In this episode, we welcome a special guest, Adam Bronson’s son, Ty, who joins us to share the story of his British Columbia Stone sheep hunt from this past summer. Adam and Ty were dropped into a remote location with their guide, where they navigated a huge landscape and unpredictable weather, to hunt sheep.

Hey everybody. Jason Carter. Adam Bronson coming at you from Southern Utah. It’s a rainy southern Utah. Bronson, it’s been dry for how many? It feels like decades. Let’s just call it. But I would say, I would say like three months. We haven’t had a single rainstorm.

Yeah. Since early June. We haven’t had anything. June,

July. Oh, how about that Dude, I can count. Yeah.

Anyway, Jason counts on his fingers too, just so everybody

Knows it’s not just me. So let’s see. Cash and Logan have a little banner going on before we got started here.

Cass is just jealous because I can actually count. Logan

Had to count how many people were at the table and luckily it was no more than a

Handful. I would just like to know what you guys know without Chet GPT. What do you know? I

Know almost everything.

So we’ve been talking, Janet and I have been talking about this. I don’t know why it’s off the subject nursing program. Okay. Really? And they’re getting through it with Chad GPT. Okay. And I’m just saying in the future, you’re gonna get operated on by doctors, people medical, the medical field is gonna prescribe and do surgeries per big pharma. Let,

Let’s don’t you think so if you see Yeah, yeah. And we’re making fun slightly. But if you’re in surgery and you got a guy with his air pods in and they’re directing now, grab the or aorta Exactly’s. Just narrating in his head exactly how to do headphones with some air pods. Chat.

GPT How to put a stent. Yeah. You know? Okay. I mean, okay. Hit the head. Gonna be going up through the groin. I don’t know. I’m just saying things are gonna be changed. And Janet and I were talking, it’s like this natural medicine. There’s gonna be a, it’s gonna be a huge thing. Oh yeah. Yeah. It’s a big deal. So any people that are loie Bear’s age or cash. I mean, if you’re gonna go out and medicine, go out and then like natural

Stuff, like urban stuff,

There’s gonna be a movement because nobody’s

Gonna trust modern doctors.

Nobody trusts the government to begin with. Yeah. Big pharma, whatever. It’s just that whole thing of the medicine field’s all messed up. Yeah. But what do we know, right? Who’s in the medical field here, right?

Yeah. Not me. Yeah, it state the holiday and express what? Once

What. Okay. So anyway, that

Gold commercial,

I don’t know why we got, it’s just, those are just ramblings. Family ramblings. All right, moving on. Just wanna say hey to, oh, fierce Firearms. What a, what a great farm they make. We appreciate them and their support here at Epic Outdoors. There are title sponsor and for good reason. We all use their freaking rifles and they’re amazing.

You guys put one you used this weekend, didn’t your family? Yeah. Like the first, that’s right. We’ve all been had bohan. I know we had an

Early rifle. I should have Sean in here. We got a special guest. Ty Ronson. How you doing Ty? Doing great. Yeah. Good to be here. Anyway. Any, if there’s any single girls out there that are, you know, wanting to go out on a date, why we might even, we might even fund you. We’ll give you two for if sponsorship. I like it. Yeah,

Do it. There’s two of them in here.

Oh, well I don’t,

That’s never been offered

To me. No

Gen. You’re, you’re just a,

Cause your tastes and women are slightly odd. That’s the mine job.

That’s the gem. Jeez. Say we, we got their digits.

We whatever tie you guys snap’s a big thing, right? Yeah. Do you ever have like your, it’s the air, like your, I dunno, Bluetooth and wifi. So when you walk by you guys, you can like snap ’em without knowing the number or whatever. Like things like that. Is that a

Thing? Is like a it is

A thing? I don’t

Think so. Is that like a walk by airdrop? Yes.

Well, you can tell,

Never heard this

Touch at the end of your phones together now. Well that I know on the airdrop. But you Snapchat has that.

No. Jason, I heard there was Jason.

There was, let’s stay in our lane. Let’s stay outta the millennial world or Gen Z. What are these guys? We’ve already had the discussion. Nevermind. Don’t get into that. Nope. Cash is born on

The, I know this anytime. Rob, bro. Bronson, maybe you know this. Anytime Dad’s try to get involved in the dating scene, like they’ll do the opposite. The exact opposite.

Has dad, has dad tried to interject anything in the last little bit? Sometimes. No, not really. Yeah, well I’ve tried to make some suggestions. Strong full suggestions. Just runs. Runs the other way. Yeah.

He’ll just leave him

On. Yeah. Dad for the rest. Don’t worry For the rest of

Forever. Yeah, I’ll leave her unread. You bring her up again. Yeah. Anyway. Whatever that means. I don’t even know what that means, but it’s a thing. I know you guys are communicating via Unreads something. How does that work? I

Don’t know.

Unread. You left me unread. Unread.

I know. Just means leave me alone. You can’t just say, nah, I don’t think it’s gonna work. You just don’t text the bat. You can’t say that. You just leave it unread. Yeah. Yeah. Is that a thing? You

Just don’t text them back? Yeah. I didn’t

Have to deal with all this stuff, so I don’t know any of it. It’s

Pretty, it’s pretty interesting. Is it beyond

You? Jason and I didn’t have self. Oh it, we didn’t have, I have mine tied up at 17. We didn’t have flip phones.

Okay. Imagine trying to date.

We left without,

Without a flip phone or without any phone at all. We

Would go to their apartment and they weren’t there. You’d have to write a sticky note on their door and say, Hey, stop by to see ya. That’s how you communicated.

We drug me Adam,

You

Talk to girls in person.

That’s

How in person

On a hard line that at any time one of their roommates could pick up and try to make a call at the same time while you’re talking to your wife to be girlfriend.

Yes. Because

It was a hotline. Anybody now? Well, yeah. Or your parents.

That’s concerning. There was a lot of things that were concerning of our age. Yeah, it’s amazing. I mean that we’re here. It’s amazing. You’re alive. Amazing. We’re normal. Yeah, right. Well, yeah. Survive

Stronger for us. Normal as you

Could be. So anyway, if there are any single gals, I mean Logan, don’t hit us up on dns ’cause then Logan gets ’em and he will block Ty from really getting the

Date. I’m not gonna let Ty log into the Epic account. Hit up epic directly.

Try, try email, write a letter, send it to PO Box 2 9 7 8.

Yeah. Dude name

Put Epic Doors care of Ty Broon.

Yeah. And your, and your contact information. I see. But, but back to

Send it three by five photo. Alright. Alright.

But back to your weekend, you actually put a gun to use.

Yeah, we actually did. We put the fierce. So this is bad. Do I admit it on the, on the podcast? I don’t know

What, why not? Don’t

Ever shot the gun for a whole year since last year when we put it away. Yeah. We pull it out. This is the way, this is how confident I am in this rifle. It’s a, it’s a fierce rifle. It seven M-M-P-R-C. We’re shooting the 1 75 ELDX. It’s a little slower, Bronson, you know, it doesn’t matter. Yeah, we’ve talked sometimes 200 feet slower than the exact same box. We’ll get outta John’s gun and these are twins. Yeah. You know what I mean? So anyway, it’s a little slower. It doesn’t blow up or anything. I know the ELDX guys have said well on, on a souped up version, you know, it could have a weight retention issue. I, I don’t have that. Don’t

I haven’t have seen that on any money. No, nothing. Six fives and

Shooting elk deer seventh an an amazing. It’s an amazing combination. Anyway, so we grab the gun and we take it out and Sean’s got an antelope. There

It is. Antelope. So maybe that’s part of the reason you’re like, eh, it’s not, we’re not taking you

Two respect for an antelope

Maybe than a mule. There may have a mul. Hey, chance all the game, if you went on a mule deer hunt first year, do you think you’d have shot the gun before you went?

I would’ve.

I do.

But I have a lot of confidence in this rifle.

You did. But you’re gonna just double check if it’s a mule deer.

Yeah. Anyway, long story short, ’cause I’m not, I probably want to get this story outta Sean direct. It was awesome. Performed flawlessly. Bullet was on the other side of the, right inside the scan on the other side of the antelope. 550 yards. And you know, there was a little bit of shrapnel but it had a lot of weight retention. Yeah. I showed you guys a picture of the bullet. I think I did the little sneak like, you know, like we get bloody right? Yeah.

Remember?

Yeah. Teased you a little bit. What do you mean

On your boots by the

Way? Blood on your boots? You mean like a day later you’re like, I feel like

I, yeah. Is that, I don’t know if that’s, I don’t if you able

To say really bad, but

I mean I kinda like, if I don’t know your girlfriend’s, like I’ll send you a picture of my face, you know, like Logan ties situation. Like I don’t even know what you look like, but I’ll send you a picture of my face and then you can, you can see it’s been like a day and a half and you’re waiting and waiting and waiting. Top corner their eye. It’s the same feeling when someone hits your group chat. It’s like bloody boots or whatever. They don’t send a picture for a day and a half

Making you beg for it. Yeah. Yeah. So anyway, I sent you guys the bullet and then, you know, of course it’s archery season for most everything. It’s August. Yeah. Shouldn’t be shooting a rifle unless it’s a coyotes or something like that. Anyway, it was great rifle hunts going on over there. Antelope rut like crazy. Had a great experience. The fierce performed flawlessly. Crushed him. We’ll be showing that on a YouTube episode in the future. Got got a lot of good video Logan, by the way. Awesome. And anyway, where does that bring us? Okay, so that’s fierce. Appreciate you

RNA day.

