We also talk a little about last minute opportunities and how to get out on a hunt if you didn’t draw a tag. We make a call to Cheston Davis of Pyro Putty and Phoneskope.

00:00:00:28 –> 00:00:05:29
September comes along, October comes along, November comes along, and the season’s still open. You might find a tag.

00:00:06:13 –> 00:00:09:10
It gives us a chance at a tag that I would’ve never had a chance at.

00:00:09:15 –> 00:00:12:23
We’ll give some ultra light out here at the end of the podcast. Anything

00:00:12:23 –> 00:00:13:28
To do with Western big Games.

00:00:17:08 –> 00:00:20:26
Welcome to the Epic Outdoors Podcast, powered by Under Armour.

00:00:21:20 –> 00:00:27:14
Hey everybody. Jason Carter. Adam Bronson, John Peterson. Of course. We got Devin and Wyatt here too. How about that boys?

00:00:28:03 –> 00:00:29:06
We’re all here today. Poss

00:00:29:15 –> 00:00:30:25
We’re We’re still under 10.

00:00:31:29 –> 00:00:36:14
Under 10. Trying don’t even to be outside of six feet. But these cords only go stretch so far.

00:00:37:05 –> 00:00:39:29
About five. Five foot six, I think. Yeah,

00:00:40:26 –> 00:00:48:20
Well probably get cited here soon. I also got Chris. He’s over there about 10 feet away on the keyboard as always. How you doing, Chris? I’m

00:00:48:20 –> 00:00:49:16
Good. Great.

00:00:49:20 –> 00:00:50:10
Right on

00:00:50:15 –> 00:00:58:13
Everything. All the numbers looking right Chris, we’re bouncing. We’re looking. Mics are hot. We’re looking good over here. Let’s crush this thing. Alright,

00:00:59:02 –> 00:01:09:01
Well today we just wanted to kinda get together. Of course there’s a, we need an update on these two single guys. Well, three. We look kind of single. Kind of married, half married, half single. I don’t know what you call it. Taken.

00:01:10:08 –> 00:01:10:23
Claimed.

00:01:11:03 –> 00:01:12:25
Claimed. And taken. Huh?

00:01:13:09 –> 00:01:13:24
Whipped.

00:01:14:12 –> 00:01:22:12
Whoa. John, come kind of feel like, like my life and relationship’s been aired out pretty good on the last few podcasts through phone calls.

00:01:22:24 –> 00:01:24:13
Let’s read the last text from your old gal

00:01:24:20 –> 00:01:25:23
Checking up on me. Yeah, she

00:01:25:23 –> 00:01:30:01
Has. She said, let Jason and Adam know our relationship has been strengthened because of

00:01:30:01 –> 00:01:30:12
The podcast.

00:01:30:18 –> 00:01:36:20
Yeah, because of the podcast and the Sunday stroll. Yep. Bring that up. So we are doing some good there. Good.

00:01:37:13 –> 00:01:49:25
It started bad when you, when you were describing your throes of agony, going, crawling to the truck, driving to the er and she wouldn’t answer your call. And you pointed that out that she didn’t even take your call. That started Rocky.

00:01:50:25 –> 00:01:53:01
Our problems though. You said that. Not us, but you said that, but

00:01:53:01 –> 00:02:01:22
You worked it all out. I need to take advice from some relationship probes like yourself, you know? Well, I saw that Jason had to hang up on Jana on the last podcast before things got too

00:02:01:24 –> 00:02:08:10
Wild. Yeah. And I didn’t say that and I didn’t hang up on her. I thought it was healthy. If we ended it on a high note

00:02:09:14 –> 00:02:10:07
On your turn and

00:02:10:09 –> 00:02:15:18
It was, it was heading in its direction. Slightly varying from happy. Yeah.

00:02:16:01 –> 00:02:18:29
So you just hit and on your terms. Well, pretty

00:02:18:29 –> 00:02:21:06
Much. Pretty much. That’s right. Watch. I love you.

00:02:22:00 –> 00:02:23:04
Watch and learn. Why? Why

00:02:23:11 –> 00:02:24:04
I’m learning fast.

00:02:24:13 –> 00:02:45:25
We got our paper mags April issue in the mail yesterday. Awesome. It looks awesome. So what a great magazine. It covers Nevada, Kansas, Montana, sheep, goat, moose, bison and antelope. So anyway, cranked forward, no issues whatsoever. Fully printed, everything’s happy. EAG was out. What’s been what,

00:02:46:14 –> 00:02:47:19
10 days? 10 days or so? Yeah,

00:02:47:22 –> 00:02:50:20
10 days Saturday. Prior to last Saturday. Yeah. So,

00:02:51:04 –> 00:03:27:10
So we’re here. Just to reiterate that as far as everybody, we’ve been getting plenty of phone calls. A lot of you are maybe sitting at home, not, not in an office setting anymore. And we’re here. Don’t think you can’t, you know, give us a call, bounce ideas office and how to apply and things like that. Nothing’s really changed. Being a small business has its advantages in a situation like this. We’re all here for all intents and purposes. Not one thing has changed. We we’re here to e answer emails, phone calls, all that. So That’s right. And I don’t see that changing at all. I don’t think, I don’t see how it can change.

00:03:27:13 –> 00:03:58:08
So, no, there’s papers continuing to be printed on and things are working well, going crazy. It’s awesome. So anyway, printers are happy. We’re happy. Online’s happy. Phones are happy. We’re, we’re just cranking like normal. So anyway, we have had a lot of guys kind of interested in how this covid corona type stuff is affecting everything. And honestly, we haven’t had that many people even backing out. Maybe a few doing points only, but people wanna hunt. You’re not gonna slow. Well I don’t, hunters down.

00:03:58:15 –> 00:05:04:23
Granted it’s gonna affect some people much harder than others and and understandable. So you gotta take care of your responsibilities. What’s most important. But yeah, I think that’s probably the only real change we’ve started to see some people is maybe develop more of a points only approach. But I don’t even want to characterize that as a big movement yet because I, it isn’t been a few people that have done that. One thing that I guess I would point out maybe a plug ourselves a little bit or our service a hundred dollars a year membership to Epic Outdoors gets the magazine, gets the access to the consultants and all the hunts, everything there. And I would contend, especially in a time like this, getting the magazine, getting it timely, getting it in your hands to be able to make a really good informed decision on how to apply or why to apply or if even to apply in a certain state that a hundred bucks you’d save all bet three to five times that in wise choices on either how you apply in a wasted application somewhere or whether you add something or do a state wrong.

00:05:05:08 –> 00:05:30:06
You know, apply for somewhere that doesn’t have random tax and Wyoming for elk or deer in some cases, or sheep or moose. You know, you’re saving 200 bucks if you just know how we’re not to apply. Or in the case of some states, do you just skip ’em this year, just sit ’em out and save a couple hundred bucks with some of the rising costs that some of these states are, you know, making us pay to play, so to speak.

00:05:30:06 –> 00:05:51:24
Well, just like not, maybe, maybe, you know, not partaking in the, say the point system for Wyoming if you’re just starting out for like sheep and moose. Yeah, right there. That’s a savings. We saved a lot of people some money on that. Just saying one or two pieces of information’s worth a hundred bucks worth the price of admission. That’s right. That’s right. And Bronson and I, what really brought it home is we’ve, we’ve been applying our kids and our wives right

00:05:52:17 –> 00:05:59:22
This, this last week or so. You get a little downtime and we’re like, we’re applied all the way out through hunt states that are due in mid-May. Well

00:05:59:29 –> 00:06:00:17
’cause it’s fun

00:06:01:01 –> 00:06:01:24
And we’re right,

00:06:02:05 –> 00:06:02:16
We’re,

00:06:02:16 –> 00:06:08:12
We’re bored. So we go home, we come to work. That’s right. That’s shed hunt a little bit on the

00:06:08:12 –> 00:06:20:05
Side and you can only talk about everybody else’s application so long before we’re wanting to apply ourselves. So we’re applying ourselves. I apply me, Jana, Colton, and Sean. Okay. Four adults in Nevada. What do you think that cost me?

00:06:20:21 –> 00:06:22:17
1200 thousand.

00:06:22:18 –> 00:06:40:12
Okay. Could’ve It was dang close to a grand. Okay. I’m just saying a hundred bucks for the mag per year. It’s nothing. It’s chicken feed compared to what these states are costing us. Especially if you’re applying for your families and then you add that times a few other states. Right. Colorado you get points for Colorado sheep, goat, moose, whatever. Yeah. Pretty soon. Wyoming

00:06:40:22 –> 00:06:41:02
Bison.

00:06:41:23 –> 00:06:42:12
Did you do that?

00:06:43:09 –> 00:06:43:22
That’s

00:06:43:22 –> 00:06:49:17
Affirmative. Did you notice? Yeah, they smoked some bison on, what was it K S L or Fox? I think it was K SS L. Yeah.

00:06:49:20 –> 00:06:57:07
But it looked like to me why you could correct me if I’m wrong, Wyatt I think was did a little reading on that as well. It looked like it was from the northern yellow of Storm Road.

00:06:57:07 –> 00:06:58:12
Yeah. More up towards the

00:06:58:12 –> 00:07:06:08
Gardner herd leaking. That’s where they Yeah. Had a lot of tribal harvest as well as just slaughter just to try to get the numbers down. And so I

00:07:06:08 –> 00:07:21:11
Don’t quite understand the tribal thing versus everybody having an opportunity to take some meat home. So, but anyway, but they did, they allowed the travel to go in and be able to, you know, grab onto some bison meat and take it home. What do they’ve killed? Like 800 and something wet. Did you read?

00:07:21:14 –> 00:07:23:02
Yeah, six to 900 or something

00:07:23:02 –> 00:07:31:20
That they’re shooting for six to 900 and I think they’ve smoked, I wanna say 800 so far. 800 something. So out of 4,600 they’re trying to still Yeah. Curb the herd

00:07:31:20 –> 00:07:37:11
That Southern Yellowstone herd and Grand Teton herds unaffected. And one of those bulls is waiting for a bullet. And

00:07:37:11 –> 00:07:40:25
I said Bronson’s wanting to do a smash and grab for a Wyoming bison.

00:07:41:02 –> 00:07:42:04
I don’t think that. And what did,

00:07:42:04 –> 00:07:43:17
What did our buddy McKenzie sim say?

00:07:43:22 –> 00:07:47:02
He said that he was 52 days into the two bulls that they’ve killed.

00:07:47:20 –> 00:07:51:25
Pretty crazy condition. Okay. But one was extremely long, the other one was a little more of a smashing ground.

00:07:51:26 –> 00:07:53:11
Yes. They kind of figured out what they were

00:07:53:11 –> 00:07:56:13
Doing. I am not plenty of shorter time. No, no, no.

00:07:56:26 –> 00:08:00:12
Moose and Montana. Moose and Montana. What did you end up doing Up, up there? No.

00:08:00:12 –> 00:08:02:12
Well, I, I haven’t, haven’t It’s

00:08:02:12 –> 00:08:02:18
Time.

