannot, I can't see them. Yep. Out there through a seven power monocular. I freely admit it. It just happened to me. Yeah. Yeah.

But we're going to have something to think about with these shows and the show specials is there are some of these products that have gone up in price for 2025. Yeah. It happens every year. Yes. And then people are holding, holding, holding. And I get it. You got the holidays and Christmas season and all of, all the things that are hard on a bank account. But then you do have price increases, inflation, which we've seen a little bit of that. Yeah. So this, the show season, whether it's the sheep show or like say Western Hunt Expo that we're going to be to in a month. Now is the time for you to basically get the 2024 pricing again on those products, on a lot of it. That's kind of what most of it is, is you get that reduced price at not the 2025 pricing just yet. You get the basically the 2024 pricing without going into details and pricing and all that. And so, yeah, it's a good time.

It's a good time to snag some of those if you do have some. And I think part of that is we are taking a double axle trailer full gained. And I hate saying that because you feel like there might be like the old train carrying all the cash to get robbed. I was going to say, Jason, you're telling me. We do ride. We drive by way 50. And he's going to be armed to the hill. With Logan. With Logie Bear. And heaven knows he knows how to use a gun. Right, Logan? Sometimes. We're not going to go through Minersville or that way. So we're going to go out this other way. So we'll probably be saying that way. We're going to go down deeper through Nevada like Tonopop. Yeah. But anyway. But having said all that, not like we have 100 of each and every model. So if you want something, come see us right off the bat. And you'll be able to put it in your carry-on as you go home or whatever. But anyway.

Like, they've decided to. They had to come up with a list of shows we need to drop and shows we need to keep. And all of them have said, like, Western Hunt is one they are keeping.

It's, like, at the top of the list as far as hunting. And we have the best booth space there. We do. In the whitetail world, it's called a pinch point. Good point. Hey, I like it. I like it. We're in the saddle. There's some scrapes right down the line. It's right on the hard 90, man. It is. It is. Lots of rutting. Well. I don't know. It's cruising. It's cruising. It is. He texted me, but I had something I couldn't ignore for a minute, so I couldn't tell you all. We didn't know what was going on with both of you, but there's just this weird feeling. You're just not supposed to eat anchovies on your pizza in December. It's the first question. For the first time you've ever eaten at a certain restaurant. It's the first question everyone asks. He's blaming Devin, but Devin ate the same thing. So, yeah. First question. Yesterday, Wyatt very much has a loop. When you go to lunches and lunches, there's about three to six places. Well, there's seven days in a week, and one night he might. I don't want to violate his trust and tell the loop. I don't think we should. I don't, but it may need to intercept him and say, hey, Wyatt. I know Wednesdays you're here. Wyatt, you're a good guy. It may involve ribs at Lynn's at least twice a week.

But, well, yesterday, me and Devin have been talking about trying to get him off his loop, at least wants to take him somewhere, and I was busy checking stuff yesterday, so I didn't go with him. But Devin took him to a new place. It sounds like he may have got into some new forage, got into local weed a little bit, made him sick, and got him off his loop. He's definitely down and out. You're going to see that. That guy's not going to trust us ever again. Ever. No. And Devin ate the exact same food, same place, and it's fine. So it had to be something he got once Devin. Devin actually drove him home last night because his truck was getting worked on. The dinner that he had last night was – Or the ribs that were two weeks old and he forgot he had them. That's right. They were under a heat lamp the last 14 years. So anyway, he dropped him off, and needless to say, he'll be fine.

Wyatt, because of his loops, we know – He needs a good clean out. He'll be fine. When it's 8 o'clock in the morning and Wyatt's not here, and we know – But, yeah, no, come there. We've got – we'll have also some of the new – those element range finders that we've been talking about, some of the new SIG image stabilizing binos. Those SIG image stabilizers are no joke. We're going to have Vortex Leica, Kawa's. I mean, geez, where does it end? Of course, Zyce, we've talked about. Swarro. Yep. Am I missing something? Guns. Pulsar. A little bit of Pulsar. And she's – you know, you've got – It was before 6.5 PRC was invented. It was a big deal. You know? The rifle that won the West. The rifle. It's just a little bit faster. The rifle that wounded the West. It shoots the exact same. It straight up wounded the West. She's never ruined anything with it. She'll come – I'll get her in on the podcast. She'll get PO'd. You don't want to get her mad. It's the one gun. She's killed antelope, deer, whatever. That's the one gun. It does not maintain value. She tells me. She says, I don't ever get rid of that gun. So if they've got confidence in a gun, you kind of want to keep it around. But anyway, needless to say, I had the – Jason caught me into making it into an extreme Kyle Wolf hunting gun.