Thanks. Sure. Yeah. Horne day flawless. Awesome. A lot of good ammo outta there. I’m not a really an a boxed ammo kind of guy. I reload. I have no problems reloading. We did

Too. But COVID kind of is when it changed for me. When you couldn’t, it was easier to find. It was hard. But it was easier to find factory AML than components first. Before the components were. Yes. And even today it’s still for certain powders still hard to get components. We got enough. I mean, I got enough for the rest of my life, but I want more. Yes.

I know guys that were stripping factory bullets down ’cause they couldn’t find the bullet or the powder or nothing.

They

Were tripping ’em down and cutting powder back. Putting

Different, using

Pulling bullets. Yeah. Pulling and dumping powder and putting your, pulling

Bullets pull, dumping the powder and then putting their own own powder and everything. Yeah.

Okay. I don’t know, it’s crazy. That would make me a little nervous. Yeah. Bullet pullers change things.

Sometimes they would

Use that bullet scar

’em up, but I mean

Whatever. But

Whatever. They’d rerun their brass though. I mean

I know this, all that. Yeah. Anyway, I’m moving on. I’m not gonna,

But yeah, you’re right. We, I didn’t hardly ever do that with my big game rifles six, eight years ago. Right. I think COVID, we had a lot really kind of changed it. And I, whether, you know, we, we start buying in lots, you know, with 200 a pop. So lot more, at least there’s more uniformity in that lot than there is just buying a box or two at a time. Every time you need a one at Walmart or another place. You know. And then they’re all just slightly different outta different batches and things like that. And some of the guns we’ve all shot ’em are like, that’s good enough for me. I don’t need to go through all the load development to try to tighten up my group from No this, you know, a two inch group. Well we’re not field 500 yards. We’re hunting field ERs. Not hunting field mice. That’s right.

You know, so we went, so the one bummer is, I’m thinking part of this, we haven’t shot it for a year and this was a, just a spur of the moment trips. So we just didn’t have time. Take two boxes of ammo. Right. Because you know, it might take a box to shoot it in. I don’t know. You never know. Right. If you fell last, last go around whatever, go to the truck, Ash grabs a box comes down anyway. Do our thing. Dead animal, get back, load up, come home, everything’s great. Come home. I’m like, you know, there was two boxes of ammo that other boxes

Out in the brush somewhere. No way. Yeah, it’s,

Do you know

Where? Yeah. You know, plus or minus. Yeah.

It was a four hour drive. You know what I mean? And so it’s just like kind of a bummer. But I am, I am gonna go get it. I’m gonna retrieve it. But then there again how much cold? Hot cold hot rain snow. Well what, what rust? Yeah, I, I

Mean there’s not rust it, but it gets that just green copper. It does

Copper. Yeah. Brass. Brass colors a little bit, you know, whatever. So anyway. Yeah. Somebody finds a box of 20 out there. The ELDX 1 75 grain seven M-M-P-R-C,

Jake, Jason, it’s great stuff. Make it worth your time.

It’s great stuff. But it matches the lot. It does. And that’s, it’s more than just a box of ammo. It’s a

Box. It matches the other night in the

Right lot. But anyway, whatever. Alright, so off we go. Kind of fun. It’s a fun time of year. We’ve got a lot going on. We’ve been archery hunting. Ty, you’ve been arche hunt. We’ve been arche hunt. Adam’s been archery hunt. We’ve had a lot going on. Of course you guys also went to Canada and we’d love to get that story as well. And cash. You’ve been crushing it.

Well other people have. I’ve been helping them.

Yeah. Well that’s, I haven’t killed anything but helped on a one. That was pretty fun.

Pretty awesome. Yeah. Well, let’s see. Ty, you’re, you’re quiet. Of course. You can’t get an edge a word in edgewise without, and I Do you get, do you get a lot of words in at home? No.

Come on.

He rides you pretty good. Yeah. Oh

No. Especially

Still living at home. Just got the reins of the house. You know, it’s, it’s just that fine balance of, let’s see, rents. What, how much is an average rent right now? 1500 bucks.

Is it? It depends on,

There is a room. You

Have a

500. Would you like to live a, you

Got a

Room open enough, but that’s fuck’s got a spot.

Are you 500 a room, Logan? About? Yeah. Yeah. So, oh, a room.

But I mean talking but to have a house or, or you know,

Like apartment or two or three dudes. Yeah. You’re

Versus having dad ride you a little bit. Yeah. You know, it’s kind of worth, it’s kind of worth it. Right.

For right now. It’s easy man. Especially

If your, your AirPods are in. Yep. Mom gets, he’s riding you, you don’t hear much. Mom gets the groceries and Helpsss take care. The gas money, that’s stuff just happens, right? Food just appears on the table. The fridge

Is always

Stocked. Yeah. Fridge is stocked. There’s nothing wrong with that. So anyway, you guys had a hunt. Maybe let’s dive into that ’cause it’s kind of the first time of the year. Pretty awesome experience. Maybe bring us up to speed of how you got to that point, Adam.

Yeah, this was a, a kind of a, well it was a last minute thing. I mean it really was mid midsummer and wasn’t planning on anything. You know, Todd was gonna be coming home this summer. We didn’t plan any family vacations. We didn’t, you know, I thought about maybe doing like a drop off moose hunt or something up north in September. Which, you know, we all know there’s everything in the world’s going on in September. Yeah. Like it’s, you’re giving up a lot. If you go up there in September, even deer, elk, deer and elk guiding sheep or whatever. So he, you said, no, no, I just, I just wanna get home, you know, get my meet buddies do, you know, get back in the flow, golf, you know, be buddies, friends, family, whatever. So, but then this opportunity kind of came up. It’s a place that I’d been to 11 years ago and I’d kind of stayed.

I cannot believe it’s been that long.

2014. Yeah. We’re old and

Not me. I feel young as ever. Broken ribs all,

You’re like 11 months, aren’t you?

Like I can’t even laugh right now. Yeah.

That might be another story we need to tell today. Yeah. But just to stay in touch with this outfit, you know, small one, northern BC and you know, more once you go and have a great experience somewhere, when I say stay in touch, that’s all it is. Hey, how you doing on your sheet punts, whatever. And you know, things had kind of slowed down. COVID put it on hold for a bit and then afterwards kind of, you know, there’s some possibilities of it selling and things like that. And they don’t get many tags. So I just always said, Hey, if something you won’t take sheep Hunter again, let me know. And actually called me last year. But I had, I had a hunt in the Northwest Territories last year that I had won three years prior to our Utah Sheet bank, which I’ve talked about a million times. So I couldn’t go do it last year. And then this year I didn’t, I didn’t really call. ’cause like if you call and they say yeah and the come

Up opportunity’s there

Now you’re like, you gotta go. You have to take it. Because I called them. Yeah. So I,

So if the price is reasonable at all, yeah. What are you gonna say? Well, why would you call Adam ’em if you’re not

Really serious? Yeah, exactly. So, so I, I didn’t, you know, but, but I did last year and so I know I got hit up this year and yeah, there was a, a little bit of a change in who’s gonna administer run the hunts there. They found somebody else new to run it. And I said, well let me, let me check him out a little bit. And,

And I think part of this was offered to you, A they know you B you can roll with it a little bit. Yeah. C it’s not super refined ’cause it’s changing hands, but it’s not the actual hunt and the participation and who’s doing it. Gotta have somebody that’s kind of knows the game

And I’ve been there. So it’s like there’s that. Yeah. They, they know. They know. I know that. So anyway, ended up talking to this new guy, Adam Tel. He’s great. He’s, you know, got a, he is an operation in Saskatchewan for black bear and white tail and then guides for several different outfitters for doll in the Yukon. And had a lot of experience. Talk to some of my past guides up there. And they, they knew him, had spoke very highly of ’em. So I started turning gears and I ended up bringing it up to Thai. And I mean, I don’t know what any other 20-year-old kid that loves to hunting, loves to hunt is gonna say when their dad says, Hey, I, I might have an opportunity to go hunt stone sheep here for you in, in, you know, a month. How does that sound? I mean, what are they gonna say? Oh yeah. When do we leave? That’s what they’re gonna say.

That’s what they’re gonna

Say. Right. It’s

Like and they’re young enough that it doesn’t, it’s not like they need a workout program. No,

Exactly.

They get pretty well if you can mentally make it, you can

Make it pretty much Yeah. They’re running on just

Of course I heard that it gets, it’s easier the older you get. Yeah, I’ve heard that. Yep. You agree accordingly. Is he told you that?

Hey, I heard it from him.

I’ve watched and saw differently, but Adam, Don and I talk fairly regular. We, our offices are six inches apart. The width of a wall. Okay. Yeah. Alright.

So yeah, we had a quick little meeting. I, I, I did sleep on it. Talked to Becky about it. But I just weighing everything out, this is kind of one of the things I’ve, you know, done, Ty, I did a sheet punt three years ago, kind of a similar nature. You might’ve said, well it’s premature to go sheep hunt with your son when he is 17, 18 years old. But hey, I, I’m getting older. Prices are going up and there’s also a period in, in these young people’s life as they get into college and then maybe get married and then they just have a little bit more, there’s more obligations.

There’s, there’s a decade of, of I’m getting through school, I’ve got a young family, whatever. Yeah.

Just, just all of that. That gets a little bit more awkward. And then, like I said, prices, prices are going up. They’ve gone up considerably. So, you know,

Ty’s your only boy lucky.

I only have a son. Son. Yeah, I’ve said that Jason. Yeah. You know, I have my daughters hunt. They like to go with me, but I don’t, I haven’t taken on sheet punt yet. And so I don’t have to worry about sun. You know, B, C and D saying, well, ah, you took Kim, when’s my turn? You know, that’s a natural. Yeah, it’s natural.

Stone, stone, stone, stone

Problem. Yeah. Yeah. Pretty soon. You know, these are problems pretty soon. I don’t own anything and you know, I live in a van down by the river.