00:08:03:18 –> 00:08:14:04
I know I got a month. But regarding the bison there a grab implies shoot, drag the truck and drive home. Yeah. That doesn’t, you’re

00:08:14:04 –> 00:08:17:25
Not really doing that. You’re gonna winch with two or three inches. Yeah. 14 friends. And

00:08:17:25 –> 00:08:20:05
Then you’re worried about, ’cause you’re near gonna

00:08:20:05 –> 00:08:22:08
Get the tag and drag guys maybe. I don’t know. That’s

00:08:22:08 –> 00:08:33:05
Right. Anybody that can help you get every salvageable piece of meat in your truck because you’re right there in front of the world. You got national parks, you got national elk refuges. You don’t want flanks to go, you’re

00:08:33:15 –> 00:08:35:23
Lax don’t through 14 different states trying to get

00:08:35:25 –> 00:08:40:25
Home. You don’t need, there’s no, there’s nothing about shooting a bison anywhere that is a smashing grass and you’re

00:08:40:25 –> 00:08:41:28
Trying to beat the grizzlies.

00:08:42:19 –> 00:08:42:25
Oh,

00:08:42:25 –> 00:08:46:16
Good point. Yeah. I need, that’s little research well look at

00:08:46:25 –> 00:08:47:02
To do.

00:08:47:29 –> 00:08:48:17
Find out what

00:08:48:17 –> 00:08:50:14
The mean. Hopefully they’re barreled in

00:08:50:14 –> 00:08:56:16
Aden. I gotta find the mean dening date for all females with cubs. At least I need

00:08:56:27 –> 00:09:01:22
And do you need to, do we have, have some print deadlines? Keep in mind during those timeframes, you gotta work in and around the

00:09:01:22 –> 00:09:03:04
Print deadlines. Well, it starts August 15th.

00:09:03:14 –> 00:09:14:25
Okay. Goes till January. Goes till end of January. That’s my point. Lot of guys went to the end of January. One year. First year Sims was up there. Alright, well anyway, enough about that. Even if

00:09:14:25 –> 00:09:17:08
I pull out, I don’t think I’m getting that money back. No,

00:09:17:22 –> 00:09:24:28
Not for a little while. Right. But the good thing is, is it’ll be a little bit of a birthday gift or something. When you get that money back, what are you gonna do with it? You gonna buy anything?

00:09:25:05 –> 00:09:28:08
Well, it goes right back on the card. So really it’s not my money.

00:09:28:24 –> 00:09:33:05
I don’t pay the card off. Pay the card off, get a little surplus. Wife never

00:09:33:05 –> 00:09:34:16
Knows. It’s all semantics. These are all part of the

00:09:34:16 –> 00:09:35:01
Relationships.

00:09:35:01 –> 00:09:47:28
It’s all semantic Carter. If I go pay that 4,500 bucks off and then get it back, it’s, it’s just, it’s the show game we’ve talked about that’s before with our wives. That’s it Doesn’t matter. That’s right. It’s just let it come back anyway. But,

00:09:48:05 –> 00:09:48:25
All right. Well

00:09:49:12 –> 00:10:06:29
I did hear this, I hear something today before we maybe di dive into some other stuff. I heard the cooped upness. If, however, we word that causes us to talk about and research some weird things. And I heard something today. Jason, I need you to clarify what, come on. What I think I heard. I

00:10:06:29 –> 00:10:09:12
Didn bring any sticky notes to the game today. Come

00:10:09:12 –> 00:10:26:11
On. I know, but this is the only thing I wrote down and it’s just barely happened. I, I heard you either talking to somebody or asking me for, and it sounded like you were talking about for yourself, but just clarify. That’s all. I’m, that’s all we’re doing. Maybe I heard it wrong. We all have offices near each other. We have windows.

00:10:26:20 –> 00:10:27:24
I’m not applying for cow tags.

00:10:28:02 –> 00:10:34:12
Okay. Well it was researching over the counter archery, cow elk opportunities. Take it

00:10:34:12 –> 00:10:43:24
From here. No, it was, no, there was a, there was a, a client that wanted to know some of the cow elk opportunities in Colorado and Utah. Well,

00:10:43:24 –> 00:10:44:02
I thought

00:10:44:09 –> 00:10:50:05
This, so I, I went through, I didn’t research. I went through and made some, you know. Okay. Some simple. Alright,

00:10:50:05 –> 00:10:54:01
Just making sure you made the statement. You’re getting low on elk meat earlier in

00:10:54:01 –> 00:10:54:28
Podcast. That’s true. I

00:10:54:28 –> 00:10:57:00
Am. And so I didn’t know if that’s where you go.

00:10:57:02 –> 00:11:10:04
I have a hard time shooting mamas. I just, but I’m not saying it doesn’t need to be done in certain cases. I’m not saying that people shouldn’t do it. I’m just saying I I like the bulls they produce. I’m just saying, I don’t know. I have a hard time with it. Just making

00:11:10:04 –> 00:11:14:16
Sure. I didn’t know if we had another hunt on the schedule that we needed to all be aware of and plan around.

00:11:14:16 –> 00:11:14:29
No, no.

00:11:14:29 –> 00:11:16:06
Maybe videographer.

00:11:16:07 –> 00:11:23:12
No. No. Never killed a cow or a dough ever. Okay. Believable. Yes or no. I’ll

00:11:23:12 –> 00:11:24:01
Just have to take your

00:11:24:01 –> 00:11:24:22
Word. Call me a liar.

00:11:25:05 –> 00:11:27:06
I can’t refute that in any way. I haven’t All

00:11:27:06 –> 00:11:30:04
Right. Followed you along. How about you guys? You guys killed any mamas?

00:11:30:04 –> 00:11:31:12
Oh yeah. Been there. Done that

00:11:31:24 –> 00:11:40:16
Boom. Smashing crap. Yeah. Elk makes great dude. It is, it is actually awesome. John. Nope. Chris? No. Anyway, not saying it’s not. I mean with, with

00:11:40:17 –> 00:11:47:19
A car or a truck. Multiple Wyatt. We know that that little toys isn’t not seen that Chris.

00:11:47:24 –> 00:11:50:23
Yeah. Wyatt’s little truck. Yeah. What was that? His perm

00:11:50:23 –> 00:12:04:01
Frown. That was a, a ponti dough actually. Was that Yeah. Crossing highway 89. A little too late before the fence? No, it was in the gap. More north. Oh, closer to town. North country. Oh, 89. And you were going downhill with the wind

00:12:04:01 –> 00:12:04:06
At

00:12:04:06 –> 00:12:10:29
Your back Probably. Yeah. It couldn’t get stuffed in time. It just kind of bounced off the truck and got off and ran off. Happy after I got up.

00:12:11:02 –> 00:12:12:29
It bounced off. ’cause it looked like it wore it.

00:12:13:13 –> 00:12:16:25
Oh no, it just bent a little bit of plastic. I mean it’s, it wasn’t even hurt.

00:12:17:04 –> 00:12:22:23
I don’t know. Bouncing bumper. The bumper. It looks like a framed bumper to me. Bumper. It looks like a framed tweak.

00:12:22:28 –> 00:12:45:02
The bumper’s tinfoil. If you walk out there and look at it, I think Wyatt, ’cause we brought up on the podcast about possibly making them an offer on this stick shift for, for banger for one of our kids. Six cylinder here. It’s a six. Yeah. What? Okay, well that, yep. And he got, I’m more interested, but now he’s defending this thing as a tough, rugged son of a gun. Oh yeah. I mean, no, the other day.

00:12:45:10 –> 00:12:45:19
The other,

00:12:45:27 –> 00:12:46:24
They’re definitely one.

00:12:47:07 –> 00:12:56:29
The other day he says, you know, I did go visit my old lady and if you, if you call me a liar, but it made it, I actually drove to her house in back. I’m like, no way.

00:12:57:04 –> 00:13:02:11
Wow. It has what, three weekends in a row or something now. Geez. Borrowed time. That’s what they call that.

00:13:02:22 –> 00:13:04:14
Hey, he’s went to visit her three times in a row.

00:13:04:17 –> 00:13:04:28
Going

00:13:04:28 –> 00:13:10:05
Strong. That’s that’s a big deal. That’s awesome. You’re doing good there, Wyatt. That’s probably helped your relationship more than we have.

00:13:10:23 –> 00:13:11:11
Never know.

00:13:11:20 –> 00:13:13:11
And then you’ve made it, you’ve made it back. That’s,

00:13:13:13 –> 00:13:13:26
We haven’t done

00:13:14:01 –> 00:13:21:24
Anything. Alright. So enough of the dough and cow stories. What are we gonna, what are we gonna, let’s, let’s, should we call somebody real quick? Yeah.

00:13:21:24 –> 00:13:26:00
We started that last time. Let’s try it. Call somebody ran it. Do a little cold call. Cold

00:13:26:00 –> 00:13:27:11
Call. Let’s call Epic.

00:13:27:12 –> 00:13:32:22
A cold call series. He Who do you want? He Jeff call

00:13:32:22 –> 00:13:37:04
He Jeff. John. I think he’s pouring concrete or doing a foundation

00:13:37:04 –> 00:13:37:26
Or something. Well,

00:13:37:28 –> 00:13:45:08
No, hold on. Let’s see what he’s gotta say. Oh yeah, absolutely. Hello. Oh, that’s what he is gonna say. I’m just thinking

00:13:45:26 –> 00:13:46:17
What’s happening.

00:13:47:18 –> 00:13:48:22
I missed it. How are you?

00:13:49:27 –> 00:13:51:05
I’m good. I’m good.

00:13:51:05 –> 00:13:53:06
You’re, you’re on the Epic Outdoors podcast. Sean, where are

00:13:53:06 –> 00:13:53:28
You at today, boss?

00:13:55:01 –> 00:13:56:00
I’m on the podcast.

00:13:57:08 –> 00:13:57:17
Geez.

00:13:58:05 –> 00:13:58:16
Where

00:13:58:16 –> 00:14:00:01
Are you at? Where you at

00:14:00:01 –> 00:14:06:25
Today? I, I am down in a foundation shooting grade on some grade stakes. How about

00:14:06:25 –> 00:14:09:07
That? Oh, this is your, this is your house.

00:14:09:12 –> 00:14:10:04
Whatever, whatever.

00:14:10:18 –> 00:14:11:16
This is my house. Yes.

00:14:11:16 –> 00:14:14:01
You’re wearing the surveyor hat today. That’s what I just heard.

00:14:14:09 –> 00:14:18:04
Well, not surveyor, just concrete guy hat. That’s basically what I’m

00:14:18:04 –> 00:14:20:14
Wearing. Oh. Got the kids working slave

00:14:20:14 –> 00:14:20:22
Labor.

00:14:20:28 –> 00:14:26:00
Oh, they’re doing school right now. They got about oh half an hour and then they’ll probably be over

00:14:26:07 –> 00:14:28:20
Home homeschooling with the Corona. You guys,

00:14:28:28 –> 00:14:31:25
You guys got nothing better to do, but call and bug me. What the heck.