It's true. And it would be amazing. Yes. Right. So – But you did that, and it wasn't three minutes later. Well, I just decided – It's on Craigslist. It's not on Craigslist. But I just decided, you know, I don't have time. Most of the time to hunt predators for us is in the winter months, frankly, because – And while we're hunting big game or something. Well, we're here. We're sitting in the office. So it's hard. It's the same reason I don't trap. I haven't trapped for a long time. We have no life. Because we're dealing with Western big game. 48-hour trap laws, and who can do that when we're so busy like we are in the winter? So, right. For all you people, you law dogs that are thinking you're going to catch me. Law dogs. You know, bobcat trap. I don't even trap. So take the tracker off my truck and move on to somebody else. Okay. Okay. Me, too. Take mine off, too. Jason, too.

That's right. Don't do anything wrong. You're wasting your time and the taxpayer's money. But anyway. Although, Logie Bear – I would like it off my truck as well. Yeah. While we're throwing out requests. He's been out and about doing a few janky things. Has he? Name one. I don't think – I can't think – Name five. Probably lost a wrapper out of your truck or something. I don't know. Never. No, but I just – I did – I didn't – so I didn't shoot anything with a Creedmoor, Carter. But I've had other people ask me since you'd like to tease me about it. Well, I assume they're onto something. I've got bigger things to kill with that thing. If I would have shot a coos deer with it, you would have said, yeah, that's the only thing you could kill with it. So I'm smarter than to just – it's like I don't want to shoot a coyote with it.

Because you're like, oh, you've – basically says you've got to kill coyotes with it. That's all it's good for. You should truly use it. You should truly use it. Trust me. I've got plans and I'm not – until it happens, nobody's going to know. And I'll have proof. It'll be on video. If I have to have Logan there documenting it with a seamless video stream of no splicing, it will occur. I want to see it. I want to see it on live, Instagram live. Fine. That means I have to hunt with their cell service. Could you imagine live on a Needmore? Let's do it. Wound. Try it again. Wound. Hit it again. Hit it again. He's still up. Hit it again. It's like shut it off.

Exactly. It could happen. We're going to finish the job. Get it. Turn it off. Give me the rum. Yeah. Give me the rum. Well, it seems like you did talk about the rum yesterday, Bronson. Did I? Yeah. Well, I'm just daydreaming. You bought a new rum. The shock and awe. I got a new drum a few months ago. The shock and awe. And I'm just – Well, they've got this new 7mm backcountry and we keep saying, well, they're just trying to get to the rum. Right, Pollock? Yeah, exactly. The shock and awe. Break its back when you hit them in the chest. Yep. Type rum. Exactly. I'm not – I already have a rum. But, you know – We never can have too many. Exactly. So, I'm just thinking. I don't – I only have 130 cow. I like 7s and 6.5s. Oh, they are nice. I got a lot of – I like the 7.5s. Don't – I've said this too many times, but I'll say it again. I don't hunt elk with a rifle very often.

Most of the time I hunt with a bow. So, when hunting elk or even larger game than that, I have a rum for it. And I've killed moose. I've killed stuff like that with a rum. Killed elk. But I just don't need it. I don't need it. There's a lot of benefits shooting slightly. There is. And suppressed. We're kind of – it's kind of fun too. But let's talk about – let's talk about this little feller. I had a fun time. Down there, I think I looked over at 45 bucks. I was hunting for four days. So, 15. With your hoid or what were you hunting? A 6.5 hoid. I like it. I like it. Those are the kind I like. They also call them longbows. I like that. I like it. Anyway, but no, fun little animals to hunt. I like coos deer. I like to glass. If you're from southern Utah, obviously a lot of mule deer. We sit behind glass.

You sit behind glass a ton hunting sheep, which I do a lot of with hunters and stuff like that. That's just how you hunt them. That's how you hunt them. And you'd break it apart and you'd look it over sometimes for four hours in the same spot. And you looked at everything 10 times. And all of a sudden there's one standing there. Because literally, they can be bedded. It doesn't matter where they're at. They're just little. They're two and a half times the size of a jackrabbit. Well, and the brush up there and stuff is, I mean, the grass, they had a big monsoon season. I mean, there's a lot of grass down there. Anyway, long story short, they can hide really well. They're fun to hunt. And finally found a good deer. He was tending one doe. Really wasn't any sign of rut at all. Wow. Nope. Saw little bucks kind of chasing, which is what you'd expect in, you know, first.

But I think it's just the warm. It was like 65, 70 degrees. Hot. Nice. I mean, I got sunburned a little bit. So, anyway. Finally, what was it, Tuesday? Found him Tuesday morning. I'd been there since. I think I glassed him up at about 10 o'clock. Killed him about 1020. Made a little stalk of 500 yards. What I really liked about the story was it was like you were laying under the same exact tree as before. Like it's just kind of those same areas. Last year. Yeah. That's really cool. Two deer. In back-to-back gears. And shot them from under the same tree. How cool is that? Was your brass laying there? Well, I picked them up, but I actually thought about that. Yeah. It's really cool. Anyway, it's kind of crazy. I mean, literally the deer were dead 200 yards apart. Wow. I just don't understand. It's weird. That's what happens all the time is we'll pull big deer, mule deer, whatever it is.