You do have nothing but memories. That’s

Right. So we had anyway, talked about it. Price was, price was what I felt was really, really reasonable for it was, you know, we’re like 30 or 40 days before the hunt, so alright, let’s do it. And you know, fortunately I’d been kind of working out, but not, not like sheep hunting, working out. But you know, what are you laughing at?

Just funny. We’re gonna let you talk in a minute. It

Goes back to the workout thing. You had a 20-year-old. They’re like, what’s that? Oh, I grab a, I grab a pup and I go look for deer.

Remember you were saying it was back in the day, it was like two or three days and your legs are hard again. Yeah. That

Was when I was maybe 29 or 34 Cash’s age or Logan’s or whatever. Where wasn’t that hard. A couple of hikes. Literally. Literally.

Oh, we remember we went 20 mile. Remember the Escali trip? We did. I don’t, we did one thing taking thing, show cameras in and out.

We didn’t, we didn’t do one thing. No, we just went, what was that, 2008,

What three miles up the river? Seven, eight. And then, yeah, I don’t call it 15 to 20 by the time you’re in and around and up and down and back to the

River. Yeah. And about died in the, in the heat. ’cause there was no water. But anyway, it was, yeah, I know we didn’t, it was June and we didn’t prepare for that. No, but I mean, no, that was those days. But anyway, so I, I ramped it up and, you know, knew that that would be the only thing that I needed to personally do. But anyway, so yeah, off we went. We, the goal was to go up there because this was kind of a thrown together deal. They had one tag that they were gonna offer this year and we were taking it. They wanted to go in three or four days earlier because you know, this guy at Adam, he, he’d committed to come do that and then some moose hunts there later in September. But after the sheep hunt, he was gonna go guide a full season for another prominent outfitter up there, which means 6, 6, 7 weeks maybe of sheep hunts.

You know, five, five or six, I dunno, four or five sheep hunts after this. So he wanted to get in there, you know, early opening day in both Yukon and BC is August 1st. So if we can get in early, hopefully find a ram, kill it be done, then he could move on to, you know, everything else. So that was the plan. So, you know, it’s really amazing how fast when you have a late July hunt summer’s over really fast. When you, when you leave July 25th or sixth, whatever it is to get up there, it’s, it summer’s over the training parts over and all that. We got up there, had great weather, I guess we got dropped off what flew in four days early. And the next morning we, we walked high, we, we loaded up a little skiff that fired up, you know, you did drop you off on a, on a lake somewhere that’s got a little, you know, place a cabin or something like that in a boat that probably haven’t them to start in five plus years. Who knows how long. And you find out if the gas is gonna fire up. Really? You take a fresh fiber in there with

It. Did they have it dried it out or do you think just stable,

Flipped over stable or something like that? Flipped over and then, and then put the, you know, little 15 horse outboard, put it in the shed, you know, so it’s just in there. Got destroyed by porcupines, but I mean they, they chewed through the gas hose, like I don’t know how it wasn’t leaking. So anyway, that was one

Miracle.

Yeah. You know those little holes that runs down to the, you guys are

MacGyver and things or getting,

You have to up there man. But anyway, so I guess so then spent the night there in that little cabin. Went down and started hiking. We knew we had a big, you know, big hike that day. They, they, you know, Adam had taken a couple flights once in June kind of when winter was really, really breaking just to get an overall feel. And then kind of had a real rough windy flight a few days before we got there and didn’t see any sheep that flight. It was just a bad, it was a bad conditions, but he’s like, Hey, I’m going a few days before you guys get there. But that was it. So he is like, well I just figured we’d start, you know, kindly area where you guys hunted last time. That sound good? I’m like, yeah, I guess so. It worked good last time.

I, what are you get to say? Yeah, we’re here to hunt sheep and anyway, I don’t know Ty maybe I’ll ask you just some get a chance to say something, but you’ve been up there before to the Yukon. Well what do you, when you get dropped off a place like that? Like what do you like I always think back to like what we have in Utah, like our mountains. But I, our mountains are not all of a sudden, not even mountains when you get dropped off that remote and it’s so endless. What do you, what do you think?

Hours in a plane? Yeah.

And it’s just endless range

After range. After range after range.

Yeah. I feel pretty small. Yeah. You

Feel, you definitely feel small. You get up there and you’re humbled pretty quick by the scenery and, and just the overall severity of the mountains, you know, I mean it’s not,

There’s no trail

48, you know, you get to drive your truck on a two, on a two track road up somewhere, you know, you’re

To a nice big trail head and all that. No there’s none of that. This is bush whack until you get above Timberline and then, and then you’re, you know, in steep, still steep country. But the only

Thing like it would be like the Frank Church.

Yeah. And as far as Lord Lord 48, you know, stuff like that. Frank Church or Bob Marshall. Yeah. Something crazy like that. Some of those big, big vast places. But I mean they just are endless up there. So anyway, you feel very, it’s very awesome. It’s part of the reason, I mean, sheep punting, it’s the places you get to go hunt sheep as much as hunting the animal itself is, they’re just, the places you get to go are pretty amazing. But, so we spent all day, we start hiking right off that morning. It was a, you know, 3,500 feet elevation of gain to get up into this basin and canyon. And, and then we’re gonna go over the backside and spend, our goal is to go spend five or six days up where we were going. And you know, you have to take five or six days of food at least.

Because if you find a ram before opening day that you want to hunt, you’re going to camp on it. And you gotta have food for three days to even get to opening day. And if you don’t kill it opening day, it turns to another day. You’ve gotta weather day. You know, you just gotta plan that way. And then we’d regroup, regroup if we had to come out and go somewhere else for another five or six days. But anyway, that was a steep, that was a steep climb. That was a steep climb. I mean it was just, it’s just, it’s a cow’s face mountain. And, and you get outta timber in about 1500 feet or whatever. You start at like 20, I dunno, 23, 400. I don’t know what it is. But you get above timber line at around four ish and you know, then, then it’s steep, but it’s, you’re not fighting timber.

And then that night it was about five o’clock that night we’re walking up, we, you know, we’d, we’d zigzag through this basin ’cause it’s broad enough and crowns enough in places that you gotta kind of bounce back and forth. These, these little ridges. You’re, as you’re going up there, ’cause you’re walking through the, you’re walking up the canyon that the sheep are supposed to be in. So you have to, you can’t blow ’em out. You’ve gotta see ’em before they see you or you just, everything’s for Naugh and they’re gone and they’re, they’re not coming back while you’re there. So it’s over. And so it was about five o’clock that night and I think, and we’d walked up the, the valley and i I, we were getting quite far up the head to the point we were gonna start looking for probably a place to camp. And Adam was just in front of me and I was right by him pretty soon. He just did the, you know, circle ramps get down and he was right in front of me and I got down, I started taking my pack off and he was mouthing, you know, like they’re not that far up there or whatever. He’s getting a scope on ’em and whatnot. And I look back and Ty’s, you know, he’s, he’s coming up right there and

I mean, this is fast. Yeah. When we’re talking about a timeline of events. Yeah. But this is planning for a long trip. Yeah.

But this is, we’ve been hiking all day. So I fast forward and we hike since morning. And this is 5:00 PM that night. We haven’t even made it to where we’re gonna camp that

Day. It’s right, it’s all day long. It’s mean, it’s for all intents and purposes. The first i

First Big canyon. Yeah. And it’s three full days before it’s, I dunno what it is.

And what, what’s going through your mind, Ty? The whole thing? I mean, is there pressure mounting?

Is it, yeah, definitely. You know, you wanna make the most of your hunt, but you know, you’re going somewhere where it hasn’t been hunted and you know, you’re expecting to go hopefully find sheep, you know? Yeah. To a certain extent. But you know, like you said, to get still outta Yeah.

Still outta your hands.

There can be, yeah. It’s outta your hands and it’s big enough per acre. There’s not as much game as the guy would normally think. So I mean, like we,

You think there should be a lot more sheep just like places. There’s, we guide sheep are like, there’s there’s

A lot of country that’s void of big game. Yeah,

Yeah. There is. Yep. So you, you, you’re trying to stay vigilant and all that when you’re sheep pumping because especially when you’re always in sheep country and sometimes you run into ’em or they’ll, you know, crest a ridge when you’ve been walking up a valley and now they’re up there at a thousand yards. And if you make a move, they’re gonna be right on you. These happen to be right in the very bottom of the valley on a green patch. Couple of ’em feed one bed in. So he got a scope on the one. There was one kind of a real light fan colored ram, probably seven, 8-year-old. And then he caught a view of the ram we ended up killing. I guess we’ll just jump to that ’cause we’re gonna get to their pretty quick. Anyway,

It’s pretty much that’s, those are

The first, she, she, you guys came up, he’s like

First sheep you guys came up with,

There’s, there’s one, there’s one with some color that’s pretty good there. And I said, oh yeah, yeah, I have a look. And I, and I, I’ll never forget this moment. And, and, and Ty Ty’s gonna be able to tell us what he

Did in a minute.

I leaned, I leaned up there and I’ll bet I didn’t look through his scope.

Second

For a, not, not even a half a second, I, I look and I just pull back and I’m like, oh. And I got back 10 ties right now, just getting there, taking his pack on. And I said, you know, mouth Big Graham get up here. Like, and they’re only like 50 yards. No

So close. What’s that? If anybody knows the Bronsons. Okay. The expression ways that they communicate. I’m sure Adam’s eyes were this big around.

Oh,

The arms. Your wingspans impressive. You I’m sure it’s like you

Knew I wasn’t joking. Well,

There’s no joke. You know your dad,

What do I know when you, what’d it look like when you saw that? You’re like something.