00:14:32:14 –> 00:14:32:23
Some

00:14:32:23 –> 00:14:34:01
Kind of news happening somewhere.

00:14:35:09 –> 00:14:38:19
We’re just wondering about your application plans for this year in Colorado.

00:14:39:13 –> 00:14:44:13
Oh yeah. You’re gonna put me on the spot first. I’m just following suit after you. So you tell me what you’re doing.

00:14:45:00 –> 00:14:51:16
What I’m doing. Jeff. Jeff. Hey Jeff. Have you been listening to the most recent podcast? Recent?

00:14:52:01 –> 00:14:59:17
You know, I missed the last one. I’ve had a busy few days here, so, alright, so yeah, I need to, I need to get caught up. I, Jeff, I missed the last one.

00:14:59:17 –> 00:15:04:12
There is some opportunities there that we talk about in Colorado. Might give you some plans that might help you out.

00:15:04:27 –> 00:15:07:16
Ooh, Jeff. There was better.

00:15:08:04 –> 00:15:27:14
There was also tell you’re out. So Jeff’s building a house right now, and you had out on your job site, you had a, i, I don’t know the right porta-potty, right? You had one sitting there Yes. Like three weeks ago. And you went there and it had like four rolls of TP in it the night before and the next morning they were stolen. Right. All everything out.

00:15:27:20 –> 00:15:48:24
So, well, so, so the guys that set it up, man, they had a bunch of just roll state pile inside the, like inside the, the porta potty. Well, I come like, after the whole craze about the coronavirus deal, I go there and they’re, there’s nothing. I’m like, you’ve gotta be kidding me.

00:15:48:29 –> 00:15:50:14
Lock your port potty at night.

00:15:51:03 –> 00:16:00:06
Yeah. If you’re after porta potty toilet paper, like that is, that is just one step away from, from, you know, that’s like 300. That’s true. Desperation.

00:16:00:06 –> 00:16:02:29
That’s like 300 gr sandpaper. Pretty much. Yeah. You

00:16:02:29 –> 00:16:09:17
Put a roll at, if you, if you put a roll of toilet paper in your window, in your, on your dash, you’re gonna get broke into

00:16:10:04 –> 00:16:24:01
Oh yeah. You may, you may just do it. Yeah. And the the other thing you worry about now is, is if, if they’re desperate enough to do that, I’m a little worried about somebody just moving into the porta potty. I don’t know. I mean, what, what’s, what’s next here?

00:16:25:06 –> 00:16:44:04
I don’t know. I might take it down and just have a shovel out on the front of your lot and say, Hey, we need to go, go in the back. Take the shovel boss. And I mean, I don’t know, just social distance. Don’t think you wanna, I don’t think you wanna be liable, Jeff for a congregational place like a porta potty on your property. I I’m just calling a spade.

00:16:44:08 –> 00:16:48:16
Yeah, that might be a, that might be a liability factor. We better check the insurance policy. Make sure.

00:16:48:26 –> 00:16:53:12
So Jeff, I just, I got a question. So when you’re, you’re renting at the moment, just because you’re in between homes.

00:16:53:23 –> 00:16:54:22
Yeah. Sold one.

00:16:54:29 –> 00:17:01:19
Sold one. Now you’re trying to build one and doing it with child labor. Do you, are you adhering to the child labor laws and things like that?

00:17:02:08 –> 00:17:03:07
I promise you I’m not,

00:17:04:01 –> 00:17:10:28
I don’t think anybody’s out working that’s able to come and check you anyway. I think everybody’s safe. You can go do anything you, you want nowadays. Everybody,

00:17:10:28 –> 00:17:13:06
They can’t check me from their office. That’s true. No, they’re

00:17:13:06 –> 00:17:13:08
Not

00:17:13:08 –> 00:17:16:11
Gonna, no, they’re not gonna, they might get the Corona and your You’re fine.

00:17:16:17 –> 00:17:21:11
And your boys are happy. They’re making a little bit of cash and they’re getting their hands

00:17:21:17 –> 00:17:24:01
Dirty. Oh, I’ll be so glad to get back in school. I, I

00:17:24:07 –> 00:17:25:25
Oh, you’re working ’em, huh? I have them About

00:17:25:25 –> 00:17:30:22
Where else? I thought your wife told your wife, told my wife. You guys might just continue with this homeschooling.

00:17:32:22 –> 00:17:44:29
I don’t know if that’s true or not. I don’t know. That’s her department, not mine. I’m not taking on that. And plus I’m not smart enough to teach ’em anything anyway. I mean, they start talking about homework, you know, what they’re learning in school. I’m like, whoa. That’s about my,

00:17:45:07 –> 00:18:13:29
My kids. My kids don’t even talk to me about school. It’s not about hunting. They think I know nothing and they’re kind, kind of, kind of Right. But anyway, real, real quick on the question was, is the nesting mama mama’s like to nest? And I’m just wondering is like, you’re supposed to be outta that house like by May and supposed to be into the one that you’re building, right? And so yeah. That’s, how does that play into mama wanting to nest and the and the pressure that you feel as a provider and a husband

00:18:13:29 –> 00:18:16:06
With Covid Ovid 19 superimposed upon it all?

00:18:16:09 –> 00:18:30:14
Well, the, the one thing, the one thing that I think we have decided that is a major advantage is rents should be going down. We should be able to find a place, a desperate person who, who will let us stay there for a couple months. That’s, that’s my biggest concern right now. I

00:18:30:14 –> 00:18:30:29
Don’t think so. How

00:18:30:29 –> 00:18:32:06
Are we making that court? I’m just wrong.

00:18:32:09 –> 00:18:35:20
How are you? I think in tough, tough times, usually rents go up.

00:18:36:25 –> 00:18:38:00
Ooh. I hope they don’t,

00:18:38:04 –> 00:18:40:04
I don’t bad economies mean rent goes up. I paying

00:18:40:07 –> 00:18:41:20
A retarded amount right now for the,

00:18:42:02 –> 00:18:50:19
Well the good the good thing is, is it’s getting warmer and you own a camp. Okay? You own a camp trailer. So if push comes to shove, you can put we might have

00:18:50:19 –> 00:18:53:04
Camper right here hooked up to the office. Yeah, we

00:18:53:04 –> 00:18:54:07
Might. I’m gonna, well

00:18:54:17 –> 00:19:01:01
John, keep an eye on the back electrical thing and Jeff can plumb, he could plumb into the sewer.

00:19:01:08 –> 00:19:05:01
That’s I’m worried about. That’s I’m worried about. Alright Joe, he needs to be paying his portions.

00:19:06:00 –> 00:19:15:06
Well, okay, now this, this is the thing that I’ve already decided. Jason’s got this great big basement that’s only got like two kids in it. So I’ve got a lot of food storage. I’ve

00:19:15:06 –> 00:19:17:11
Got a lot. I Hey, bring your cash, bring your food.

00:19:18:14 –> 00:19:18:29
There’s

00:19:18:29 –> 00:19:22:00
A kitchen down there. There’s a bathroom.

00:19:22:07 –> 00:19:25:18
He’s got, he’s got an empty safe he’ll source any cash you need in there.

00:19:26:02 –> 00:19:33:06
Whatever I got. Yep. Bring your cash, bring your food. How much toilet paper you got? Yeah. Got enough toilet paper for 13 days.

00:19:33:22 –> 00:19:42:08
You got gotta pick on family members. It’s just any, anytime you invite somebody over or anything, even if it wasn’t the Covid-19 situation, it’s just a A B Y O tp.

00:19:44:14 –> 00:19:48:08
Right on. Right on. All right. Well do good things down there. Well get back to work.

00:19:48:24 –> 00:20:00:14
Make sure it drains and grades and your pipes aren’t covered in concrete and you’re, you betcha yelling at your plumber because you got the, you know, cement guy hat on right now and the plumber hat’s on tomorrow. And you’re mag the pipes are full of concrete.

00:20:00:17 –> 00:20:04:05
We’re still busy. That’s right. We’re, we’re still busy down here so come by once in a while.

00:20:04:21 –> 00:20:06:12
Will do. Will do man. Alright, you guys

00:20:06:12 –> 00:20:10:01
Be good. Talk to see ya. You never know with Jeff.

00:20:10:23 –> 00:20:11:06
Perfect.

00:20:12:18 –> 00:20:12:29
It’s just

00:20:12:29 –> 00:20:16:13
What we’re looking for out of this segment. Who you calling now? Is it ringing?

00:20:16:26 –> 00:20:24:26
No, it’s not. No. So anyway, where does that bring us? What do you guys got going on in your office? What have you been up to? Wyatt Just

00:20:24:26 –> 00:20:28:12
Still working on Colorado. That deadline’s coming up quick still. This

00:20:28:12 –> 00:20:28:26
Is April 7th.

00:20:29:11 –> 00:20:46:25
Six days now. Yeah, six days. So yeah. Yeah. What are some of the, we talked, we hinted last week. I don’t wanna belabor it, but anything new tips to be able to get in. It’s, you know, the whole port of username password is probably the biggest trick, right? Yeah. Just to get that figured out and get into your account and get applied. Like Adam

00:20:46:25 –> 00:21:01:01
Said earlier, it doesn’t seem like people are, you know, I’ve got got that question a lot. People are calling in saying, you know, are you feeling a like guys shying away from it at all and we’re just not, you know, guys are calling in and it’s not whether they’re going to apply or not, it’s where to apply. Right?

00:21:01:02 –> 00:21:09:29
That’s right. I feel the same thing. And we do have a few cancellations or has been some of that with the fully guided hunts. Devin, that’s your department. Tell us a little bit about that.

00:21:09:29 –> 00:21:14:00
Yeah, just getting those updates all the time. You know, every day new stuff comes through. So

00:21:14:08 –> 00:21:17:07
Yeah. So you got a few of those. You got some people that are looking and

00:21:17:07 –> 00:21:20:08
I don’t think, it hasn’t been, there hasn’t been that many. Been some

00:21:20:08 –> 00:21:22:18
Turkey hunts. We talked to a guy or two today, right?

00:21:22:27 –> 00:21:24:16
Yeah. Turkey hunts and mountain.

00:21:24:17 –> 00:21:28:28
You want go kill some turkeys mountain? I mean, turkey’s got a free pass this year, right? It’s a spring

00:21:28:28 –> 00:21:30:17
Bear. Well I’m think about spring bears in last.

00:21:31:12 –> 00:21:41:14
Well, or think about like San Juan Bronson where you’re from down there. They got where you got, you can’t camp down there now you’re, what’d they say? What about this pulling over? You pull over two or three times, you get a fine. Yeah. Yeah.

00:21:41:15 –> 00:21:45:22
Any non-resident down there. Supposedly if you get pulled over three times, it’s a fine. You’re

00:21:45:22 –> 00:21:46:07
Not for san down,

00:21:46:07 –> 00:21:50:01
Not pulled over for speeding. We’re talking about you, you outside, show me outside of your county driving license.

00:21:50:02 –> 00:21:51:28
And if it’s not in San Juan County Yep.