Seems like sometimes those same areas. Paul, like you on elk and some of your scouting and stuff reveals the same areas are consistently good no matter what. There's even – Not all units. Sheep are a lot more nomadic. Yeah. But in our desert sheep world, we have a couple places that we'll always check first or that we check more often throughout a hunt knowing something's going to show up here. You know, you've got some ewes and a big ram will show up. And boom, there is a kill one. And I don't know how many little secret spots we have like that of sheep that this is going to be good for a big ram. He's going to – we're going to kill them. We've got a hunter with enough time or, you know, oftentimes that's maybe a resident of Utah where you can go hunt for a few days, go home, come back for three or four days, come back if you need to or put it off.

So, anyway, but had a fun hunt, about a 410-yard shot. And anyway, had a slight wind. It actually drifted on me. I didn't hold the wind. No kidding, yeah. But it hit him just in front of the shoulder. You can kind of see it there. Yeah. Right where the shoulder meets the neck. Yeah. But it dropped him in his tracks. I mean, there was a slight right to lefter. But – And so in the wind, obviously that was the wind. Well, I'm blaming it on that. How about that? The wind was coming from that direction. I'm with you. But anyway, it was fun. And – But yeah, it set off my eyes. Those little farts, something about them. They set me off. I don't – I'm not allergic to many animals, but those get me. Oh. Sneezing like son of a bee. You need a good clean out. What are we – the Navage clean out? Yeah.

Well, and I got back to the truck and I, you know, have all my – you know, because when you – you know, when you're starting to – you know, you're starting to want to go make your way back to civilization, move with other people. You don't want to wear camo through – whether you're going through airports or through – you're going through – driving through the real world again. You're like, who's this guy pulling into McDonald's walking in in full camo? You know? No. So – but I took everything off, threw it in the back of – back and wore real good clothes because I didn't want it in my cab with me driving. I was in a bad way. Cool little buck though. So bad I walked through the office yesterday and Devin looked at me and says – You look like crap. Yeah. You get me asleep. You've been crying? You get me asleep. You and Becky all right? Awesome buck though. Heavy little sucker.

Looks like a muley. It is awesome. Well, I saw that. It was the first thing I saw about him. I saw it. He forked in the back and then I could see he kind of – I mean, Wyatt wouldn't give him his maybe squirreble, but – what is – what is – He doesn't know everything. He doesn't. He's trying to learn how to score peccary. Yes. He doesn't know. Well, there's people that are really excited about it. Guys here in Cedar City are losing their mind. Well, somebody's got to have a world record. Well. The first entry. I want to be that guy. Yeah. I told him, let's put on like courses. It's pretty easy to – Scoring courses. How do you field judge one? I'd like to know. Huh? I don't know. I'd like to know. And then what are the rules? Like if you baited one, is that bad? Fair chase. Is it not fair chase? I mean, I think if you kill one of those, however you did it, you were a solid citizen.

How many of you killed one and then if you actually ate the whole thing? Oh. You're even a bigger man. No. You're going to have good clean out. Wyatt. I mean, you're going to be sicker than dog. Let's ask Wyatt if it didn't. First day back when Wyatt's back. Hopefully that's tomorrow. Want some colored peccary? Let's ask him if he wants a Avelina steak. You want a Avelina steak? I had a jackrabbit. I remember. Right? It was no joke. We're driving along in Nevada, and I was back in the guiding days anyway, and this jackrabbit went from standing still. Okay, and it was a 2007 three-quarter ton. So it was, you know, up high, the 6-0 motor. Anyway, it was up high, high hood, high kind of a hood. Jackrabbit went down straight up, and I'm doing like 55, and hit the center of my windshield. What? Straight up. Ask Bill Goff. He was in the passenger seat. That would have been a breeder. Build off in California. Straight up. That was a breeder buck. Oh. That thing with the jump. Dude. He could out jump Kyle. Anything. Those genetics are gone. That's a 48-inch vertical. Jackalope came to mind. I mean, it hit the center of my windshield, and we were like, what? Like, normally, you're just like. It's like an owl or something. Yeah. I might do that, but not a jumper.

I mean, geez. You had a jumper. Jumper. Straight up. I mean, not like running from the truck or anything. I was just going to center it. No problem. I'll take his head off with the diff. It went straight up, dead center windshield. I was like. Did you have green outside, or did it just do a dust spot on your windshield? Just a big dust spot. Like those owls. Like a dust bunny. And I mean, it plastered the whole window. I had to turn off. That's what happens when you hit an owl. Yeah. Or a bird. Yes. It just puts that dusty grease stuff all over. Okay. Well. Okay. Got an owl story. Kip threw his whole windshield out with an owl. Yeah. Wayne had it. Back when I was getting married. All that kind of stuff. Wayne had an encounter with an owl this year. Anyway.