So you looked through the scope. Yeah. Know and this is right off the bat. Like these are the first sheep

You’re seeing. I mean only didn’t even get, only the only we thought we were gonna camp. We still had half a mile to go where we

Were

Probably gonna first

Gonna camp even, you know, and they were sitting Right. We were planning on camping. Yeah. And you know, just, you know, I’m looking up at ’em and they’re looking through a spot and I didn’t know what they’d seen at the time. I’m 30, 40 yards behind him. And Yeah. And I just see him turn around and you know, you see a few mouth cursed words out of the mouth. Oh,

I might have said holy moly or something.

Holy crap.

Yeah, exactly.

But that was probably, you know, get up there and look through the scope and it’s, it’s just looking right at you, you know, and it’s got, got the head tilted and it’s just like, is

That picture of that ram be in the boulders? I think

On my pole. Well, and it’s not even in Boulder. It’s like on a flat boulder. Yeah. With a big boulder as a backdrop. It’s a pretty cool betting spot. How many rams have betted on that? Not,

I don’t know. Over

Years. Yeah. Yeah.

Keep telling him that. Tell we ought to mount him and we can get to that later. But,

But yeah, it was, how long did you take a look?

I mean, not

Very long. Ty just said he, he, I remember his words. Just say he looked back, says, what is that? I remember him saying

That, that sun.

I

Said

Well,

And it’s just like, you know, you have

It in your mind. That’s first stone you’ve ever seen. Yeah. Was the ram you killed? No.

Gee

Ever looked at,

I mean there was a dink two or 3-year-old that Hadactually

But hadn’t seen him,

Right? No, no. There was a dink dinky ram there, but then now there’s a white ram. Really? And now we’re like, okay, we gotta get outta here. ’cause if the wind shifts right now, like you’re screwed. Three, four oh yards. We’ve seen enough.

Yeah. And it could be three miles. Let’s get, let’s get aerial that they don’t, where they don’t quit. You know what I mean? It’s just so,

So we didn’t watch him for very long. We got a couple pitchers. He actually stood up outta that bed and we got a few more. And like, alright, like let’s just get it. We’ve seen enough. We had to back down the drainage, you know, however, what three quarters of a mile mile probably lose a lot of elevation that we just hiked with full packs and find a flat place to camp. Which we did that night just before dark. But now it was like, alright, gonna turn into babysitting. Right. Yeah. We got, we got, that day was pretty much over and spent. We’re gonna have the next two days now to just watch ’em. And I don’t know, we could probably fast forward through those two days because we can make this an hour podcast about something that isn’t

I got some inReach messages. You do. I mean, yesterday we hiked up a big, this is maybe, maybe your timeline’s wrong. I don’t, we’ll find out. We hyped up a big steep canyon where we, where I killed my ram in 2014. Found three rams. One is big good color babysit till Friday, I guess with the emoji of, ugh. You know what I mean? It’s like this is gonna be a long one.

Well this is then

The next one, watch Rams akin today. They seem content. Hopefully they stick around and then I’m replying and anyway. Yeah. Here’s some

More. What’d you think Ty? About How are those next two days? I mean, it was good because this is,

I snapped the leaf spring and so I’m giving you the update on my stuff. I snapped a leaf spring on my side by side trailer and, and I’ve got 30 cameras to go.

This is almost the 31st is why you’re kind of

Yeah, I’m stressed. You’re stressed

Because of

Legality. I’m have to use a one ton diesel to go around and gather up my truck cameras. ’cause I mean, can you imagine Jason Carter having a truck camera illegally out in the hills? Like, anyway. And I’m like, oh my heck, it was terrible. And you’re telling me, well, we’re chilling out watching, you know, anyway, watched our, again time. I watched, watched our ram again all day today. That makes three straight days. They move around a lot in the basin. Hopefully we can get a spot, a spot to kill tomorrow. And then it all came. Okay. It all came together. That’s where we’re

At. Yeah, I was, I mean, we’ve all, if you’ve ever, if you’ve hunted for yourself and you’ve waited for opening day, you know, deer, elk, whatever, and whatever sheep, the anticipation just, you wait for opening day and you’re sitting and watching the ramp

It and you feel like this, how

Is it gonna, the anxiety level,

Is it really gonna go? Right.

Really all you think about is everything that could go wrong and you try to prevent those things. All right. Nobody, skyline, nobody build a fires because you’re cold. Wolves and people Yeah, wolves. Exactly. I I we thought about that. I thought, is there gonna be residents blow over the ridge unbeknownst to us. Yeah. And just blow these sheep out for all three days. They would go up in the cliffs and then midday they’d come down that little green spot in the, in the bottom of this valley. It was lot of bubbling water coming out of the upper glaciers or whatever. And a lot of green. It was the high picture, the highest green on the mountain. That’s probably the freshest green because green’s up low early, that’s under ice. And now you’re at the highest, the youngest green on that mountain is right where they’re feeding the youngest most fresh. Yep. Yep. And so for three days. So we, like, we knew we gotta be in position of that somehow. But you know, they, you if if they’re in the right spot, they can see you coming from a mile. Yeah. Like, and there’s no cover. So I dunno, what’d you think? And

They have eyes.

What? Yeah, they have ice. What do you think about those days? That

Anticipation was pretty tough. Those three days were long.

Well, yeah, you don’t have Snapchat. Not

Even, well not even that. I

Mean Instagram. I don’t know what else.

Not even that. Just the fact that, you know, just to sit there and watch ’em a mile or two away through the spin days. It’s just like

Literally long day

Bugs. Yeah.

I mean, you know,

It’s

Dark for three, four hours, you know, it’s like a long day and you eat

Dinner. I’m surprised you’re not like, dad, let’s go look around. Maybe there’s a bigger one. We, I mean it’s just, it is hard to shoot the first

Round you’ve ever seen. I

I But he is a gorgeous Yeah, we like the picture’s.

Unbelievable. We thought we thought that, but I don’t know what we thought going up. You know, when you hunt a, a stone or even a doll, 98% of people just a good representative legal ram. That’s what you should shoot. You know, a lot of places have had with

Difficulty,

The mountain gives you Yeah, yeah. Pick what the mountain gives you. You’re there, you know, you can’t, you know, if you’re not in a place where you, you can do a ton of a scouting or maybe helicoptering and move around a lot during your hunt and like, you’re gonna probably move once during your hunt maybe or or twice. And we don’t have airplanes to do that here. You’re hiking off, you’re going up to a different, different

Place. You’re guy I get and you’re going somewhere. What do you think’s going through your guide’s mind? Oh, I’m so glad. Well, yeah. You know what I mean? I mean he,

He actually, he actually wanted, he wanted to get up and over the, he wanted, he never wanted it either. He wanted to go, he

Wanted learn more country because now it’s his first time here and he’s learning one small

Spot, one basin,

Like chilling. But he also understood, I’m like, I mean I told him, I said, I, I don’t know why this is the night before. We’re gonna go look for, I don’t know what we’re looking for.

We got a 40, we’re gonna go look for a 45.

It’s basically what you’re gonna say. If you’re stupid to even talk like that because you’re in an area with not a lot of

Sheep and you have a chance to go, they kill, you’re gonna move your wind. They could wind you, they could whatever. Even if you’re a mile away or half mile away.

Yeah. So those two days, we actually didn’t even go up where we see ’em the night before we, we had clear back, you know, got up on the ridge high and stayed way far away. All we needed to do is see ’em. We didn’t need to chill

Out

Phone scope ’em too much. We did take some bone scope footage and whatnot, but we didn’t want to wind them. Didn’t want him to see us. They had no clue we were there. And then this

Is when you waste time just enjoying every piece of kipper snack you can.

And, and I’m telling

Oyster he was

On me, man. Was he,

He was I telling Did

He try to trade you? Oh

Yeah.

Well every time I get my lunch backed out,

I take it easy.

I’m just like, Hey, hey, this gram ain’t dead yet. You know, because you know, these 20-year-old,

They start, oh, you might take this last, you need to make all this food last. It might be 10 days. Well

Yeah, you’re like, you know, he ain’t dead yet. If he dies, we’re gorging or, so you eat everything you want having fun. But like we got two days plus the day to kill him and then the day to get out. I mean that’s about all the food we brought. But if something goes wrong pretty soon you’re eating

Oh yeah,

Blueberries. Yeah. Yeah. And there’s none of them. They’re all green right now. So I was just like, take it easy. I’m like, only when we left the tent, I said, only put in your pack what you can eat today. Don’t, don’t take all your

Food. That’s a 10th of what you brought the of rest

Of the, in a granola bar.

The rest of it, you leave in the tent because if it’s in your pack and you’re sitting in a spot,

These is good lessons. You’re gonna

Eat R for 12 or 14 hours. What are you gonna do? Yes, you’re going to turn to it every hour.

You don’t just get to go to Brad’s and get another bird.

Or if you’re out here hunting deer an elk, you just, you got a 20 pound pack and you always have more snacks than you could eat in a day. I, I, that’s what’s in, I have stuff in there that’s probably been in there for two years. Yes, do too. It’s just at the bottom of my gallon Ziploc stuff, you know, I don’t want to eat that. But it’s there if I ever need it. The fresh

Stuff, it, it’s a real rainy day. I’ve got something in there that’ll make me slightly sick, but it’ll, it’ll fill the void. Yeah.

So then we get to opening day and we woke up earlier because it’s opening day. You can hunt, I think it was like six, which is not super early, but it’s early for up there.

We were kicking around five probably

Morning

Around five. I walk out and I walk up there 50 yards from the tent just on a Whitman. I look, I can see the Rams in a spot. They hadn’t been way up on a different ridge. And I’m like,

Oh this is gonna turn into a hunt.