00:21:52:10 –> 00:21:52:23
You’re

00:21:52:23 –> 00:21:56:29
You’re in violation. Yeah. Right. Three times 2,500 straight to jail. Right. Sounds

00:21:56:29 –> 00:22:02:17
Like they kind of had to impose that. ’cause you know, grand County did something like that. Moved everyone south and

00:22:02:21 –> 00:22:05:08
Displaced all the Moab folks. Well

00:22:05:08 –> 00:22:16:26
There are a lot of people like to go visit. That’s some gorgeous countries. It’s Yeah. You know, but it’s gonna hurt us as hunters. And so you, Devin, you came up with a plan, a solution you go in overnight. Oh, huh. What?

00:22:17:13 –> 00:22:22:02
I’m just saying if it was August, the bow hunt was here or something. I mean, do you think we’re gonna stay at home?

00:22:22:11 –> 00:22:23:11
Well, I don’t, I don’t think so.

00:22:23:12 –> 00:22:27:01
I mean Yeah, yeah. You know, we would but middle of the night I’d be

00:22:27:05 –> 00:22:28:07
Quote would. Yeah. I

00:22:28:07 –> 00:22:30:12
Mean you’d little brown rig you’d have to

00:22:30:12 –> 00:22:32:25
Your unit. Yeah. You’d have to get to your unit and just stay

00:22:32:25 –> 00:22:35:00
There and then, and then have somebody drop you off like

00:22:35:29 –> 00:22:40:02
Well no, just hide the little brown rig in a little wash. He could hide that in a ditch. Oh yeah.

00:22:40:09 –> 00:22:40:24
Oh yeah.

00:22:40:25 –> 00:22:42:11
It’s only like six

00:22:42:11 –> 00:22:46:11
Feet tall. Yeah. You throw a camo tarp over that thing, you’re done man. Some Gilly carp.

00:22:46:11 –> 00:22:47:22
It makes a great blind. Yeah.

00:22:47:22 –> 00:22:49:06
Good clay rig. They can’t see it

00:22:50:02 –> 00:22:53:06
Down there. All those spring turkeys. And spring bears might be, they’re gonna

00:22:53:06 –> 00:22:55:05
Be frolicking together. I

00:22:55:05 –> 00:22:58:07
Don’t know about Yeah, it’ll be interest. Took it on the chin pretty hard last year. It’ll

00:22:58:07 –> 00:23:00:12
Be interesting to see what happens. You know, just,

00:23:00:18 –> 00:23:03:04
Yeah, it’s a lot of that going on. I can’t

00:23:03:04 –> 00:23:05:07
Wait for Turkey season. Just ’cause it’s something.

00:23:05:26 –> 00:23:10:07
Well it’s something. And you might be by yourself ’cause everybody’s hanging tight, you know, like they should be.

00:23:10:27 –> 00:23:15:24
We’ve got 16 days to Arizona. Isn’t that when that starts for our kids?

00:23:15:27 –> 00:23:16:06
Yeah.

00:23:16:08 –> 00:23:17:01
I think it’s 17th.

00:23:17:05 –> 00:23:27:23
It is. No, I want Yeah. 16th, somewhere in there for the youth Turkey hunt in Arizona. Over the counter. Yeah. For kids. That’s the best opportunity in the world. I love that. Naive

00:23:27:26 –> 00:23:28:06
Birds.

00:23:28:16 –> 00:23:35:05
So you’ve got some openings and you’re also keeping a list of the guys that want some of those hunts, like some of the cancellations. There’s guys looking to go. Yeah.

00:23:35:05 –> 00:23:44:25
Yeah. If you’re, if you’re looking for a specific species or hunt or something, you know, I mean, call me and we’ll put you on the list if something comes up. We’ll, yeah, I mean, I go, I I go through it all the time, you know. Do you? Yeah. If something comes up.

00:23:45:05 –> 00:23:48:13
Yeah. Right on. We do, we keep an eye on it. We keep a list of it. So, okay.

00:23:48:19 –> 00:24:08:00
We realize hunter’s plans change. You draw a tag or two and now you’re not, you’re not looking for a cancellation call dev and say, Hey, I’m not on your hot list anymore. But if May or early June comes around when, you know, 90% of the states are done drawn, especially that’s the time gets pretty critical. For sure. Yeah. From June on is when final deposits.

00:24:08:11 –> 00:24:08:19
Whoa,

00:24:09:07 –> 00:24:11:02
Whoa. Jeff Censorship

00:24:11:06 –> 00:24:18:19
Jeff, but, but dialed me. He hit me. Oh wow. And we can call him and give him some more grief, but he, he ended that fast. That scared the crap outta me. Yeah.

00:24:19:06 –> 00:24:20:07
Turn that. Call you down.

00:24:21:09 –> 00:24:25:06
Let’s call, let’s call over at phone scope. See what he’s got going on real quick.

00:24:25:06 –> 00:24:27:04
Is they’re quarantined up there in Beaver, Utah.

00:24:27:11 –> 00:24:32:05
Yeah, well he’s too back and forth. Beaver to cedar. I don’t know. Let’s see what he’s got to say.

00:24:33:12 –> 00:24:33:23
Hello.

00:24:34:00 –> 00:24:34:28
Where are you at now?

00:24:36:01 –> 00:24:38:19
I’m at my office. Are you? Yeah.

00:24:39:02 –> 00:24:42:14
Doing work or you just acting like you’re doing work, telling your wife you do work.

00:24:43:26 –> 00:24:51:10
You know, I told her last night, I says, trust me, if I don’t have anything to do, I will not be down there. I would much rather be home doing something out in the yard. Such

00:24:51:10 –> 00:24:56:16
A liar. Picking up the dog. Crap. You’re such a liar. We’re all

00:24:56:19 –> 00:25:00:11
Here. We can’t buy our I’m alive anymore. I’m right right now. Huh?

00:25:00:15 –> 00:25:00:22
No

00:25:00:26 –> 00:25:01:02
Way.

00:25:01:17 –> 00:25:01:28
Trust.

00:25:01:28 –> 00:25:02:22
Nobody says that.

00:25:03:07 –> 00:25:07:01
I wanna be right by your side, honey. Digging and ditches. Me and you. Well, hell yeah. I

00:25:07:14 –> 00:25:07:29
Flowers,

00:25:08:27 –> 00:25:13:00
Glass flowers, tulips, perennials, something

00:25:13:05 –> 00:25:17:23
To relieve the stress and pressure in my life. Nothing like gardening and flowery love.

00:25:18:20 –> 00:25:20:17
You don’t have stress and pressure do you?

00:25:21:14 –> 00:25:21:20
No.

00:25:22:06 –> 00:25:30:02
Phone scope’s doing good. Hell no. What do you got going on? Phone scope, cooler trays. Pyro. Putty. What don’t you do Justin? Oh

00:25:30:05 –> 00:25:35:13
Man. I think I told you the only I don’t do is Honey magazine. ’cause you guys would do it better than me and I wouldn’t like that.

00:25:35:21 –> 00:25:37:19
That’s right. Remember that? Remember that.

00:25:38:16 –> 00:25:39:29
I will. I’ve closed that for years.

00:25:42:03 –> 00:25:48:17
Have you seen a, have you seen a rash on, you know, has the pyro putty been flying out like toilet paper as well lately or,

00:25:48:21 –> 00:25:55:20
Oh dude, it’s been crazy. Yeah, it’s literally just been, has it, I can’t believe, oh, I cannot believe doo believe how much we’re selling doo

00:25:56:14 –> 00:25:58:02
On just emergency essentials.

00:25:58:02 –> 00:26:08:01
It’s a must have for your 72 hour kit. People in Italy are ready for everything to be done and they, they’ve gotta build fires. They gotta boil their water. They couldn’t buy it in the store.

00:26:08:18 –> 00:26:44:19
Holy cow. You know, I had to, so I had to buy an engine for my little Toyota. And so when I called the guys to get it, they were like, you’ve gotta wait in line. This is like, we’ve got a huge orders coming in like crazy. I said, for what? And he goes, the preppers. The preppers are just coming out and for Yeah. Coming out and force, getting their cars ready, everything ready so they can hunker down and get extra engine. I don’t know, you know. So anyway, I had to wait my turn. So anyway. That’s funny. There you go. I don’t know, I’d, I’d never guessed. So what about the phone scope side of things? Things good?

00:26:45:09 –> 00:27:18:08
Yeah, things are great on the phone scope side. People are still getting out. You know, that’s one thing that’s great. I’ve spent more time out in the mountains with my three kids and my wife in the last three weeks because after work, that’s the best place for me to isolate. I’m, I cannot just sit and do nothing. Yeah. It’s just not me. So we’ve been burning, pyro, putty and cooking hot dogs and we’ve literally, you know, it’s honestly, it’s been, it’s been awesome. I can’t complain one bit. I feel like it’s something that the world has got away from that needs to be brought back to life. If that makes sense.

00:27:18:13 –> 00:27:26:01
Yeah. The basics of killing an animal, roasting on a fire and eating it. I mean that’s just boil it down to Exactly. We all came from that.

00:27:26:07 –> 00:27:32:26
So the women that have been complaining too much that all we do is work and hunt now don’t have a leg to stand on ’cause we’re doing nothing but family time. That’s

00:27:32:26 –> 00:27:33:19
Right. And that’s exactly

00:27:33:19 –> 00:27:34:17
Nothing but family time.

00:27:34:21 –> 00:27:38:12
And they’re grateful that we can hunt and provide if needed.

00:27:39:14 –> 00:27:41:24
They don’t wanna admit that, but they are. They

00:27:41:24 –> 00:27:42:07
Are. Oh

00:27:42:07 –> 00:27:43:20
They, that is true. True.

00:27:43:20 –> 00:28:00:07
No question. No question. They think they’ve got it. Good. I did have a good, good friend of mine that says, you know, it’s nice this, this covid stuff’s making it to where my kids are out digging holes in the backyard and playing games together and actually have a childhood like we had, who knew? You

00:28:00:07 –> 00:28:02:17
Know, instead of being in their bedroom on their phone.

00:28:02:17 –> 00:28:23:17
Yeah, yeah. On their devices or going out with friends and being on their devices. You know what I mean? Yeah, no, that’s very true. Kind of crazy. Well, tell us about the pyro. Put it, you got anything in the works? Anything new? You’re a marketer, you’re a heck of a good marketer. Just we, you know, sometimes you give us a good idea here and there. Tell us what’s new at your place. Pyro, putty wise or anything else?

00:28:24:05 –> 00:29:11:16
Yeah, so a couple cool things. You got. So pyro putty, we’ve released up at the Salt Lake Hunting Expo, a brand new blend called the Ultra, like it’s the lightest formulation per volume still has as much as our other blends. But this stuff lights up like you’ve never seen. So we kind of did this more for your back hunters, for your sheep hunters. It’s, it’s something that everybody’s long wanted. The operating temperature is ideal for your hunting and your outdoory type technology. We’ve tried it in the snow and it burns when we’re snowmobile one day. But it doesn’t light as easy as our winter blend. But when you’re gonna be hunting, this is gonna be more of your prime time. It’s raining, let’s get a fire going. It’s cool stuff. And so I need to get you guys some stuff over to play with and we can even give some away on your, on the podcast.

