He would hunt it every year and he would drive through Prescott, Arizona. And he liked it in Prescott when he would pass through, probably stop at McDonald’s or whatever. And one year he is like, Hey, we’re moving to Arizona. And obviously I did not like it being 11 years old, leaving all my friends. But now I, I love it. I mean, not in just now, but in the past 10 years I just, I just love it in Arizona. Wouldn’t want any, any other way.

It’s little bit tougher in Arizona when it’s strictly a draw. Nevada has some, you know, whether it be the outfitter draw or landowner tags, you know, ways to, I, I guess, bolster clients, you know, for an outfitter versus just strictly draw hunters. Only in Arizona.

So from then, from right then I knew it was, it was 13 game off. I only put in 13 D archery. And I called Greg like immediately too. Like, look, I have this tag. And he was kind of like, he didn’t seem that excited, but little did I know that he just drew the tag and he’s like probably in a hospital bed. So I don’t know. Was he probably just passed out? My dad shows up and we’re just hanging around camp, I think, making a plan. I’m like, well, there’s a couple other bucks. And we ended up killing both these deer later on.

So I pull up on this ridge and it’s probably five 30 and I get out and where this buck was, there’s a huge ramp and you get a glass across like two miles of sage. And then it starts getting the broken up juniper country. So I pull up my doctors and everyone has their big eyes, and it’s just me and my dad and Mark, or Mark, my dad and I, and as soon as I sit down within a minute, I glass up this buck.

But he went behind a tree. We don’t know which tree he went behind, and we don’t know if he could see you or not.

I, I, I went a hundred yards probably and was like, put the boots back on, started crushing ground again. And I’m, and I’m threading the wind a little bit too, because I know where the deer’s at now, like the general area and the wind is kind of iffy those canyons.

So I’m thinking, I’m like, well, I could shave off a few more yards right here, but I’m in the open. And he, he stopped feeding and just started scanning. And he scanned, right? Like straight to me and just locked onto me.