I’ve got ’em. I’m like, if they go over that site, it’s a hunt. But, but we’ll see. And then I said, I went over to the guy, told him, borrowed a scope. I’m watching him and told Ty, we all got dressed, got up and looked at him. Everybody get dressed, let’s go. And then, then what happened? Ty

Mother nature is likes to, she’s mean. Yeah. We had perfect weather. I mean hiking in those three, those three days, we didn’t get rained on one time. Those three days. Even watching the ram, you know? Yeah. And that’s pretty unheard

Of up there. It’s pretty unheard of there, you know. Yeah. You live in Rainer. Yeah.

He, we see the Rams opening morning and you know, 10, 15 minutes later turned into two three hour ordeal of just down the tent. And I’m just, just, my blood is,

He’s going, you’re ticked. He’s getting a taste of what we’ve gone through a lot and over our lives.

These are good lessons.

There’s curve balls, you know. Yes. Stuff happens and you just had to say, hey, they we’re gonna get ’em. It’s just might be this afternoon now or whatever, or whenever this breaks and Yeah. Finally about what, maybe

11 o’clock. I have seven days of drizzle. Yeah. You know?

Yeah, exactly. And we fortunately

40 mile an hour winds. Yeah.

Fortunately we look on the forecast and it actually said it was supposed to clear up that afternoon, which it actually was pretty dead on which up there. I don’t know how. Yeah. That was prep terrible. That was a coin flick probably. And whether that was an accurate, you know, forecast or not,

There’s many weathermen that are fired on the daily. That’s right. ’cause they’re forecasts are always wrong. Oh, that’s right.

Finally about 11, 11 30 it broke. We were more than ready. And we started up the valley basically the way that we found ’em, the very first night, they

Can’t see you as you’re going.

Not for the first thousand yards.

Still over fire in the cliffs.

Yeah. We get to the, we get to the first little ridge in the valley where we spotted ’em the very, very first night. And they’re up there, they’re headbutting and they’re actually putting on a show. The sun’s trying to poke out. So they, they’ve been in the rain too. So they’re, they’ve been, usually they’ll just, they’ll either feed or they’ll lay down, just take it on the chin and the rainstorm. But anyway, we knew that we wanted to get within shooting range of that green spot. Right. That was, that was critical. ’cause we’d seen ’em come there three times and it’s such a big open valley and, and basin, the head of this, like, you’re not just gonna walk there if they’re on their way to it or if they’re there, you’re not gonna, you’re gonna be just wait for it might turn to the next day if you don’t get in position before they do. Well finally they started dropping down ’cause we’re, we’re, we’re, now we’re at thousand 1200 yards maybe from ’em and they start dropping down toward us. We’re like, oh geez, they’re coming right toward us, but there’s nothing in us in our way significantly that we can keep moving. But they fortunately hit a little patch of green and beded down. We couldn’t see the one ram and the, and the big ram and the dink were bedded looking straight away from us. And it was like,

Okay, let’s

Go. All right. So yeah, we just decided to bear crawl, bear crawl. Yeah. Literally like we got bloody knees from that. Literally it was like 250 yards of crawling on your knees in just sharp rock. And we’re just in a single file, full pack, you know, going on there. And geez, just, just doing that and about every 10 or 15 yards, Adam or I would look up, say, yeah, they’re still looking away and just keep trucking. We figured if we got 250 yards there, there was another little bit of a down slope you could get behind them. And then you could more or less run up the next little rise for another a hundred yards. So we’re gonna shave three 50 yards off and they’re gonna be close. ’cause they betted down about 7 50, 800 yards, which is, we’re not gonna shoot from there. It’s windy. Even though

You totally could,

Possibly could, but I mean you just don’t want to. Yeah. You know, so fortunately they let us, they let us do all that. They let us, you know, get that two 50. They didn’t stand up. We, we basically ran up to the next, next little ridge a hundred yards. Got the pack on there, got, got Ty set up and dialed in. I mean he was so, so about the rest first let’s, to your mind

By the hallway. Are you thinking let’s just stop shooting from here. Like what

He actually didn’t want shoot from right there. I did.

He asked me and I was, it was pretty windy too. I

Was like, we set up up, you

Just wanna be comfortable, you know. What gun are you using? Do

You remember? Six five PRC with a 1 43. Oh there you go. ELDX. And it was 4 50, 4 80 somewhere. It depends on the rocky. Yeah. I couldn’t tell if I was hitting because all I could see is the sheep thorns. Yeah. A boulder, big boulder. I could hit, you know, like four 80. I knew there was a little bit closer to that. So had him set up there and dialed on it and you know, if they stood up and went to the left, like they were gonna get out of our site really fast. And the wind was also blowing that way eventually. Kitty

Corner a little bit.

Yeah. So like you wanted them to come to the right more and down to the green patch that they’d been on. And I don’t know how long we have to wait there Ty. I dunno. 30

Minutes

Maybe. It wasn’t long. Really?

Yeah. You were just on the gun watching ’em through the scope. Yep. Yeah. And now you’re calm, you’d like realize it’s probably gonna happen. Yeah.

Yeah. It felt pretty

Good. Or did. Or sometimes when you’re watching ’em through the scope, it gets worse. Like the anticipation of knowing that it’s gonna happen is worse. Yeah. Or some guys will chill out and just relax and sometimes even just chill. Lay your head down and tell you wait till your dad tells you to get on the scope.

Well I made one comment to him. I said, Hey, I just pretend it’s a cow elk. And then he re he reminded me, dad remembered the only cow elk I’ve ever shot out I missed. And I’m like, okay, I’m 10 years

Old and he did,

He was like 10 or 11 years old and I think it was up on

Those days haunt

You. Well, and I’ve said that to the girls. I dunno, it’s just what? Or, or my hunters, I just pretend it’s two point a cow elk. Pretend it’s not them don’t, this is not your once in a lifetime desert sheep don’t make it. It’s big, but don’t make it big before you pull the trigger. And I said, just remember the cow elk and he just looked at dead face like, dad, if remember the only cow elk I’ve ever shot out? I missed,

Did you say that? Yeah. Oh

Yeah.

And I’m like, not a good time.

Okay. Maybe, maybe pretends it’s two point, you know, anyway. But you know, just trying to talk ’em through like you do with hunter. Just ’cause you know, it’s, I dunno, I, I get really nervous when I go to shoot.

Well when you I really do. If things don’t go right, you know, you’ve got another eight days to relocate ’em and,

And

That you’ll have a couple more, more shots and it’ll be, you’ll be dialing and shooting. Dialing and shooting. Like this could get wild. Yeah. Really wild. And then when they go over the hill, you’re like

Probably over miles, more miles and probably not gonna see that ram. Probably not gonna be a better ram.

We might learn the country,

We might learn this area before

I was all going through everybody’s head.

So there you are. You’re on the gun. 30 minutes. Yeah. Take it from there.

Well I mean they, they’d all still been bedded behind these big boulders and you know, we didn’t wait long like you said. And, and they just come walking straight for the green patch and you know,

I like the cabbage patch. Can we call it the cabbage patch?

Yeah. Why not? It, it was thick stuff. Like it was good feed, you know, just that glacier had been coming down and it had been growing right there. And, and

Little varieties of

Yeah. Greenery. No, it was good. I mean they just come from those boulders behind in that last picture just up in there.

Oh, okay.

And they’d just come beline.

Yeah. You could see it’s yellow up there. Yeah. There’s

Nothing.

And it’s green where you’re Yeah.

And they’d just beline straight forward and he’s just sitting there, which

Is cutting the distance. Oh

Yeah. Straight to us. Theoretically. Yeah. You know, just about and kinda

Ling yeah. There was

Three or four shooting opportunities, but you know, there wasn’t inaccurate Anita.

They wouldn’t hold still either. And the rams are Chase and, and they’re also wanting to keep walking. So they’re feeding and then they just keep walking first.

That’s what she do. And they’re trying to beat each other. It’s little too far.

And I’m getting six different readings on the MOA dial here and I’m just sitting there on the gun watching them just

Keep

Dial, just keep down one click down, one click down. Anyway, but they finally got to the green patch and I was like, okay, we can just settle down, you know, they’re gonna stop in two 50 time,

300, 3, 300,

Just about. And I was said, okay, we can take our time. And he finally, you know, had to reassure himself 10 or 15 time, K, this is them away. Here we go.

Styled. Yep.

Okay. I said, Kay, you ready? And pulled the trigger and yeah. Dropped him in his jacket

One time. Wow. In time

On and done. Finished up.

Wow.

He was pretty awesome. It was just,

And to all of his buddies just look at him like, Hey, f Fred lump up. Where you going? What

Wake? Yeah. They stood up, up,

He stood up.

Why aren’t you coming up? Stood over in all

The yard sheep. I love how they do that. What

Happened? Especially those up there. I don’t know if it’s, they just don’t see pe I don’t know. I don’t know if they don’t know what you are. Yeah. A lot of times, like literally don’t, don’t know where

They’ve a person came from. Yeah.

And, but yeah, they stood there, you know, until we walked right up there and then they stood over there at a hundred, one 50 yards and just

Fell. So he’d been, he’d been leading them around all week too. You know, he was

Always,

And you know, where the leader feed and what do they do? Why

Is grandpa taking a nap? Yeah. Literally.

He, he’d never been to the tire before. Yeah, it’s true.

But yeah. But it was, so that was, I dunno, early afternoon that day, I wanna call it, I dunno, one, one thirty. And then I just told Ty, anything ends in your pack. Better not be packed off the mountain. Eat everything you got, you know, or leave it because you’re not

Gonna

Whatever off the mountain. Yeah. But pretty special. And I don’t know, it was pretty neat walking. Got some good view walking up on him. Just that first touch, first reaction and touch of a, of a ram. It was pretty, pretty awesome. Pretty awesome. You know, 10-year-old Ram and, you know, had good color for there. We were hunting a very, very northern BC so pretty awesome. Pretty special. And then we, you had all day to take care of him, just getting out for life size ties. Like, we dad we’re life sizing this son. And I’m like, you know, how do you not say, I mean like, I wanted to, but like when they say like, it’s like he pretty much, he’s thinking what I’m thinking, but who’s paying for it?