00:29:12:09 –> 00:29:17:14
Yeah, let’s give some away right now. Yeah, Chris, we’ll figure it out here. Are you good with it? We’ll,

00:29:17:18 –> 00:29:27:02
Let’s do it. We’ll do, we’ll do an announcement at the end of the podcast and how to enter and things like that through social media and things. Chris, you’ve figured that out. Let later let’s, but let’s do it. Give some of that out. What was the, so why,

00:29:27:02 –> 00:29:30:27
Why the, I mean why does one light better than another? Is it

00:29:31:06 –> 00:29:34:03
Go through the blends? Cold, hot and what’d you call this?

00:29:34:06 –> 00:29:35:19
Ultra? Yeah, I’ll And the

00:29:35:19 –> 00:29:36:07
Ultra light. And

00:29:36:07 –> 00:29:48:18
This is something Yeah, the ultra light. So basically we have our winter blend, which is our blue blend. We have our summer blend, which is orange. We have an eco blend, which is green go green. Right. We’ve talked about this I believe before and everybody laughed.

00:29:49:02 –> 00:29:51:19
Well it’s just what, what I think is funny, this, you’re

00:29:51:19 –> 00:29:52:08
Burning stuff now.

00:29:52:13 –> 00:30:04:13
I’m just gonna say it. The more skews you have, the more money you make. And I’m just wondering, isn’t all the same stuff and you just add coloring? Or, or, or is it truly different? That’s, I wanna know, is it true coloring? That’s what I wanna know, Justin.

00:30:04:15 –> 00:30:46:23
No, it’s, well here’s literally kind of what I told them before. I says tell me the difference. Because if we only need one skew, I only have one skew. Yeah. It’s easier for me to maintain. Yeah. Putting in dealers and distributors and all that. And so we took a can of orange, threw it in the freezer, took a can of blue, threw it in the freezer and you pull it out to get the orange out, you gotta use your knife. ’cause it’s literally a thicker viscosity. Thicker. Thicker. Okay, so back to talking about engines. We’re talking motor oil viscosity. Yeah. It’s like running five 30 versus 10 30. Right. And so the blue one’s thinner viscosity. So when it’s really cold, you can still get it out and it’s pliable. And yet the synthetic fibers, which is what originally light up, those need to be exposed.

00:30:46:25 –> 00:31:12:28
And so in the summer when you go to try to light the blue, it’s gonna be more sticky and you’re not gonna be able to get the fibers exposed because it’s not meant to be used in that temperature. I see. But if you take the salmon and pull it out, you’ll be able to see the white, this perfectly fine fibers show up. And so that is literally the only question or complaint I have ever had with the company is somebody saying, Hey, I can’t get it to light. But they’re using the wrong blend at the wrong time. So there really is Yeah, exactly. There.

00:31:13:03 –> 00:31:22:14
So, well the winner, like if I buy winter blend and throw it, my four-wheeler, will it, you know, just drive, will it work all drive the call seasons and drive all seasons?

00:31:23:23 –> 00:31:38:02
I mean, you could definitely get to work. Yes. But you need to understand that it’s gonna be a lot, it’s gonna take a little bit more time to feather out the fibers, if that makes sense. Okay. If you’re trying to light it with a spark or something, that’s when it really comes down to picking the right blend. If you’re gonna use a flame, got a

00:31:38:02 –> 00:31:39:08
Blow torch a light, you’re good.

00:31:39:21 –> 00:31:40:08
Oh yeah. Blow.

00:31:40:19 –> 00:31:41:29
That’s, I want, I blow.

00:31:41:29 –> 00:31:49:11
Definitely. And so how does the ultra light, I believe you called it, is that what it’s called? Ultralight blend? Yes. What is it? A hybrid? It kind of in between the two or what? It’s,

00:31:49:11 –> 00:32:15:19
It it is, it’s kind of a hybrid and then it’s got more flammability, so it’s gonna put off a bigger flame. Oh yeah. So we like that. It’ll exactly, it’s made for those shows. Harsh environments, when you really need to get a fire going. Because I believe Chris did a great job when he did a video and he sent, he’s like, dude, this stuff’s amazing. He was out and it started raining and snowing on him and he sent me a text and I says, well would you, I says, you need to get a video of that. He’s, he’s like, I’ve already got it for you. Don’t worry.

00:32:17:03 –> 00:32:20:10
So it puts the pyro in, pyro putty. That’s what you’re

00:32:20:10 –> 00:32:21:17
Saying? Exactly. Yep. So

00:32:21:17 –> 00:32:26:13
We’re really excited for this. Wow. What a twist. Gotcha. We won’t even charge you for that, Justin. Geez.

00:32:27:07 –> 00:32:30:05
Yeah, we can start making gen jingles over here. Huh? Jingle?

00:32:30:05 –> 00:32:33:22
Yeah, jingle new hashtag hashtags, new hashtags. Anything like that.

00:32:33:26 –> 00:33:02:20
Well, and since we’re on it and Bronson’s come up with the ideas, I do need to tell everybody something that he was asking me at the expo once he came over and I was showing, I was demoing the ro, like literally you can take it and stick it on a 90 degree wall and it’ll sit there and burn. And he’s seen all that and after everybody left comes over, he is like, so you’re telling me I can stick that anywhere and it’ll burn? I says, yeah, so somebody kills a bigger deer than me, I can stick it to the side of their truck and it’ll sit there and burn. I says, you bet.

00:33:02:27 –> 00:33:03:06
Come

00:33:04:01 –> 00:33:04:24
Bro. He’s

00:33:05:10 –> 00:33:09:20
Sounds exactly like something he would do, dog. I do. Nate sounds like

00:33:10:03 –> 00:33:11:05
Dog crap. There’s

00:33:11:05 –> 00:33:14:04
A lot of bald guys. There’s a lot of bald guys walking

00:33:14:04 –> 00:33:18:06
Around the expo. That was not me. I don’t know who you mixed up. So

00:33:18:25 –> 00:33:22:07
Yeah, so, so Carter literally you need to keep an eye on him and

00:33:22:11 –> 00:33:23:01
Oh, no question.

00:33:23:05 –> 00:33:27:00
I was honestly thinking about telling you we may need to have him see our buddy Paul Marshall.

00:33:27:19 –> 00:33:30:28
Oh, there you go. Gas can, I’m just, the whole gas can. I’m

00:33:30:28 –> 00:33:32:17
Thinking it’s all coming together.

00:33:32:28 –> 00:33:38:24
The whole gas can buck. Paul Marshall, we got this. All you. That’s good. I’m glad you’re getting her

00:33:38:26 –> 00:33:40:23
Adams mixed up. I don’t know who you’re talking to.

00:33:42:03 –> 00:33:48:01
That’s good, Justin. Good stuff. Good stuff. Yeah. All right guy. Well, all right. Sounds good. Well yeah,

00:33:48:01 –> 00:33:51:18
Time. We’ll give some ultralight out here at the end of the podcast. Yeah, let’s just,

00:33:51:18 –> 00:33:55:28
We’ll give some, let’s send, send a bunch of the blends over and charge. John, would you,

00:33:56:22 –> 00:34:01:05
Let’s do it in two seconds. I gotta tell you guys. Yeah, I’ll definitely, dude, John’s great at paying.

00:34:02:01 –> 00:34:05:10
He’s good. He’s good at, no, I know, I know. He’s good at it. Like he,

00:34:05:10 –> 00:34:06:02
Yeah, he’s awesome.

00:34:06:18 –> 00:34:08:04
Alright, k. Couple, couple

00:34:08:04 –> 00:34:10:18
Advances real quick on telescope cases. We gotta talk about

00:34:10:18 –> 00:34:15:13
That in two seconds. Yeah, I saw you came out with like a, a something for the iPhone 11 or something.

00:34:16:07 –> 00:34:36:18
So yeah, all of our new cases, one thing that you’re gonna definitely get, using our new cases, you’ll be able to pick the lens you wanna use. You know, these phones are coming with three lenses soon to be six and then 12. Literally a nightmare and a headache for us. Oh right. We allow the user to pick the lens they wanna use. ’cause it, and sometimes you need a video up close and sometimes you gotta a video far away. More skis.

00:34:37:02 –> 00:34:38:10
I’m seeing it more skis. Yeah.

00:34:38:10 –> 00:35:02:29
You know, exactly. But we, we took our cases and we implemented a free floating technology behind it. Okay. To where your phone is not touching any physical hard plastic at all. So on all four corners you’ll see that we have a, it’s a special silicone shock absorbing material. Geez. That way if you drop your phone on all four corners, it’s basically gonna dampen the, the shock out of it.

00:35:03:05 –> 00:35:09:17
So with the wind, a little bit of wind, maybe it’ll just kind of roll with things a little bit. I don’t know, kind. Yeah.

00:35:09:17 –> 00:35:12:19
You know. Well, no, we’re just literally, we’re, we’re trying to make it to where,

00:35:13:00 –> 00:35:13:17
Take the shake,

00:35:13:18 –> 00:35:45:17
We’re hard on stuff, you know? I mean, yeah. We wanted to take the shake out of it and then we’ve got open foam strips on the very back. But what’s great with it free floating is, you know, when you put it in your pocket, you pull it out, put it in your pocket, it always gets that dirt, that dust that went, this allows it to basically flow through the case without sticking there, scratching the living crap outta your phone when you pull it out. So it’s, it’s something that we rolled out with the S tens and then we rolled into the iPhone elevens and pros and all that. So you’ll, you’ve seen that coming out. And so that was one thing I wanted to get you boys. We gotta get you guys free

00:35:45:19 –> 00:35:45:22
Floating,

00:35:45:23 –> 00:35:46:18
Upgraded phones,

00:35:46:20 –> 00:35:49:23
Taking technology from the rifle stock makers. So,

00:35:49:23 –> 00:35:55:01
Exactly. Yep. Yeah, no, that’s exactly it. That’s, you know, can

00:35:55:23 –> 00:35:58:01
Stealing ideas works, great ideas, stealing ideas. No,

00:35:58:13 –> 00:36:00:19
No. Implementing them into a different industry.

00:36:01:11 –> 00:36:06:00
Oh, self using synergy within the hunting industry to work together is collaboratively

00:36:07:03 –> 00:36:09:12
For the betterment of Justin, for the betterment of Justin. He’s

00:36:09:12 –> 00:36:17:25
On. Yeah, no. So we got, we got some fun things, man. I hope everybody stays safe. Yeah. And get this crap over with and Oh

00:36:17:25 –> 00:36:18:12
Yeah. People are,

00:36:18:12 –> 00:36:19:08
The only part is is

00:36:19:08 –> 00:36:20:08
People are gonna stay home.

00:36:20:08 –> 00:36:28:12
Everybody is CVID 19 approved. It’ll keep you socially distanced and you’ll be able to have a good time and cook some hot dogs and Oh yeah. Above.