And they’re no joke. You know what life size runs nowadays.

I know. I, trust me, I know what they run. But just, I don’t

Think the price of mounts have gone up in the same relation to wages. I just feel, I feel like they’ve outpaced wages.

I know. But it was just, it was just one of those, it it answers your question for you when you sometimes Yeah. You know, haven’t, I’ve done a few sheep that way and this one just, that’s what we have to do. So pretty awesome skinny amount that way. Had good weather, took care of him all day. You know, we didn’t have that bad of a packout back down to camp that night and just ate like kings that night. And the next morning just, just everything wanted Mozy off the mountain. What’s that?

Just moseyed off the mountain the next day. And

Yeah. It was steep though. That’s a steep mountain That is steep. And now you’re, you’re not, you got three guys to split a sheep up. It isn’t bad, but it’s still hard on my knees. Steep. And that, that was actually harder on my knees than anything. Yeah. Just you’re downhill for 3,500 feet in about that last mile and a half. I mean, it’s just, just as steep as it can get. Geez.

Anyway. And that pretty thin to add half mile, three quarters of a mile where, where you killed your arm 10 or 11 years

Ago. Oh, that’s the other thing. Yeah. Probably, probably 800 or a thousand yards from where mine literally died in the same canyon. Same drainage, but literally 800, a thousand yards. I couldn’t kind of crazy pinpoint it exactly after that. Point.

Point. It’s interesting. That’s pretty awesome. We have that here in the states for deer and elk and things like that. Is the same areas produce year after year after year. Yeah. I’ve, I’ve, I, I tell my kids all the time, like, you gimme 10 cameras, 10 trail cameras and tell me to go put ’em out. I would, I would’ve gotten the same, the biggest buck each and every year that I get instead, instead eight when I run a hundred, 150. Yeah. I like this, this year. I know the best cameras I had were the ones I would’ve picked if you only gave me 10, 10 of ’em to work

With. But you run all the others ’cause you’re out there anyway and you never know where something might show up and all that. But then at the end of the year, you’re, man,

I wasted some those same areas and that’s like this too. Yeah. You know, some of those places, those same areas produced and I, and who knows why just is kind of what is what it is. Combination feed, genetics, things like that. But pretty awesome. And so here we are in the lower 48, so cash Yeah. You got out and about Yeah. Helping buddies scouting a lot. Of course. It’s still August, things like that. Right. And we’ve got the archery Deer Hunt general going on. Yeah. And take us into maybe a little bit of your story.

Yeah. Gosh, I’ve just been, I, I work for an outfit, a little bit guide, guide a little bit and just been spending a lot of time scouting for elk and focusing on elk. And I haven’t hardly touched anything deer wise this year, other than a buddy has a tag and whatnot and helped him a little. And, and Corbin called me oh. A couple days before and it’s like, Hey, I’ve got this buck I sent you back in the summer. And it’s like, do you wanna go hunting with us? I was like, yeah. It’s like, I know that deer’s big and I don’t know how he finished out, but I was like, heck yeah, I’ll go hunt a hunt. A big deer with you. And Corbin hasn’t hunted for himself, not a single day for the last six years. Yeah. He’s been guiding elk hunters and whatnot. Yeah. And so I said, heck yeah. And we went over there and, and tried to find him that evening and didn’t turn him up, but we knew he was there and went back the next morning and sure enough turned him up and the hunt was on and got him killed. And gosh, it’s not every day you get to put your hands on a 200 inch general buck.

No, but what I find fascinating about this story is, is Yeah, just the, the the track job Yeah. And what those track jobs teach you. Right.

You know what I mean? I, we, we got, we got narrow in him Oh, couple hours after the morning. Kind of took a while to get him in a spot where we could kind of have a play and some wind swirled. And we had a guy in the right spot to wind it, to get his wind. And he came up just like he did the morning before and got him, got an arrow sunk fletching deep in him and,

And it was a good shot.

Yeah. Was a great shot. Yeah.

Great shot, shot you would take again.

Oh yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. And so anyway, he gets, gets over a ridge, we all thought he was gonna be dead in this bottom that we all lost him in. And, and they start tracking him and after a while they get over another ridge and start zigzagging back and forth. And I was up on the hill and just the direction they would go back and forth and back and forth. I thought they were just trying to cut a track or whatever. I asked Corbin on the radio, I was like, are you on a track? He’s like, yeah, we’re tracking. We’ve been on a track and a little bit of blood every 20, 30 yards. Wow. And that buck, that buck switched back and doubled back 180 degrees multiple times.

What I can’t believe is when you relayed the story, just Yeah. It was 15 or 20 minutes of story on tracking. Yeah. You know what I mean?

It was, it was hands down the most impressive track job I’ve ever seen. Which I mean, granted, I haven’t seen like tons and tons, but I I

Got down. But you’ve been around. You’ve been around. Yeah. Yeah. You, you’re a good hunter. Yeah. I, I feel like, and so I feel like when you talk about this deer, I feel like it just reminds Adam and I of the, some of these deer, they’re, they’re, and we call ’em smart, they’re just, they’re just getting away from you. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. But you’re like, exactly. You can see where he’s thinking. But when you’re tracking him, you can see he stopped, made a 90, a 180, went back on his back trail, went down to the river through the rocks, up through the, you know what I mean?

You can tell that it’s that, that it was a thought out route and where he was

Going. So maybe walk us through the tracking, like, you know, you know in your mind how it went down. You

Thought they were, you thought they were aimlessly looking for blood, but they ended up telling you No, we’ve been on it. No, you’re on track. On track. We’re zigzagging on the track track Yeah. In the blood.

Yeah. And so they went, they went down over the ridge into a bottom. The buck went up the bottom and it’s is like in thick trees where you think, you know, he is over a ridge, he’s gonna feel safe, he’s gonna bed down, stop doesn’t bed, goes up the draw out into some open hits a tree line. So you’re like, okay, he’s gonna be in that patch of trees. And I’m watching these guys just thinking, oh, this case, he’s gonna be in that patch of trees. They end up going down the tree line back out into the open, back down towards the bottom. And this is all like, that’s 180, that’s a 90 degree turn. All this. So then when they’re headed back to the bottom

A hundred, 200 yards of wob.

Yeah. Yeah. And so they, they’re headed back towards the bottom like, Corbin, you guys on a track. He’s like, yeah, we’ve been on a track the whole time. And at this point those

Are always things that make you nervous. Yeah.

Even though it was a lung shot, kind of a lung shot, you realizing maybe one long. Yeah. But I mean, we’ve got broad, a broad head in the steer. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, so that, how is he doing all this?

That’s probably adding to the uncertainty maybe maybe going to lay down hurt him. He is, I don’t wanna do that. ’cause the way it’s shifting in him and you know, he’s just sick enough that does, he’s just unsure. He’s, you know, I mean the buck probably had a lot of uncertainty. Like, what is going on? Right. What is wrong with me? Yeah. Is part of it’s acting smart and surviving, but of it, part of it’s just acting. You know, he’s, you know, being affected by, you know, being real sick too.

Yeah. Right.

So anyway, he, he gets down, gosh, he gets to a part, and this is when I come down off the hill and we kind of take a break for a minute, give him some more time, and we go back to where there’s last blood and there’s like this perfect lane, like a trail walking trail kind of deal. We’re like, Hey, he’s gotta be going this way. So we send a couple guys that way and there’s a bottom and it’s like a pile of dead cedar. And this buck, he, he jumped over that onto a bank and then down like a, I don’t know, maybe three foot little embankment into the bottom of the creek. And we ended up finding his tracks behind us back on the other hill. But you get, and you’re standing there and you’re like, okay, you try to think like a deer.

You’re like, Hey, you’re go way gonna path the least resistance. Like he’s this way for sure. But no, they like, he straight up went the other way, bounced out when he got over to that little top, he got over there and we had a track, like right on the, like basically on the road, his last track. And then it straight up 1, 180 straight back behind, makes a 90 over there. Goes over onto the hill that I was glassing from around into a canyon into some stuff that’s like, he’s dead right here. Like, he’s in here. If we haven’t bump bumped him outta here, he’s right here. So we go in there and I go across to glass across to see if he comes out anywhere. Sure enough he doesn’t. And come to find out after a while, you know, we go through that, track him through that. He had doubled back, went uphill a little bit, doubled back over top of us as we were coming in and went back down the other hill, crossed back, crossed his own track and our tracks back.

And you guys, you’re dry tracking.

Dry tracking. Yeah. And this is where I was like, this is where like Corbin has a freaking knack for it because I was following and I’m like, Hey, yeah, there’s a speck of blood, there’s this track, but like Corbin’s like walking on this, like you would walk down the sidewalk and I’m like looking like part of it is,

There’s track, track when you’re the zone, it’s your deer. Yeah. And you’re in the zone. I don’t know, it’s almost like an adrenaline track job. Like you, you’re picturing hyperfocused. Yeah. You’re hyperfocused. And every little indention you’re on it. Like, you’re just so in the moment with that track job.

Yeah. And it, I don’t know, it was just impressive to me, like being just a guy there, you know? And so anyway, we come back around the hill and he, we see embedded across the, across the little draw. And Corman goes over there and sticks him again. And he kind of runs over kinda hobbles over the hill. And we’re just watching. See any, if he comes out anywhere and he goes up there,

You skipped over a lot right there. Did

I really?

Well, I don’t know. He, it took him a while. You guys glass him up. He’s beded. Yeah. Then he goes in there and it takes a bit for him to get up there to where he can make another shot

On. I mean, he gets to as close as he can, which is, it’s still

A, without blowing

Him. Without blowing him. Yeah. And this buck knows we’re there. Like you can just sick,

There’s slightly holler.

Just enough that he would look back at us once in a while. And so we just set him down there and he gets over there and all of a sudden we hear the ball go off, the buck jumps up. And anyway, Corbin goes up to his bed and we’re like, Hey, he ended up hobbling that way. Yeah. It’s like, all right. So he dips into the trees and radio goes quiet for 30 seconds, 45 seconds. And he comes back and he’s like, I got another one in him. Like,

It’s, it’s good. He

Iss gonna die right here.

We’ve been there just a rodeo. You just, it’s not a matter of ethical or not,

You just keep

You, you are, you got, when

You get an animal like that, it’s already spooked and you bumped him and you’ve got another in him. It’s just, you’re just trying to, to get another one, whatever fair. Whether it be a rifle or a bow really at that point.

Yep. And so he gets another one in him radio, radio goes quiet for another 30, 45 seconds. He’s like, all right, I just slipped on his last rib. Quartered away. He’s dying right here. You guys can come over. And we’ve all ran, like, I ran over there as fast as we could. Like 200 yards. And it seemed like we were there in like three seconds at

Your parachute cord with the last sale ready. Yeah. Ready to go if needed to, ready to go. Not getting up this.

So anyway, we all walked up to him, you know, taking his last breath and stuff and gosh, on a general unit and a buck that

Nobody knew

About that. Yeah. No one really, like, no one was in there or nothing like that. Wow. It was just awesome. So that’s a really

Rare, rare experience. Really

Rare. Yeah. It was awesome. And great Buck for, for a guy. Guy for a guy that, that’s the day and a half that he’s hunted for himself. And the last six years, first buck with a bow, you know, pretty incredible.

Pretty awesome. Oh yeah. 32

And a half

Wide

First buck. That’s his first buck with a bow.

The bow. I think so. Yeah. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. It’s pretty, pretty insane. Hard to

Beat it.

Yeah.

Yeah. So that was, that was really fun to be a part of that and good to just experience it anyway.

Pretty awesome. Learned a lot. Yeah. So

Yeah, it’s a good start to the year. That’s now. Gotta go kill some bulls.

Pretty

Awesome. So, yeah. All right, well let’s see. Bronson, let’s maybe a little shout out to St. James Property. Blaine St. James, super good friend of ours sell buys and sells properties, basically. List ’em. Yeah. Doesn’t buy and sell ’em. Just list them properties for sale also helps guys per make purchases. Does it with the hunter in mind, knowing the different states and landowner tag programs or application systems, things like that. And the value of having properties with the right feed, the right water, and that are managed properly. Or just guys that just want property. They’re not, not just hunters. It doesn’t

Recreational property. Just to have cabin out west that you come out to, you know, three times, two, three times a year. It doesn’t matter. You know, he’s a great guy. Read the website off there, Jason.

Yeah. www.sjsportingproperties.com. Yep. 8 5 5 7. 1 1 7, 5, 7, 7. Just a great guy. I’ll take time visit with you. Of course. All of anything. When guys that are wealthy enough to buy properties, they’re smart and they use these as investment properties. They’re not making a bad choice. You know, they don’t wanna make a bad financial choice something, a lot of times they don’t keep it forever and ever, but, but they’re also wanting to find a great ranch or something they can enjoy from the hunting perspective, at least as it’s from an Epic outdoors member.

Barry Abbott Hunter. Yep. He’s, he’s killed North America 29 and still fill, Jason and I get pictures from Blaine all the time. He’s still going and doing weird, wild stuff. Lots of stuff and wild places of of, yeah. Loves it. He got a, you know, he is been around a, he’s got a lot of perspective when he talks to you about property that you’re looking for or property does that you have, that you wanna wanna sell. That’s right.

So again, www.sjsportingproperties.com. I don’t even know if www thing anymore. I

Don’t know. Do you have to say that, Logan? You don’t have

To type it in now,

Because we used to

Do that. You’re probably the only guy here. Say it.

Al Gore, which I think is good. Al Gore, who created the internet?

Jason. I mean, I just, yeah, I, I joke, I mean,

But yeah, it was there. I mean there’s song sung about it, right?

Www.

Yeah. So anyway, I don’t know, whatever you can find it. Chat. GTP chat. DT P does everything. Although I hear Elon Musk’s, you know Grock? Yeah. Grock. Is that what it is now? There’s the new gr They say it’s better than

Grock is good. It depends on what you want. This

Is the first time I’ve

Heard it’s another ai, what is it?

It’s an AI search. It’s ai AI system

Platform. Pretty

Soon there’s gonna be an AI to replace Logan and that’ll be a good day. It’s coming.

Oh, just kidding.

It’s

Coming. AI’s gonna replace us all. That’s true, right? That’s

True. Bring it. I dare. I dare it.

I’m unique. There’s nothing gonna replace me. Yeah. Anyway, I don’t know. Is that, that’s how you got through, that’s how you got through school, right, Logan?

That’s right. Yeah. I’ll check. Well, can they take away my degree now? Now

I got it. No, you just have to you. No, it’s just, there’s a, there’s a caveat that anything that comes outta your mouth has to go through chat because that’s how you graduate. That’s true. That’s how you got

Your education. It is. Yeah. 10% of my,

So now you can’t be unique or else ’cause we don’t know if it’s right. That’s right. You know what I mean? And

No, I actually, it wasn’t, when I started college, the first, for the first few years, it was not as big as it is now. AI was like just barely coming

Around. I’ve talked to college kids, it’s like, I’m like, well, so you need to chat up, chat it up. And they’re like, oh, come on. Yeah. You know,

It’s to study for like this last semester, I just did studying with it. You

Can immediately get your answers and help you does it. You still probably learn something, right? Yeah.

Well, like you can have it talk to you now. So I’ll just be whatever, driving or whatever and I’ll just say, ask me practice questions, ask me practice concepts. Come on. Seriously. I’ve got like a 45 of me. I’ve got like a 45 minute chat log with one where I, it was just asking me questions. I was getting ready for a final and

Did it

Help you? I got the class high on the final, so. Wow. Wow. It was honestly like, I couldn’t believe it. First time I,

The school’s like managing it somehow to where it’s

Like, yeah, they checkers.

If you write an essay in it that

Gets Yeah, they have checkers. You can tell if somebody cheats with ai. So it can tell like if, if you write an essay with it. Plagiarism.

Yeah, exactly. You can tell, you can write a paragraph

Through it. It’s exactly like that. So you can’t, it’s hard to cheat with it now. You can’t really do it. You have to put more work into hiding the fact that you cheated then it

Just organically

Normally. So, but yeah, studying with it. Unreal.

The class high. Do you believe it?

I’ll show you. I know. I’ll show you. I was proud.

Pretty awesome. Somehow

Had a hard time. Well, didn’t you say one of your classes was like so bad that the class high was like 71?

It was that class. Was it?

So you, you’re the one that got 71? No,

The class, the class high before me was 74 and I got like 79. Wow. Yeah.

Ridiculous. You got a hot one here.

Didn’t

Even get a B. You got a C plus job. Well then

Curve. And then curve. They curve it 21 points. Which

Straight up a

You got an A I get it. But at least when I went 79 from percent was a C plus. Right. Let’s

Call a gift.

You guys can’t take that. We got what we got. We didn’t get what you get. You don’t throw a fit. Yeah. And what are we gonna do? You know? I mean, yeah.

You guys are too old for the curve.

Anyway, where does that bring us? I think we, okay, so we also need to do this stealth chem. Yeah, yeah. Oh yeah. Competition. Yeah. From clear from way back.

Yeah. We ended this at the beginning of August and took a minute to vote and get it all

Together. It’s like August 5th I think is the

Last day or something. Yeah. So not so long ago, but huge thanks to everybody that participated. It’ll

Be interesting. I don’t even know who the winners are. No, I

Don’t. Yeah, I just got ’em tallied up right before we came in. Maybe,

Maybe remind us what we’re doing here. I mean, categories. Categories. We, we voted and then people are gonna vote after.

Yeah.

Creditor unique.

Beginning of the summer we wanted to do a stealth cam competition. So any from the last, I think it was 2023 was the cutoff. So from 2023 to 2025, you could submit trail camera pictures. We had five different categories. Mul, deer, elk, all other western big game predators. And then we had a stranger thinks category. So we’re gonna have two rounds of winners. The winners out of this initial round, the office staff, the epic office staff voted on

Blindly. I

Don’t even know where Adam

Chose. Yeah. They all,

We all individually replied to you. Right. So we didn’t

Over, nobody could influence. Was it an over? And it was really funny because there’s, it’s almost unanimous in every category with very little. Really?

Really? Wow.

Like was I the odd, okay,

Let’s announce em.

No, Josh was mostly the odd duck. Oh, that

Makes sense. That makes complete sense. He is odd.

The Viking. Yeah.

Alright.

He does everything different. His mind works in

Weird ways. Okay, so what? But

Yeah, so for this first initial round of voting, they’re all gonna win a couple of trail cameras each. And then we’re gonna post up these five winners on our Instagram. Have our Instagram followers vote on an overall winner. And that person is gonna walk away with the tripod and a couple more things. So, okay,

So go ahead. Who do we

Got? So for Neil Deere, Calvin, Google Meyer won. He had a video.

Kansas, the four point

Side. Yeah. Big

Buck, right? Was amazing. Yeah.

For the elk category. Larry Staley one. Okay.