00:36:28:24 –> 00:36:41:22
Right on. Well we appreciate, appreciate we’ll let you get back to work. We just thought we’d give you a holler this morning. Hey, good, good. That’s some good insight to Bronson. We really appreciate. Oh, that we need to know who we’re working with. We’ve with him for probably 15 years, but it’s nice to learn a little bit more about

00:36:41:22 –> 00:36:42:06
That. I like see

00:36:43:13 –> 00:36:44:07
Conversation

00:36:44:07 –> 00:36:45:14
Because that didn’t happen.

00:36:45:26 –> 00:36:49:18
And now you know why, that’s why I hunt elk and not deer because I don’t want my truck to

00:36:49:18 –> 00:36:56:00
Burn. I totally get that. Totally. Now and just imagine if you were hunting sheep. Now that’s, that’s for another podcast. Yeah.

00:36:56:09 –> 00:36:57:10
Yeah, it’s another podcast.

00:36:57:20 –> 00:36:58:25
Okay, sounds good buddy. Guys.

00:36:58:25 –> 00:36:59:12
Thank you. Alright.

00:36:59:12 –> 00:37:03:24
You bet. Talk to see you. Bye. Bye. Good stuff Bronson.

00:37:04:25 –> 00:37:09:10
Everybody’s, you know, got a few screws

00:37:09:13 –> 00:37:09:24
Loose. Yeah.

00:37:10:05 –> 00:37:16:19
This year they’re all cooped up and their memories are getting foggy. That’s what I’m say is,

00:37:17:02 –> 00:37:17:22
Oh heck.

00:37:17:29 –> 00:37:20:07
I’m not picking up what he put down on that.

00:37:20:09 –> 00:37:31:07
No. You know, there is, so Colorado did have some, you know, where they were taking surveys and whatnot and where you could submit your feedback on how the turnback system was working and, and

00:37:31:07 –> 00:37:55:22
The Yeah, we’re talking about when you draw a tag and decide you don’t wanna use it, you turn it back in to either get a refund to your points. That’s what we’re talking about, right? Yeah. Right. And that system’s been for some, they’ve liked it. They’ve been able to, I guess capitalize pick up tag. We, we’ve actually in our office picked up a few of those, a few of us over time. But it’s a little bit tricky. You’ve gotta be sitting at a computer feels like 24 7. But boy it does.

00:37:55:26 –> 00:37:56:00
I

00:37:56:00 –> 00:37:58:19
Mean there are parameters within, within it Tuesday through, not Monday, Tuesday through Tuesday

00:37:58:19 –> 00:37:59:00
Through Friday.

00:37:59:00 –> 00:38:01:06
And, and then they shut up five o’clock or four whatever, it’s

00:38:01:09 –> 00:38:10:18
Like nine to four or something. And anyway, and and every three minutes it’s updated and they’re, anyway. But it did allow for everybody to have a chance and tax came up even when the season started.

00:38:11:08 –> 00:38:11:14
Oh

00:38:11:14 –> 00:38:21:10
Yeah. And so, but anyway, our good friend Clint, he’s gotten his fair share of tags and his family by doing this process. I was just kinda wondering his opinion maybe and should we give him

00:38:21:10 –> 00:38:22:14
A call? Call him? Yeah,

00:38:22:14 –> 00:38:30:08
Let’s see now. Now honestly, Clint has no idea. He might not even pick up John. He doesn’t answer John’s calls. John’s gonna ask you about it. This

00:38:30:08 –> 00:38:32:10
Is gonna be good if he answers. We got him.

00:38:41:15 –> 00:38:41:26
Hello.

00:38:42:04 –> 00:38:45:09
What kind of obscure hunting situation you working on now?

00:38:46:20 –> 00:38:47:23
What’s that? What

00:38:47:23 –> 00:38:52:11
Do you, what do you got? What do you got in the works now? You got anything? Good, good for us?

00:38:53:06 –> 00:39:02:16
No, I’ve just been, today I’m tilling my garden and trying to keep all my kids busy doing yard work. That’s what I’ve been

00:39:02:23 –> 00:39:04:11
You’re doing the covid dad duty?

00:39:05:00 –> 00:39:07:27
Yeah, I, it’s kinda, it doesn’t pay very good.

00:39:08:06 –> 00:39:15:05
No, but all these women that say that we work and hunt too much and aren’t with our kids enough, they’re full of it, I would say. Oh yeah. Wouldn’t you think?

00:39:15:17 –> 00:39:15:29
Oh yeah.

00:39:17:08 –> 00:39:17:28
Okay, so,

00:39:18:00 –> 00:39:18:20
So what are you doing?

00:39:18:27 –> 00:39:23:11
Well we’re doing a podcast here and we got you live and we had a few questions for you.

00:39:24:18 –> 00:39:25:29
Okay. Yeah. What you got.

00:39:27:08 –> 00:39:27:28
Well, as

00:39:28:08 –> 00:39:47:09
Somebody that is capitalized, if I can use that word on the Colorado turnback tag system of yesterday. Yesterday, what do you think about some of the new proposed changes or the new survey that’s out right now? Or would you like to see it remain the same?

00:39:48:21 –> 00:39:52:15
I would prefer to see it remain the same white

00:39:52:15 –> 00:39:52:27
Right now.

00:39:54:04 –> 00:39:54:16
That’s

00:39:54:25 –> 00:39:55:15
Why Clint,

00:39:56:24 –> 00:40:06:19
I’ve been able to obtain a few tags from me, friends and family members due to the, due to the, you know, you

00:40:06:19 –> 00:40:06:25
Guys

00:40:06:25 –> 00:40:09:10
Have, I’ve been able to take advantage of the program, let’s put

00:40:09:10 –> 00:40:15:27
It that way. Not no, and not advantage. Meaning, meaning you’ve just been able to take part in it and it’s been good to you. You’ve

00:40:15:27 –> 00:40:20:13
Dedicated yourself because it’s, it’s not something you can do casually, right?

00:40:20:20 –> 00:41:01:25
Yeah. Well I’ve been doing that since they, since they started the reissue process and the leftover tags and a reissue. It used to be the, some of the first tags that I was able to get it was when the, they would have the once a week they would come out with a list in the morning at nine o’clock. Everybody would get on and try to get those tags. And it was basically erased to see whose computer was the fastest and whose internet speed right. Was the fastest. And the system would always log down and bog down and you would, you’d get it into your cart and you’d be waiting for a half hour and then you may or may not actually get the tag when it, when you finally caught the,

00:41:02:01 –> 00:41:06:07
So guys with dial up service in Modina, Utah probably wouldn’t get a tag.

00:41:06:19 –> 00:41:21:05
No, they’re not gonna get it. No, not gonna get it all. And then they came to the news. So they’ve been doing the last two years is the tags randomly appear. And I think that’s the fairest way to do it. It does tend to benefit a guy if you’re willing to sit there for and days

00:41:21:10 –> 00:41:22:14
And days and

00:41:22:14 –> 00:41:54:25
Days and like they update that list every five minutes. So if you’re willing to get on there and look at that list every five minutes when it updates and you are the fast one that knows how to, you know, get all that stuff entered into the system and get checked out faster than anybody else, I just think it’s a more fair and equitable, equitable way to do it. The people at the division don’t even know when those tags are gonna come available. And so they can’t give their buddy a heads up or anything like that. It’s a total random process and that’s what I like about it. No,

00:41:54:29 –> 00:41:56:13
No insider trading is

00:41:56:13 –> 00:41:56:22
What I’m

00:41:56:22 –> 00:42:21:13
Hearing. No, that’s a good point. And what I like, what I like about it too is these tags come about for months and so it’s not likely we have this secondary draw process. It’s a one-time shot, here you go. And we’re gonna distribute tags. It’s more like if you did your schedules change, whatever, September comes along, October comes along, November comes along and the season’s still open, you might find a tag. And so they’re just constantly updating this.

00:42:22:05 –> 00:42:31:28
Yeah. And I like it. It gives us a chance at a tag that I would’ve never had a chance at. And in the past I’ve, you know, some people like to complain about the process, but

00:42:34:20 –> 00:42:37:04
Whats a tag worth? You’re complain about you, what’s the tag worth to you?

00:42:37:11 –> 00:42:53:17
Right. And I’m like, I don’t wanna complain because the more complaints they get, the less likely that we’re able to actually get these tags. And I don’t wanna look a gift worse in the mouth on this, on mouth on this one. ’cause I’m just grateful that I have an opportunity to get tags that are turned back like

00:42:53:17 –> 00:43:02:18
This. Well dude, so last year tell us about, tell us about your hunt in Colorado. You got a turnback tag and you went over there and did a smash and grab 180 sevener.

00:43:03:16 –> 00:43:06:18
Well, yeah, well mine was, thanks

00:43:06:18 –> 00:43:07:26
Jason. Okay.

00:43:08:04 –> 00:43:15:21
Die I, I killed the 180 5. My brother killed the 180 7. My brother’s kid killed the 1 97. So and then all on

00:43:15:21 –> 00:43:16:24
Turnbacks. All on

00:43:16:24 –> 00:43:25:17
Turnbacks. All on Turnbacks and my, come on. And my cousin also on a turnback tag, he’s able to shoot like a 1 78, 1 79 bucks.

00:43:25:21 –> 00:43:28:27
One of these tags was when the season was on, wasn’t it? And you?

00:43:28:28 –> 00:44:30:05
Yes, the last tag was my cousin and we happened to finish one of my brother’s hunt during third season and we went out and my cousin had an elk tag. So we went out for the morning elk hunt after my brother had shot his buck and we hadn’t seen anything good. And so we thought, you know what, at nine o’clock the division opens and after this hunt starts, currently the way it was last year, you had to be, you had to pick it up from the division office. You couldn’t get it from any license agent, you just had to get it strictly from the division office. So at nine o’clock it came open and we went down and we parked in the parking lot at the division office and we just waited there and we just watched the list and walked in. After about an hour and a half of watching that list, we saw a good tag come available that and saw my cousin. He went running in there and he went in and he pushed to open the door and ran in there and I think they thought they were getting held up or something. Rob. Yeah, he just comes smashing there,

00:44:30:10 –> 00:44:31:29
Get out the way a tag get out the

00:44:31:29 –> 00:44:52:26
Way you right now, who’s the fastest person that can get me a tag? And so the, there was a gal there and she was pretty fast and he, they got through the process, they took his ID number, his c I d got the credit card, processed, the whole transaction, and he got the tag. And then he was jumping up and down yelling like a school girl all happy at this tag that he got. And

00:44:52:26 –> 00:44:54:06
You ran out and hunted a couple days,

00:44:54:08 –> 00:44:58:05
Huh? And we went out and we went out and hunted like two or three days and killed him a good buck. So,

00:44:58:09 –> 00:45:01:02
So like 50 bucks I want to say. Huh?

00:45:01:11 –> 00:45:13:13
I dunno. Oh it was, it was good. It was, and the division people, they were super happy. I mean we were, they were excited for us. He was excited. This was a tag that normally takes, I think it takes over 20 points to get

00:45:13:13 –> 00:45:27:26
Done. Yeah, it does. So, so part of that, Clint was they’ll do that after they go through the whole process of trying to give it to somebody else and utilize their points. It finally comes out during the season and it didn’t cost you any points. He actually gained a point from, from the regular draw process.

00:45:28:01 –> 00:45:31:01
Yep. Didn’t cost him a single point, he just had to pay the cost of the tag. Yeah.

00:45:31:09 –> 00:45:35:10
So when, when does this, when does this survey process end? Isn’t it soon?

00:45:36:04 –> 00:46:18:29
I don’t know. They’re putting a cap on the survey. If you go onto the, I think it’s the C P W page and you go to the big game section and it says they’re asking for surveys, they’re putting a cap at 3000 surveys and they ask you some questions that you know, have you hunted Colorado before? Just some basic questions and they ask what your opinion is on stuff and you know, get on there, give ’em your opinion. I give ’em my opinion and one thing they’re considering doing is there’ve been some complaints in the past and, and this is a complaint that I’ve had and I’ve hesitated to ever complain to them ’cause I don’t wanna mess up the system. But the really good tags, the tags take more than five points to get for residents. Those tags generally, you’re only gonna see those tags come available after the season starts.

00:46:19:06 –> 00:47:01:04
I know it. And part of it’s the process they go through. They have to get the, they have to call the next people in line for those tags to see if those people want ’em. And sometimes they don’t get through the list or that’s a tedious process. I don’t know all the ins and outs, but sometimes those tags don’t become available until the hunt starts. And the only way in the past you’ve been able to get ’em once the hunt starts is you gotta be there in person. So as a non-resident, we just happen to be there in Colorado and took advantage of it. But you can’t like get in your car and drive over and get one when it becomes available because it’ll be gone by the time you get there. And they’re considering they’re taking, they’re considering changing that to where you can buy it online or through any license agent. And so that’s a change they’re considering and that’s part of that survey is they ask you about that.

00:47:01:05 –> 00:47:08:24
So if one came available, you could buy it in Utah and then drive to, once you knew you had the tag, then drive to Colorado and hunt the remaining days of the hunt.

00:47:09:10 –> 00:47:16:26
Yep. Go drive over there and pick it up and you can just pick it up. You have two options when you check out. They’ll either mail it to you or you can fulfill it by

00:47:16:26 –> 00:47:17:02
Person.

00:47:17:16 –> 00:47:19:16
Go over and pick it up in person and just pick it up in person.

00:47:19:20 –> 00:47:21:18
You guys have gotten Gunnison tags in the past?

00:47:22:14 –> 00:47:25:20
Yep. We’ve got Gunnison tags all over. Well,

00:47:26:05 –> 00:47:27:14
Eagle County, everything.

00:47:27:14 –> 00:47:38:05
Eagle County tags we’ve had. I as a result, it was probably not super good on my marriage this last year. I mean, I was in Colorado for a while. Second.

00:47:38:05 –> 00:47:40:23
Yeah. But you’re doing nothing but kids and family time right now, making

00:47:40:23 –> 00:47:41:26
Up for that right now. Make sure

00:47:41:26 –> 00:47:45:06
You put it on the calendar. It works. You gotta keep track of this stuff. Oh yeah.

00:47:45:18 –> 00:48:27:12
It’s, I’ve, I really enjoyed it. I mean, we’ve been able to take advantage of some tags and do it, and you gotta play the, you know, part of they’re considering if they want to keep randomly having the tags pop up on a list, they’re considering going back to the system where the once a week they come out with a list or, and then publish that list and have everybody available at the same time. And I don’t like that one as much. It doesn’t seem quite as fair to me. It’s whoever has the fastest internet speed. The other thing that happens on those is if you get it from a licensed agent, their systems, they’re kind of hardwired into the C P W system and they tend to be able to, they’re process stuff faster. They’re,

00:48:27:12 –> 00:48:27:18
They’re

00:48:27:18 –> 00:48:31:29
Faster if you’re there in person. People in person. So it does give an edge to people standing in line at a license office.

00:48:32:05 –> 00:48:43:05
Gotcha. Well, that’s good insight, man. Good insight. I mean, we knew you’d, we knew you’d weigh in on that one. We called you cold Turkey, but that’s kind of a new thing we do here now. So. Yeah. Hopefully next time

00:48:43:16 –> 00:48:45:14
I call on, I wouldn’t sound like a big idiot, but,

00:48:46:04 –> 00:48:53:12
No, it’s good. I think just go back to planting peas. If you plant peas first in life, don’t you? I, I don’t know much about gardening, but that’s, my wife says

00:48:53:26 –> 00:48:57:11
Waxy leaves don’t freeze as easy. That’s what I was always taught those waxy pea leaves.

00:48:57:23 –> 00:48:58:01
What

00:48:58:01 –> 00:49:01:20
Do you I’m not really growing a garden. I’m growing kids. That’s kinda what

00:49:01:20 –> 00:49:14:26
I’m, that’s a deep thought. Wow. Start calling you Jack Handy. Remember that back? Deep thoughts deep by Jack Handy. Back in s n l day, probably lady 30 nineties.

00:49:15:20 –> 00:49:16:02
Didn’t

00:49:16:02 –> 00:49:29:07
Give these, these bachelors over here, Clint. They’re looking at, I’m like, who the hell’s car Jeff Broon talking about? They don’t even know who they’re talking about. So anyway, you do, Clint, you’re from our era. So you remember those estimate days? Oh,

00:49:29:07 –> 00:49:30:20
I remember all that stuff. Yeah. Oh yeah.

00:49:31:05 –> 00:49:31:16
All right.

00:49:31:23 –> 00:49:34:08
These guys don’t even know who Mr. Rogers is or anything.

00:49:35:21 –> 00:49:38:07
Geez. That’s when we do know. Oh,

00:49:39:09 –> 00:49:41:25
We’re starting to get into something where your memory,

00:49:42:19 –> 00:49:49:19
Our generation, well, yeah, they threw out some board game that Carter and I hadn’t even, there’s Oregon Trail. I didn’t even know about that. I

00:49:49:19 –> 00:49:50:05
Don’t even know about it.

00:49:50:29 –> 00:49:51:10
Computer game

00:49:52:02 –> 00:49:54:07
App. It’s an app. It not a board game. It’s an

00:49:54:29 –> 00:49:56:04
Oh, it’s an, it’s it a

00:49:56:04 –> 00:50:00:13
Board. It’s like Candy Crush. She’s probably like Candy Crush for It’s a computer game.

00:50:00:13 –> 00:50:02:08
Yeah. We did not have apps when we were 12.

00:50:02:18 –> 00:50:03:19
I thought it was a board game.

00:50:04:07 –> 00:50:05:18
I didn’t know anything about it.

00:50:05:29 –> 00:50:09:24
No, we had a, we had to install it. It came in a big box. We had to install it on the computer. Oh,

00:50:09:27 –> 00:50:16:12
Funny thing is, that was a long time ago. This was, it was like green, wasn’t it? Like green? Yeah. The black and white

00:50:16:22 –> 00:50:19:00
Computers. Do you guys even know what Atari is? Yeah. Yeah,

00:50:19:08 –> 00:50:19:29
You do. Atari.

00:50:20:09 –> 00:50:20:19
We never

00:50:20:19 –> 00:50:22:08
Played it, but we know what it is because

00:50:22:08 –> 00:50:24:05
Your older siblings played it. I don’t

00:50:24:05 –> 00:50:25:25
Know what that is. Yeah, they wouldn’t let us play it.

00:50:25:25 –> 00:50:26:29
Alright, Clint, you good

00:50:27:06 –> 00:50:28:25
Night driver with the little paddle? I’m good.

00:50:28:28 –> 00:50:31:08
All right, you guys. Keep it up. Enjoy the podcast. Thanks

00:50:31:08 –> 00:50:32:00
A lot. Keep me busy.

00:50:32:00 –> 00:50:38:24
Alright. Tell, tell jojo we said hey. Alright. And remember toy count these days as as dad days, that’s we, we

00:50:38:29 –> 00:50:40:12
Anoint you the dad of the day award.

00:50:41:13 –> 00:50:41:26
I don’t care

00:50:41:26 –> 00:50:43:25
What she, I don’t you county,

00:50:44:02 –> 00:50:45:05
We don’t care what she says.

00:50:45:19 –> 00:50:50:19
Need to start banking all these days right now. So when October comes around, I got something to work with.

00:50:50:25 –> 00:50:57:12
That’s right. Well at least put it on paper. It’s hard to, hard, hard argue with paper. Didn’t happen. I, I’ve found out Jan’s locked some paper.

00:50:58:08 –> 00:51:01:10
I found out that can that can go both ways. It can, it can come.

00:51:01:15 –> 00:51:06:07
Well, Clint, Clint, you knew Janet. You knew my wife before we got married, didn’t you? Back in college days.

00:51:06:22 –> 00:51:11:02
Yep. I knew your wife way back in the That was a long time ago. Yeah, back in college.

00:51:11:15 –> 00:51:20:29
Long time ago. Clint and I go way back. So, all right guys. Thanks Clint. Appreciate the insight. Keep growing kids. All right. Yeah. No more new kids. Just grow the ones you got. Got no

00:51:20:29 –> 00:51:21:29
More new ones. All right,

00:51:22:15 –> 00:51:22:25
We’ll

00:51:22:28 –> 00:51:23:02
See you

00:51:23:02 –> 00:51:24:02
Later. Alright, talk to you later.

00:51:24:10 –> 00:51:25:07
Bye. See you. Bye.

00:51:27:16 –> 00:51:30:02
I don’t know what else to say. We’ve been, we’ve been here long enough.

00:51:30:08 –> 00:52:20:11
So this week we’re gonna give away two pyro putty gift packs. We’re gonna do that this coming Thursday, April 9th at 11:59 PM Mountain Standard time. Do that you’re gonna be entered to win and we’re gonna draw that, like I said, this coming Thursday, April 9th.

00:52:20:23 –> 00:52:23:05
We’ve got a little fun though. We ready for the end on the phone?

00:52:23:05 –> 00:52:29:18
Yeah, let’s do it. Let’s end on a good high note. We’ve talked enough about state stuff. That’s right. That’s about 15 minutes of this whole podcast. That’s enough.

00:52:30:04 –> 00:52:31:17
We need to ask Devin to leave the room.

00:52:31:29 –> 00:52:33:14
Devin, would you leave the room? Are you kidding me?

00:52:33:17 –> 00:52:39:11
We just got a brief, we just got a brief final take a I’ll take a restroom break. No, real quick, real quick. Get a couple

00:52:39:11 –> 00:52:40:18
Monsters real quick. Is it number one or

00:52:40:18 –> 00:52:52:14
Number two? No. Hey, number one. Okay. No. And I, on the monster thing, I need you to have a fresh un a fresh palette. Fresh palette. You’ll know, you’ll understand when you come back. Okay, here

00:52:52:14 –> 00:53:23:26
We go. Get that ready. This is, so just for those of you guys out there that don’t know what we’re doing. So Devon says he knows and can taste the different brands of water and there’s only one brand that matters. And that’s Nestle. He, he hates everything else. So what we’re doing, we’ve got some different brands of water here, including a Nestle. What do we got? Dasani, Nestle, and Arrowhead. There is no way he knows which one Nestle is. What do you gotta add there? Bronson? Put it back on. What I

00:53:23:26 –> 00:53:33:02
Want you guys to see is, I wanted to do this in front of you all. So you, this was legit. Yeah. You’re gonna see they’ve got numbers on the bottom. All right.