That was a

Beautiful six point. Yeah.

For the

Good pictures. Jesus.

For the other category, we had cash. Crandall, I believe he

Had.

Yeah, he had, and not just sheep. They were like giant

One was really big stern right in the camera. I mean, and the other, oh yeah, the other had some Es and another ram there if I remember right. Yep.

Yep. That one with the deserts. That one was sweet picture. And then for the predator contest, this one was completely unanimous. Yeah. Jay Gilbert had a picture of a lion mid takedown on a dough. Wow.

That was sweet. Was unbelievable. And it was like, that’s

A National geographic picture.

I’ve got some lines running through step before and it’s the trigger speed or whatever camera I had. Or the light was, that was a crisp picture. Crisp. It was a good picture.

Snappy.

Snappy. Snap it snappy. The dust is pluming up. You’ll see that. That’s a, it’s awesome. It’s, there was some other mountain lion pictures that were really cool, but that one was like, how do you, he’s he’s, it had the wow factor. The claw is on the deer’s back. Yeah. And there’s dust flying the dough is, she’s, she’s dead and doesn’t know it. But

Yeah, you in the predator. In the predator there was a lot of black bears submitted a lot of bears. Yeah. And they’re very animated. Like bears are, they’re just, I don’t know. They’re the most animated of any of the animals. Yeah. They do 20 things and they’re uninhibited. They don’t give two craps what anybody thinks of them. They’re doing weird stuff all the time.

Humanist. Humanistic at times. Yeah.

Humanistic. I mean, this is, I was like, I am not gonna vote for a black bear. I don’t know why.

It was mostly black bears that we had

Submitted. It was, and they’re overwhelming. They’re kind of just gross. Yeah. You know, they can be black bears doing black bear things.

And, and speaking of Black Bear, the Stranger Things winner was Trevor Packard and his was that video of somebody shooting at the Black Bear and missing? Yes.

Oh, they hit him. They

Hit him. Hit go through

Him. Yeah. Twice they trailed it. Yeah. So he was, because

You can just see the, whatever you said, rocks

Start rolling around. Yeah. But I think he was shooting from the right, like the trail camera’s on video mode and happened to hit record when him or whoever’s shooting from a different direction from the right it goes, the bear runs around, hits the bait, then he shoots it again. It was, that video

Is awesome

Again. So animated. You know what, most animals amber off and die with a little bit of respect. These things are like rolling around and I mean, they’re basically talking. Yeah. You know what I mean? That’s,

And then just get ’em out. And then they’re, they’re still,

And they do they look like a dead person laying there. Yeah. I just,

So is that the five? Did we get ’em? That’s

The five. Yep. So,

So now what

Happens? So now you’re gonna, so now when you hear this podcast, the post will be on our Instagram, it’ll be labeled 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 on the pictures. Everybody vote, go comment, favor.

2, 3, 4, 5.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5.

So the MVP of that, if the contest gets

Won, whoever gets the most vote, they’re gonna win a couple extra trail cameras and then a epical ultra tripod combo.

And on your post, you’ll, you’ll post the cutoff deadline, right? Yeah. When you get it cut off for a week or so,

It’ll be, ’cause we don’t know exactly when this podcast will come out next day, but it’ll be a week. So do you

Remember what voted for you

Remember? No, I just, ’cause I just wrote down the name. I know a couple of

Mine are different. I guarantee you on the Predators he went with the Bears. Yeah.

A couple of mine were different on there too.

Yeah. Cash did have a couple of differents. Did

You? Yeah, I did. Which one did

You like? I don’t remember. I plead the fifth. I, I can’t

Disclose that. You know, I

Can’t disclose it. Well

Everybody, it’s okay to have a fave that didn’t win

Anyway.

I don’t know. Pretty fun. Just different. That was cool. Well, thanks for

Particip. That’s awesome. Yeah. We appreciate it. It was good. It was good. We will, Logan will be getting with you guys. You steal five winners? Steal,

Steal, steal cam. Steal cam. This is epic. Stealth cam doesn’t give us a thing. Okay. So Epic’s providing cameras. We’re we’re giving you cameras steal. It’s just something fun to do. But it’s fun to have the stealth cam competition. And this photos were submitted by all kinds of cameras.

Oh, oh, they were. Yeah.

You know,

Yeah, we didn’t pick it. It was, yeah, I don’t even know what cameras they used. Don’t, it was just, I was focused purely on the picture. Yeah,

Yeah. It was purely on the photo. So anyway, kind of a fun podcast. Thanks Ty, for coming in. What’s next for you, bud? You’ve been out and about hunting deer, doing a few things. Kill

A buck, maybe jumping around, trying to hunt deer. Yep.

And then, let’s see, back in school, right? Yep.

Starting this

Weekend, maybe field some of the little requests, little honeys sending in stuff in the mail. Hard pitchers. We’ll stay, you know, we’ll stay on top of the hunt this fall. We will try not to get, get their resume on, you know, what they’ve killed in life and bucks they’ve tracked and I like it. Yeah, that’s awesome. Maybe if they own any property. Yeah. Key areas. Yeah. Hey,

Just are you marry more in five minutes than you can make in a lifetime.

Whoa.

Whoa. That’s advice from my grandpa. Was it that no one in my family advised. Okay, well you can marry more in five minutes than you can make in a lifetime. Love is blind. You just,

Speaking of which, somebody said Taylor Swift got, oh yeah. She’s off the table.

Gag me with a dirty sock.

Oh, you gonna do Taylor Swift news on this podcast?

I hate that girl. I’m just saying, what do

You mean? Who, what’s to hate? About a billion dollars

There. There is a video. Okay. This is why I hate her. There is a video that’s like this lady saying up. She gets some award. She’s like, I wanna thank this person, this person, all of it. She’s like, applauding. She’s like, I wanna thank God for this. And she like shakes her head No. Un disgusted. I’m like, Nope. I immediately hate your guts. Oh yeah. Yeah. She’s a piece of crap.

So listen, if Taylor Swift, swift is a listener for this podcast, you

Realize people can change.

I’m not changing on that one.

And, and we’re loved by the almighty. Every one of

This guy. I know we all are, but I personally hate that person.

Okay. Gosh, how about Biden? What do you think of him?

I he’s too old to really hate. Yeah. You,

You don’t hate Biden, but

You can’t a guy with Alzheimer’s. Yeah. I

Mean, you

Control over it. Yeah. Maybe it’s, maybe it’s hate the deep state. I don’t wanna say it. Yeah, that’s right. That’s just because you’re, I’m not gonna say it seems like your generation likes, they just provide a lot of funds for, anyway, they were gonna forgive all the college debt and the 14 reasons they were buying off the young generation. Yeah.

That I would’ve paid for. Yeah. Yeah. And you would’ve paid for it.

None of that happened anyway, so good. I didn’t

Exactly, exactly.

Yeah. Anyway, I could, I’m over it. Sorry. This is a good, we’re good. That’s fine. The hate, the hate. I, let’s end on a positive note. So I want you to say something positive about Taylor Swift.

Some of her first music was actually decent.

Okay. Okay. I like it

When, when she didn’t own it.

I like it. Okay. Now she owns it now though, right?

Yeah. Yeah. That’s why I said some of the old stuff.

Yeah, yeah,

Yeah.

So, okay. Well, I like that. Logan, can you say something positive about Taylor? It’d

Probably be easier to say something positive about cash, which,

Yeah,

Let’s do that. What about, I can say, so

First I

Wanna hear, I can say something positive.

Say something positive about cash.

He didn’t abandon me on the top of Mountain Colorado when I was on my bed

When he was puking.

He, he’s a compassionate fellow. The

Puking is in your DN because your dad puked on me in 1953.

That’s true. Well, you, we were hiking. You hiked his guts out.

I hiked his guts out and he was, there was a fox following us and then he pukes and I’m like, I’m out. And he’s like, dude, it’s not even daylight. This thing’s following me. It’s gonna eat my puke. Anyway, so the puking is in your DNA, so you’re puking. He didn’t leave you. He didn’t.

What a

Good guy I want. I want you to say thank you for Thank

You Cash for

I’m alive. Hey, Ashley says something good about Lo Bear. It’s hard.

Can I have him minute to think on

We’re trending this podcast?

No. Logan’s a good, Logan’s a good egg. Probably give him a hard time. But he’s a good egg. He’s always willing to go and fill a hunt for you.

Yeah, he’s, he’s,

Even if he didn’t get

The tag, he’s a kind, he’s a kind soul. And he does, he does care about you. I don’t see,

Don’t see Logan in a bad, I don’t know if I’ve seen him in a bad mood, but I, no,

I don’t. I have once. I know I get, but I inflicted. I know.

I fully admit I get him bad news. I fully admit that. But there’s longer. Doesn’t

Seem to, I’ve seen him a little frustrated when I’ve ridden him just five minutes too long. Yeah. Or two minutes too long. He’s like, all right Jason, I’m over it.

I have, I have my boundaries.

He does have his lines. I crossed him once in a while.

Jason’s kind of wearing this Dr. Phil headset. He’s kind of, you know, matchmaking me. Yeah, you talk to you. You know, you tell him how you feel. You don’t,

This is good. We could have a pod, we could make a podcast therapy with Jason.

I feel well. I mean,

Deep thoughts with

Jason Carter. Jason Carter.

I’m not a therapist. I hear that word too often. Alright, off we go. Let’s have a good day. Let’s call it a podcast. Ty, congratulations. Thanks for coming on. Good work. Awesome. Way fun and appreciate you being here and sharing your story with us. And of course, learned a lot from you too. Cash. Yeah. Good work. It’s good. Off we go. It’s August. There’s a big year in front of us. Good luck everybody. Have a great weekend. Go