00:53:33:03 –> 00:53:36:04
It’s by the witness. You know, we have multiple witnesses. That’s it is

00:53:36:26 –> 00:53:42:04
Okay. This the one he likes and you know where it’s going. Okay. Okay. We might wanna sketch that down on page

00:53:42:04 –> 00:53:43:02
Number two. Yeah. What number is that?

00:53:43:09 –> 00:53:45:10
Just write, don’t say it out loud. He could be having

00:53:45:10 –> 00:53:49:05
His So Nestle, what’s the bottom two? Yeah,

00:53:49:24 –> 00:53:52:28
Yeah, but we just switched it. So, so, okay,

00:53:53:23 –> 00:53:54:05
I’m sorry.

00:53:55:08 –> 00:54:05:07
Write that down. Okay. I’m filling these s half full because he might, he might need a couple tastes.

00:54:05:27 –> 00:54:06:06
Okay.

00:54:07:06 –> 00:54:10:18
Wait. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Get out here. Came in too far.

00:54:10:26 –> 00:54:15:04
Ball. It was quick. Definitely my number one. Okay.

00:54:16:25 –> 00:54:17:18
Yeah, get some.

00:54:17:26 –> 00:54:21:08
Which one’s this one? Tap. Oh, tap.

00:54:22:03 –> 00:54:23:25
Okay, now I’ve gotta do just a second.

00:54:23:27 –> 00:54:25:06
Well, that’ll make a guy gag

00:54:28:13 –> 00:54:53:01
Bull crap. He’s not gonna be able to tell the difference in any of it. What we’re doing here Yeah. Is a couple co podcasts ago we were talking about, it was in the hoarding phase of the initial C Ovid 19 outbreak. And you couldn’t find bottled water and it came up. So Devon has been very outspoken as well, that he think there’s only one kind of bottled water by far. Berries, every other kind of bottled water. Devon’s

00:54:53:01 –> 00:54:54:19
Kind of high maintenance. Let’s be honest, I,

00:54:54:24 –> 00:55:10:28
I don’t know. I’m, we’re just, so we’re having a little fun. We’ve got four kinds of water lined up here today. One of which is his purported best of water. You know, it’s not from Beaver County. I think they claim that at least the billboard driving through Beaver says that,

00:55:11:01 –> 00:55:16:14
But no, they have pig farms in Beaver County. Okay. So it’s no way. It’s beavers

00:55:16:14 –> 00:55:17:17
Carry Giardia. Yeah.

00:55:17:20 –> 00:55:24:24
So, so I don’t, there’s no way It’s true. No way. I don’t know. Just talk out loud, loud. So everybody loves their hometown. I get it. But, alright, so here we go. Stick to

00:55:24:24 –> 00:55:29:28
The telephone or whatever that don’t they claim something with the telephone and Yeah.

00:55:29:28 –> 00:55:31:17
Anyway. Yeah. Alright.

00:55:31:24 –> 00:55:32:28
Devon, we got a little game.

00:55:33:15 –> 00:55:37:25
We know you like water and you’re trying to get away from the kidney stones that Wyatt had. So we

00:55:37:25 –> 00:55:41:05
Got a little game here called the Epic Water Challenge.

00:55:41:12 –> 00:55:42:07
Come on. Okay.

00:55:42:15 –> 00:55:43:28
And, and, and I’ve had, if

00:55:43:28 –> 00:55:44:29
You, everybody’s

00:55:44:29 –> 00:56:01:05
Watched these clean, everybody’s watched these, these are three perfectly. I wanna put your mind at ease. Don’t run to the strip quite yet because these are all brand new open water bottles. You can’t And brand new cups. Okay. They’re not, they haven’t been used. I don’t want you to think that. Hey, if I drink that, I’m getting sick. That one looks a

00:56:01:05 –> 00:56:10:11
Little somebody. He’s got a little something in it. No, they’re not. Come on on. That is crystal clear. Perfect. Beautiful water bottles bottle.

00:56:10:25 –> 00:56:26:08
Okay, well, so we’ve got, we’ve got Arrowhead, we’ve got Dasani, we’ve got Nestle, which is your, your purported favorite, right? And then one of these is tap water. Just tap. We’re, and we’re in Utah, and I think we got pretty good tap water in Utah. Yeah,

00:56:26:22 –> 00:56:28:23
I think it’s the best. Especially down here in the industrial park.

00:56:29:13 –> 00:56:38:29
So there’s four kinds of water here. And I didn’t, that’s why. So I just want you to randomly random. No, you, we talked about this on a podcast, so we did,

00:56:38:29 –> 00:56:39:17
But I

00:56:39:17 –> 00:56:40:16
Want you to decide. But

00:56:40:16 –> 00:56:46:17
What I just want everyone to know, this stem, me and Wyatt were talking about. I’m like, do you like that Arrowhead water? He is like, no, not really. Really?

00:56:47:05 –> 00:56:48:05
Yeah. Well, and

00:56:48:05 –> 00:56:48:24
I said, well, you’re next.

00:56:49:20 –> 00:56:52:20
I always buy my water at Costco, Kirkland or Nestle, whatever it is.

00:56:52:23 –> 00:56:53:29
Those are the best. Okay. I was like,

00:56:53:29 –> 00:56:56:16
I feel like it’s a little better, but, okay, so that’s, what do you mean

00:56:57:03 –> 00:57:01:23
This wasn’t a little better? This was like, I dead set no questions

00:57:01:23 –> 00:57:03:05
Asked. So you want me to drink these and tell you?

00:57:03:06 –> 00:57:05:04
Yeah. So one in any order, do you want doesn?

00:57:05:04 –> 00:57:08:08
That one looks like tap water. I don’t know. I don’t know. Save that to

00:57:08:15 –> 00:57:09:02
Come on.

00:57:09:19 –> 00:57:14:11
I don’t know. So here it goes. Just take ’em all. Just take ’em all. And when maybe you make the judgment when you’re done,

00:57:15:13 –> 00:57:19:10
You keep gulping like that, you’re gonna have to take a leak here really quick. Again,

00:57:20:15 –> 00:57:27:26
This kind of reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite. When they’re ta tasting the milk and trying to determine the blemish. Remember

00:57:28:10 –> 00:57:28:23
That’s,

00:57:29:25 –> 00:57:30:01
Oh,

00:57:34:08 –> 00:57:41:14
That’s what, good or bad. You’ve never drank three.

00:57:42:17 –> 00:57:43:10
That’s good water.

00:57:43:24 –> 00:57:44:29
Okay. What’s the last one?

00:57:45:29 –> 00:57:46:28
One has bubbles.

00:57:47:14 –> 00:57:47:28
What the,

00:57:48:08 –> 00:57:50:06
You’ve gotta drink it. Hey, you drink. There’s

00:57:50:06 –> 00:57:54:00
A number. No, I promise. We promise there is nothing in here other than water.

00:57:55:11 –> 00:57:59:12
Tap water. Really? No question, huh?

00:57:59:19 –> 00:58:04:25
No question. No question. Let’s do that one right off the bat. D number ding ding number one. You are, let’s

00:58:04:26 –> 00:58:05:26
Tap water. Okay.

00:58:06:05 –> 00:58:10:02
Wow. You had a problem with the clarity. You had a problem with the taste. What’s number?

00:58:10:05 –> 00:58:10:26
What was that number?

00:58:11:27 –> 00:58:16:24
That one’s the number one with numer. Like a, it’s a official number one. There’s

00:58:16:24 –> 00:58:17:05
That a four.

00:58:17:29 –> 00:58:20:05
That’s the one I called this. No,

00:58:20:16 –> 00:58:21:07
That’s a four.

00:58:21:21 –> 00:58:24:13
Well that’s a four. This is what it looked like to me. And so this is you what

00:58:24:13 –> 00:58:26:10
I did. Okay, there you go. Four. That’s my lineup. Which

00:58:26:10 –> 00:58:27:11
One? Which one? Which one’s which

00:58:28:08 –> 00:58:28:20
Paired.

00:58:30:29 –> 00:58:33:11
Holy crap. You are dead on.

00:58:34:07 –> 00:58:35:23
I told you guys, you

00:58:35:23 –> 00:58:38:14
Are dead on. He got every one of a

00:58:38:14 –> 00:58:39:19
Bronze. You’re filming this.

00:58:39:27 –> 00:58:41:04
Got every one of

00:58:41:06 –> 00:58:41:10
’em.

00:58:41:27 –> 00:58:52:05
He got every one of’em. Look right here. Look right here. Nestle’s number two. Okay. Number two, arrowhead’s. Number three. Boom. Number three. The Dasani was the four slash one. It looked like through the water.

00:58:52:08 –> 00:58:54:13
I said as soon as I drank, I said, that’s good water. You did.

00:58:54:13 –> 00:58:57:02
I put by the Nestle. You did, but that’s good water. And it was Nestle. They’re all

00:58:57:03 –> 00:58:57:13
Water.

00:58:58:06 –> 00:59:00:05
They’re all water. I don’t get it. Broon.

00:59:00:05 –> 00:59:00:23
There’s slight difference.

00:59:01:02 –> 00:59:06:02
I am, I stand corrected. We need to end this podcast. Wow. We used to drink outta garden hoses when we were

00:59:06:03 –> 00:59:07:07
That’s me. I did the same thing.

00:59:07:07 –> 00:59:09:00
Secondary water systems. Not even

00:59:09:20 –> 00:59:10:11
Chlorinated. Yeah.

00:59:10:23 –> 00:59:13:18
I don’t know. Then, then your parents, Hey, remember I

00:59:13:18 –> 00:59:18:06
Told you, don’t drink that up. Put that to rest everybody. Put it to rest. It was pretty impress I thought. Impressive. It was gonna be, Hey. Yeah,

00:59:18:06 –> 00:59:18:29
Yeah. I’m impressed.

00:59:19:05 –> 00:59:24:13
I So sorry we questioned you. Yeah, that we did. Wasn’t fair. These two,

00:59:24:28 –> 00:59:27:20
You know what you’re talking about. But I, I couldn’t do what you just

00:59:27:20 –> 00:59:31:17
Did. Let’s call it a day. Let’s go back to work. That wasn’t even funny. Got No, he got it.

00:59:31:25 –> 00:59:32:12
He nailed it.

00:59:34:11 –> 00:59:34:24
Oh yeah.

00:59:35:01 –> 00:59:39:29
All right. I guess, Wyatt, you’re next for the the game. Devin. Devin, I could never talk that.

00:59:40:06 –> 00:59:49:24
We’re gonna come out with a summer blend. Winter blend and how to tell the difference or something for white. I don’t. Besides color. I don’t know. Uddy. Who knows. Thanks for listening, everybody. Be safe.
